i'm doign this in anon cause i don't want shippers to attack me for my opinion and sorry in advanced if you get any hate :x but i still don't see any romance in yuumika, i've seen some people say you made them ship yuumika because of that post you made but can you make me believe that there's actual romance in that ship? you don't have to answer this btw :x

I don’t know about the latter but if after this reply you can’t see it then i don’t know what else i can tell you? It’s up to you whether your pov on their relationship changes or no. Also all of what’s below was written not as a shipper but as a realist.

For starters you mentioned and emphasized the word romance and that word is related to the word love. Here’re some canon romantic implications. Let’s start off with the most important one which happens to be this one.

Do you see that word? LOVE. Ferid’s implying something and let me tell you that whenever Ferid implies on Mika’s feelings towards Yuu they’re mainly romantic. 

That small panel is worth so much. “Into him” is a romantic implication, not a platonic implication. Mika’s eyes weren’t showed, all we know is that he didn’t deny this statement. Mika’s reaction towards Ferid’s words was blushing. If a person isn’t romantically interested in a person then they would’ve shot this statement down with “We’re just family” or “Shut up” but no, Mika blushed and didn’t deny this. 

Then there’s this

That pretty much speaks for itself.

The nicknames (if you could call it that) Ferid has given Yuu are also an implication of some sort. If Mika didn’t show any romantic interest in Yuu then why is Ferid teasing him and why is Mika not denying them?

Moving onto Yuu’s side. 

This right here is a romantic implication. Yuu unconsciously said Mika’s name out loud and Shinoa made this assumption which Yuu never denied. Mika was regarded as a past lover and that’s a really big (with capital letters and exclamation marks) romantic implication.

Onto this, Yuu hates vampires with a burning passion but is willing to overlook that fact because it’s Mika. Mika is the exception because there’s “love” whether it’s familial or romantic it’s up to you to decide. Only love can make one look past faults and care for a person the way Yuu does with Mika.

Now this, let’s talk about how losing Mika the first time affected Yuu greatly and how this shows us that Yuu can’t afford to lose Mika again, let alone Mika dying for Yuu. Yuu can’t live without Mika and vice versa, they can’t function without the other and need to be together to be at ease. It’s just impossible for them to be apart because of their strong sense of yearning and there’s no display of the same yearning as the one displayed in their relationship. 

Last but not least, of all ways to hold hands they held hands in the most intimate and romantic way; they interlocked fingers. That’s romantic, not platonic.

Moving onto the part where Mika unwillingly turns into a vampire. Do you see how much it pains Mika to drink from the person he treasures the most? 

But do you also see how it surprises Yuu that this is the first time he’s actually seen Mika break down in front of him? and that he’s mainly why he’s crying as well?

How do you not see that what Mika feels isn’t platonic? Mika’s terrified that Yuu may hate him and that’s why he cries, Mika fears being hated by the only person he has left in the world. If Yuu were to hate him then it would be the same as dying for Mika because his reason for existing would cease, he’d no longer feel wanted.

Let’s move onto the scene where Mika’s lips came in contact with Yuu’s neck. 

Yuu initially made a cut on his wrist/hand but guess where Mika drank from?

Also look at the position

He’s literally straddling/on top of him. That’s romantic, not platonic. Then after Mika finished drinking Yuu’s blood these were the reactions, they were both blushing. 

I’m pretty sure this wasn’t just because of embarrassment. This was an intimate moment for these two because of the position they were in, Yuu offered his blood, Mika allowed himself to break down in front of Yuu, Yuu caressed Mika’s hair while Mika was drinking, and because it’s just them.

Last but not least, the way they look at each other when they smile.

Friends and family don’t look at each other like this. Look at how Yuu looks at Mika when he sees him laughing. Mika left Yuu speechless with just smiling at him. Honestly do you think that Yuu didn’t feel his heart flip because his eyes beg to differ. Yuu looks like he just found a new world wonder.

What happens from here on out is all on Kagami and all we can do is hope for the best. I as a realist know that if there’s any couple that would make most sense for being canon that it would be MikaYuu. It’s because the couple with most heavily romantic implications from both sides is MikaYuu. It’s also the couple that’s most beautifully developed both platonically and romantically. The couple that can be justified for being endgame due to all the key moments in their relationship is MikaYuu. MikaYuu has all the advantages and has actual evidence of romantic implications some of which is mutual and is lacking in other Yuu pairings. 

MikaYuu is just so beautiful like damn you don’t know what you’re missing.

mika: *didn’t want yuu to feel guilty about him becoming a vampire*

mika: *cried for the first time in years after seeing yuu again*

mika: *protected shinoa with his own body even though he was angry at the moon demon company*

mika: *lied to the other vampires bc he intended to spare aiko’s life*

mika: *is undyingly loyal to yuu*
