Here’s my #spongesona (aka my very own original Spongebob character). Her name is Shelly Finn and these are her parents Bill and Susan Finn.

Shelly and her family were forced to move out of their hometown because the coral reef that it was made of died due to pollution, forcing the citizens to evacuate. For this reason, Shelly is an activist and not only studies but brings light to the pollution going on in the ocean.

Bill, her father is a survivor of finning (an act where humans take a shark and cut off its back fin for culinary reasons, leaving it to die) and has to use a cane until Sandy, one of Shelly’s new friends, builds her father a prosthetic fin to wear.

She gets hired as a waitress and cook at the Chum Bucket (because sharks eat Chum) and the sharks that had to evacuate town become new customers to Planktons restaurant, causing it to actually become in the same league as the Krusty Krab.

Although she works for Plankton, she does not partake in his schemes and often avoids them altogether because of her friendship with SpongeBob.
