The Knights

Hey peeps!

Here are my designs for Carmine Esclados & Bertilak Celadon!

Ever since I saw Carmine’s official design I’ve wanted to redo it, because her original design is a crime against humanity and it’s one of the worst things I’ve ever seen

So I redid Carmine using her description in the book, and figured I’d do Bertilak, too, since the poor guy got literally nothing after the book was published

I really wanted to lean into both of their allusions to the Red Knights & the Green Knight respectively, so I gave them (specifically Carmine) a bunch of different armor pieces, and now they kinda match with their silver colors, albeit Bertilak’s is rusted

I also wanted to highlight them being described as total opposites outfit-wise, since Bertilak is described to not even look like a Huntsman because of his outfit, whereas Carmine is clocked as a Huntress with one glance from Coco

Anygay, that’s them <3

I guess I’ll do Team SSSNN next, but that’ll be after I finish reading Before the Dawn lol

Hey peeps!

I was bored one day , so I decided to dig into my iPad for challenges I screenshotted, and found MagicalPouch’s 100 Faces Meme!

So I asked my Instagram for faces & characters and voila! Here we are <3

I tried to limit these drawings to about an hour, and it was pretty fun to just make some quick expressions without needing to worry about poses or backgrounds. I also think I learned that looser, quicker drawings can still look good! And, as a perfectionist, that’s something I could always need

So yeah!

Team CFVY - Vacuo Designs Redux

Hey peeps!

Look! I did a thing!! Holy shit!

I finished reading After the Fall a while ago, but I wanted to update my CFVY redesigns because I decided that the original piece looked wonky and I had literally no idea what I was doing

So we’re back now with some updated Huntsmen & Huntresses-in training, this time with accurate heights and some fun design adjustments

It may just be that I spent almost 30 hours on this project, but I’m so genuinely proud of how each of these turned out. I don’t have any favorites design, and I think that’s a good thing

Next up I plan on making a redesign of Carmine and an actual design for Bertilak, so stay tuned for that :P

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about my “DND OCs” story, huh?

I’ve actually been reworking it so that the story makes actual sense, and there’s a lot of things that have MASSIVELY changed. As of right now, the Valoris Royal Family dynamic is pretty much unchanged, but that may change in the future. I still wanna be a bit hesitant about the lore I reveal, because I don’t know what I plan to keep or scrap.

Actually answering your question, though: Vyncent’s dumb, but not that dumb. I mean, Marigold is the spitting image of Callan, and Zyia never acted the same after she was born. As for Callan, he quit the Royal Guard the minute Vyncent returned to the castle, and he too was never the same after the ordeal.

Even when Vyncent got a full grasp of what happened when he was gone, the expression on Callan’s face when he had resigned said all it needed to. What he had to go through those couple months was already more than enough in terms of punishment.

Their art is gorgeous and the dtiys piece is no different! Just look at it!! Stunning!

Plus, it’s my favorite emotionally deficient babygirl, so of course I had to draw her <3

I really loved the teal on the Jellyfish design, so I chose to make the setting darker than normal so I could make the teal really pop out against the purple/indigo of the ocean, and I think it looks really cool! It also meant that I could give her fun lighting, and we all know I can’t refuse that

Cringetober Day 2 - Self Insert

So… Cringetober… haha… well…?

LOOK I HAD A BUSY OCTOBER! SUE ME, OKAY?!

Anyhoo, I’m back and actually wanna finish some of the prompts I already started, resuming with Day 2! Self Insert

As some of you might be able to tell, this is me in RWBY! I’ve actually made a full Team of me and my IRL friends in the show, since I have a problem <3

And here is my landing strategy!

I basically have these dual dust-infused cutlasses called “Pearlescent Slash” and I’m activating some Wind Dust so I can redirect it towards the ground and give me a softer landing. My poor knees D:

Biohazard

Hey peeps!

Sorry for the inactivity - I’ve been speedrunning an art portfolio so I can actually apply to college lol

This was one of my pieces!

If anyone remembers my “Super Heroines” story, then you’re probably familiar with Biohazard! One of the villains. Her powers are control over and resistance to toxic substances :P

As you can see, her design has changed quite a bit since when I last drew her, but I personally think it’s for the better. I think her new outfit (despite being extremely impractical) really displays her personality and overconfidence when it comes to Villainy

Besides, it looks cooler anyway lmao

Cringetober Day 1 - Heterochromia

Hey peeps!

Cringetober! I’m doing it! Or at least I’ll try to!

Anyway, for Day 1 I decided to draw Floyd Leech from Twisted Wonderland! My friend is absolutely obsessed with him, and I wanted to try my hand at making my own design for this loser. I really love it when artists really make a character their own, like, design wise? Like changing a few things but still keeping the character recognizable. It’s very very yummy, and I just want to pull a Kirby and absorb peoples art when they do that <3

So I tried changing a few things with Floyd in order to practice this! I had a lot of fun adding little scars on him, because like… be honest. This maniac would fight sharks and shit at age 10 and would get absolutely wrecked lmao. He also definitely forgets to take his daily “be a human” potion so his gills and eel markings show up all the time

(Me and my friend headcanon that the eyebrow scar is when he ran into a rock, and he decided to them fight a shark out of anger, getting the ear chunk taken out. The lip scar is when he bit down too hard on something with his sharp teefs lol)

I’m gonna be honest, I did yoink the vitiligo idea from @hijinkiewinkies because their designs for the TWST cast are so gorgeous and giving the Tweels matching vitiligo is the absolute biggest of big brain design ideas. Please look at them! You will not be disappointed!!

Anyhoo, I’ll (hopefully) be drawing more throughout the month :>
