I love watching early episodes of Futurama; the year 3000, and people still have VHS tapes and floppy disks. Because like, the world at the time only had barely a hint of of the digital tech around today, just 24 years later. So even when the people working on the futuristic sci-fi show were coming up with wacky nonsense, they also used what they were familiar with. Which was VHS tapes and floppy disks. There is some kind of irony in there, and maybe also a weird metaphor too, because I'm nostalgic for a show about a fictional future which also contained many retro references to media that came before it, and as I watched the show over the years, I saw it slowly include more and more "modern" facts of the real future, that was actually the present

everyone always talks about rick's hand stims but did you notice the way he was stimming vocally in pickle rick. the little noises he was making b/c he couldn't tap his fingers against his hip like he usually would. because he was a pickle.
I just find something so cute about this scene- First we have Rick being genuinely happy, then he stopped smiling when Morty got hurt, and I just find something so cute about them eating together, like look at themmm! Look at my boys! I love them sm! Morty also calls Rick "Grandpa" not too long after this scene!
one of the reasons i love bethic twinstinct so much is that you can literally describe the events that happen in it without mentioning any of the science fiction aspects and it still works like..
beth falls in love with a *woman,
(*this woman is her clone)
rick bemoans being *stuck at home,
(*his interdimensional portal gun is out of fluid)
morty and summer distract themselves with *video games,
(*hyperrealistic video games on an alien console)
and jerry puts up some *emotional defenses to process this new development
Is you morticia oc storage ricks morty or just work for him at the daycare?
I also want to say how much i love your work! It brings me so much joy
Thanks for taking an interest! Storage Morty (D-0770) was left at the daycare for a long time. Storage Rick let her live there until he got tired of it and told her to start helping out. Her Rick never came back, so Storage ended up taking her in as his own Morty. Also, her original reality isn't genderswapped - everything is the same, except for the fact that Morty happens to be a girl :)
I thought it would be funny to have a dynamic where Morticia is his friend, granddaughter, coworker, and sidekick all at the same time
