hanamaki takahiro is BUILT for this he has fun hair he’s weird he’s engaging his he’s colorful his water bottle is covered in stickers he has sandals on toes Out he is shameless he’s kinda unhinged it so works. he’s a counselor but almost never has a cabin to himself he’s more like a sub if someone else has gets sick or whatever but when he shows up it’s like a celebrity sighting a monumentous occasion. if he’s not needed anywhere else he’s helping out with arts and crafts his favorite artworks are the ones where you can’t tell what the fuck it’s supposed to be. he has lots of string friendship bracelets he knows how to make them but lies whenever someone asks he just gives them one he gatekeeps cuz he thinks it’s funny and teaching is too much work. he tells the most Outrageous ghost stories and is the reason only half of the kids will go in the lake he talks about bigfoot and campers who went missing and the town’s curse he is carrying on legacies he is SO fun.

iwaizumi hajime is the Coolest fucking counselor ever. bandana around his head sleeves cut off of the uniform tshirt (muscle tee now) he has friendship bracelets a beat up watch one anklet his water bottle is on its last leg he has a dinosaur keychain on his backpack he like epitomizes cool guy the kids idolize him. his cabin wins every single camp-wide competition every time like he’s peak athleticism and he’s just like so awesome or whatever it’s contagious. he picks kids up and throws them in the lake and pool if a frisbee gets stuck in a tree he gets it every time he caught a snake once and took it back to the woods everyone wants to sit next to him in the mess hall he can’t build a fire and is mad about it he sleeps like a fucking Rock and snores like a lawnmower and eats enough for 3 people at every meal.

oikawa tooru is a lifeguard. at the pool at the lake he’s always around the water somehow and Everyone has a crush on him. up on his lifeguard chair sunglasses on his skin is all golden whistle around his neck or spinning on his finger his hair somehow always looks good he wears a headband one day and someone literally faints. he teaches swimming and canoeing lessons and is really good at it he almost Never has to save anyone for someone who works by the water you’d think they’d swim a little more. he’s pretty quiet when he’s on duty he takes the job seriously but he’s a fucking motormouth when he’s off that chair he will Not shut up. he sits w the boys at meals running that fucking mouth pisses them off So Bad he blatantly flirts/fights with iwaizumi when the kids aren’t around and Refuses to get into a canoe with him bc it always ends up getting flipped. he’s really good with the younger kids they’re his favorite to work with but he is generally well liked throughout the camp he’s like everyone’s counselor crush and he always eats raisin bran for breakfast.

matsukawa issei is the camp cryptid he works with the older kids who like go backpacking and spend all their time in the woods he emerges looking like he’s been there all his life. he kinda just appears sometimes doing odd jobs taking things to the lost and found feeding the chickens fishing things out of the lake general camp maintenance he materializes out of the trees with a fire extinguisher a neon yellow backpack and a missing camper. he’s often accompanied by the camp dog so there are theories (encouraged by takahiro) that he’s actually a werewolf and that’s why he’s everywhere some people think he is the camp dog issei thinks this is very funny. the only place he’s consistently found is the mess hall at meals otherwise when not wandering or in the forest he can be found hanging out with hiro coming up with new ghost stories playing some sort of sport with hajime or pouring water on tooru’s head wherever he happens to be. issei is the best campfire builder on the property and some of the kids are scared of him he never has his phone can only be contacted by walkie-talkie he is the jack of all trades.

I just stumble into a discourse about how Aang doesn't respect/love Katara enough because he doesn't build a statue of her, and how if Katara ends up with Zukko he will obviously build one for her as a token of his love and respect.

Tbh, I can't even take that seriously, I mean? in what world do you think Katara needs anyone to build a statue for her? If Toph can go anywhere and build herself a statue I very much believe Katara can do the same thing. She doesn't need any man or woman to build a statue for her, nor she wants one (for now), I think that's why we don't see any statue of her.

And Aang literally built a whole island of Air nomads with so many cultural influences from Nothern watertribe. Air nomads are mostly donned in gold, yellow, and orange, but you can see that Air Temple Island has so many blue/navy right from the structure of the temple itself to the dining halls, not to mention that the practice ground has yin and yang symbol which is obv a waterbender culture.

You don't have to lie through your teeth and say Aang doesn't love Katara enough cause he doesn't build her a statue when he fuckn builds her a whole island rich in his and Katara's culture. He builds her a home, a forever one.

I believe that Tenzin actually made a betrothal necklace, but since we don't see Pema wearing any, I believe he made it for Lin, and since they don't end up together, the necklace now sitting collecting dust inside a box he kept on his study. He can't bring himself to give it to Pema because when he crafted it, it wasn't her in his mind, but he can't make another one either cause it's something he holds sacred. That betrothal necklace was the closest thing he got to marrying the love of his life, yet when he decided to not giving it turned out to be the lost of his life. So, every once in a blue moon, he would open the box, admiring the necklace and wising it was wrapped around Lin's neck rather than collecting dust in his study.

I think her biggest karma is Rohan, Tenzin's youngest son. Rohan bore a pair of green eyes but not exactly her shade of greens. Rohan who looks exactly like Tenzin with his brown hair, but has her eyes. Because Rohan is everything she wishes for in her quiet nights, cool bed, and empty house.

Rohan is exactly what the future of her and Tenzin would look like if they held on strong a long time ago.

I think Tenzin biggest karma is when he looks at Pema's green eyes he wishes it was Lin's, every single time. Like, when he wakes up in the morning and looks at those green eyes he always wonders for a second why it wasn't the correct shade, or why it lacks the sparkles he loves so much, then reality hits and he feels bad for his wife.

I truly believe he love Pema, but the love he has for Lin runs so much deeper.

I was deep in linzin trenches rn, my babiesss I just love their dynamic together, they're the power couple we were robbed of. I don't hate pema per say, I just think her character lacks the complexity that lin or tenzin have.

Also, the way she told korra to pursue and insert herself into someone else relationship just because she believes she's the right one for her 'soulmate' rubbed me so wrong, mam? please?

and after all these years she still so bitter about lin, and so fuckn rude to her when all lin does is protect her and her high-sugar kids. mam are u still jealous? or do you still think tenzin will be back with lin?.

I feel so bad for her that the writer only give her personality as a mother and tenzin's wife, nothing more. I think, as the madam of the island we should see her being someone in charge of the daily operation of the island itself, like maybe have some scene in the background of her and another acylotes discussing or meditating. Her presence for me is just as a baby maker and if that was it is I fuckin will not forgive the writer to do her so dirty.

The thing I love about Nishinoya is, he went to Karasuno completely clueless about the former glory of its volleyball team, the boi just enroll cause he think the school uniform is cool and cute, also because its closer to his grandpa house, while with his skill he can easily enroll to another power house school, but he didn’t. It shows that he play volleyball not be praise for or to feed on attentions, he just play simply cause he loves it. no other reasons  .
