Reincarnation AU
There is, of course, the very beautiful version of this prompt that I’ve seen countless times. But what if it was this:
You have a pairing reincarnating. And they meet each other in several life times. But they’re always “blocked” in some capacity from fully meeting. So it’s less, “Reuniting in every era they meet” and more “interruptions left and right until someone just goes for it.”
(It could be angsty, funny, dark, fluffy, any direction you wish)

"And that is how Sammy's day out of the zoo went."
Elsie looked up from her spot in the corner, beaming as the children quietly clapped. She preferred Charles' own stories, but she hadn't minded the change in pace. You could only talk about dragons for so long before your readers wanted to go in different directions.
Eyeing one child in particular, the one who sat closest to the storyteller, her beam only grew. One look at Becky, and you would never know anything was wrong. Far from it.
Short brown hair, choppy thick strands that'd probably been cut by a friend if the woman had to wager, had bounced excitedly along to the tale of Sammy the Seal. The most charming dark brown eyes, ones that spoke of well-meaning scrapes and adventures, remained fixed on Charles despite all the chatter of the crowd.
They hadn't any chance to meet before-hand. But she already knew she liked Becky, and could only hope the little girl would feel the same.
Of course, now was as good a time as any to find out.
(In which Charles is Becky’s older sibling, not Elsie.)

Friendly Reminders
For Being Afraid to Start:
It’s okay to be afraid. It’s okay to keep your work private. The fact that you’re writing is enough.
Chances are, someone out there is going to love it.
For Your Stories that Don’t Get a Lot of Love:
Someone out there does love it, whether they show it or not.
Sometimes we choose the wrong platform for our work. Consider posting to another site (it really can make an astonishing difference).
For Writing Ideas that are “Out There”:
Most of my favorite pieces are the ones that are “out there” in concept. And I know I’m not the only one.
How will the world ever flourish if we don’t test the possibilities?
For When You Get a Bad Review:
This review doesn’t reflect you or your self-worth.
Honestly, this reviewer might be upset with themselves, not you.

She's not one for sentimentality. That's not to say she doesn't indulge in it from time to time, only that she doesn't let herself get carried away with it.
Yet there is a rose tucked away in her sitting room. A rose that she knows came from the flower show. With this rose comes a smile she can't force off her face. She doesn't know how he's managed this little gift. She can't help but recall his regret over their having to miss the show. She can't help but also recall she told him it was perfectly all right –– especially considering the Dowager Countess was liable to win once again.
And then she had forgotten it. Forgotten the whole thing, until whispers of Mr. Mason winning the Best Bloom reached her ears. She had shaken her head at such mutterings, allowing amazement to pass through her for only a moment. After that, it was a matter of returning to her work and going back to forgetting the whole thing.
But how can she forget it now? How can she do anything but gently pluck a petal from the flower, inventing an excuse to sneak into his pantry while he's not there, and slip the petal somewhere discrete, somewhere only he'll see it? She'll let the smile go in a minute, she'll go back to forgetting soon enough. But right now she wants to make a little gesture. She wants to hint at her knowledge and her gratuity, and she knows this'll do the trick.
And it really will. He'll be confused for a brief spell, wondering if a petal fell off in his haste. But how could it have landed in a drawer if he'd never opened any? Besides, it doesn't look like it'd fallen. It looks as though it had been meticulously placed––
It'll all click together. He won't be able to help his own smile.
He'll set the petal back, give it another smile and quietly carry on.
In which Charles and Elsie have been married from the start.
