this is an ask game that I answered a long while ago completely unprompted, just to explore my f/o's characters and personalities. I've done one for all of them except bruno and optimus, which are my most recent ones so HERE I GO, DOING ONE FOR OPTIMUS

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

I think Optimus would be very hesitant showing affection, especially around other people. There's a time and a place for it, and he's just so busy being a leader that he worries showing affection to a single person would cause disruptions. He'd be more likely to show affection via words than physical touch, mostly because 1. cybertronians mostly don't show affection that way (personal hc), and also because he Lorge and he knows it T.T he doesn't want to potentially hurt his tiny human

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

I think a lot of his friends don't even realize they're his friends bc he's just so private about it. That doesn't mean he doesn't care of course, he cares A LOT. he just feels he doesn't need to state it unless said friend is feeling sad for whatever reason. Then he will not hesitate to say he cares <3

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Conventional cuddling is out of the question, simply because he's too big. he will however carry me around on his hand, or on his shoulder if he wants to get around quicker. What I think about a lot is him laying down, with me nestled around his clavicle/neck/jaw area, or on his chest, gently cupping me in his hand... uwu *sighs dreamily*

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

this one got me akjshdkdjfh. all I can imagine is him wearing an apron and cooking in the kitchen and the image is absolutely bonkers and also hilarious LMAO it makes me giggle so much

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

With a lot of regrets and sadness. He knows it's for the greater good but it still upsets him a lot. he's tired of losing people he cares about.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

marriage is a foreign concept to him, and as such he would never suggest it first. But if it makes his partner happy, he would be more than willing.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

SO gentle. Big robot such gentle,, so soft with wormds and metal handsss

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He cannot hug, unfortunately but he DOES love it when I try my best to hug him. feet, fingers, wrist, face, nothing is safe from ME AHAHAHAHAH

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

It would be a while. Several months, if not years (probably years). He doesn't want to rush in headfirst; he makes sure he truly feels that way before saying anything. Mostly likely the relationship would be well underway before he says it. When he confesses his feelings, he says "I care very deeply for you" or something ambiguous like that lol

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Optimus would not get jealous, periodt. He is a very loyal person and would expect his partner to be the same. He would only get upset if his partner was deliberately being unfaithful, and even then he would rationally talk it out to solve the issue.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Alas, he has no lips with which to kiss. He does allow human kisses (even though they tickle a little bit) and sometimes he'll bump his mouth against me in a makeshift human kiss when he's feeling particularly upbeat and playful. I headcanon that the cybertronian version of kissing is gently touching foreheads, and he will absolutely do that with me, even though i so smol 🥺

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He has no idea how to act around them KSJHDKJHF he just treats them like they're mini adults. He's SO awkward and it's hilarious

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings are very busy for him, so he won't have much free time. If he does have the time, he loves going on long drives while the sun is still rising. The roads are empty and the cities have yet to wake up; Optimus loves the peace and quiet.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

....I gotta admit, I'm drawing a blank for this one jsdhfkdh

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Not for a loooong while. *slaps robot* this bad boy can fit so much trauma in it. He doesn't want to burden anyone with his troubles, even though he should definitely talk about it more often. He might reveal tidbits here and there if it was brought up, but he'd never totally dump it on someone. Any info on what he generally likes or dislikes he will never mention. That will have to be discovered organically.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

This guy has the patience of a saint. It takes A LOT to get him angry. Cruelty would be the quickest way, but even then he tries not to show it. It would take something of a massive calibre to make him completely lose his cool.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He'd definitely remember everything. he jsut cares so much man

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The most important moment to him would probably be something mundane, like watching the sun set, or having a simple conversation. It's the little moments he appreciates the most, where his partner is happy and content. It makes him happy too.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

When does this man NOT protect? That isn't to say he's super overbearing (because he's not, Optimus knows exactly when to back off and how much), it's just that he's aware of how much power he has and it's the right thing to do. If his human partner tried to protect him, he would be extremely flattered but depending on the situation, feel that it's not really necessary.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

If things like anniversaries and dates meant a lot to his partner, he'd do his best to create a special moment for them. He might not always have the time since he's so busy, but he would acknowledge the occasion and promise to plan something when he's free.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

I think one would be a tendency to self-sabotage, or otherwise bring himself down. poor guy doesn't have a very high opinion of himself. He'd try not to let it ruin the relationship, but sometimes he needs to be reminded that he's worthy of love. Another would be his sacrificial nature. He gives so much of himself to his partner that he runs himself into the ground. He spends so much time giving that he never thinks to take every now and then.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not at all lmao. He does appreciate a bath every now and then, but who doesn't????

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

With time, I think he would.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Sometimes if I ask pretty please, and he's in an indulging mood, Optimus will tell me stories in his native language. He doesn't do it often since it reminds him of life on Cybertron and he also doesn't understand why I like it when he speaks it, but he does it anyway even though we're both fully aware I don't understand a word.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Cruelty. Also just generally being rude, mean, condescending, and/or people with a propensity for meaningless violence. If it's directed towards himself he can handle it with maturity, but he absolutely despises when those traits are directed at others. He is very good at hiding his dislike however. When he starts showing it, you KNOW he's Beyond Pissed

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

The day/night cycle on Cybertron is longer than earth's, so having to adhere to a human schedule is hard on him. Optimus basically has intergalactic jet lag. He uses weekends to catch up on the sleep he missed out on during the week before. He doesn't think he'll ever get used to it, but he feels it's a necessary sacrifice.

thinking about f/os who are like 20x your size treating you so gently. with minimal effort they could squash you flat or grind you into dust. but they would absolutely never do a thing to hurt you. maybe it took them some time to train and learn to treat you gently, as they'd never had any kind of relationship or contact with someone so much smaller than them. they see you as so precious and want to treat you accordingly, and you want to learn how to give them affection.

you stop seeing them as intimidating or scary... instead, you begin to see them as your protector. they could defend you from any threat this planet (or any others that you and your f/o may live in) might throw your way. your f/o is very proud of this, and wouldn't hesitate to keep you safe with their superior abilities. maybe they were once the threat you faced... but not anymore. it all changes when they fall in love with you, and now they couldn't imagine threatening or hurting you.

now, your normal includes sitting securely in their huge hand that cradles you. kissing anywhere you can get to on their face that's as tall as your entire body (if not taller!). sitting on their shoulder, solidifying your place as their closest companion. their humongous hand reaches to touch your face, and only their fingertip can touch you. but that smallest touch is full of overwhelming love that it's just enough for you
