Random thoughts #1
I came across a status on social media few days ago. In that post the author tried to convey the message "The more you know, everything becomes more grey rather than black or white". I surprisingly noticed how my thinking are turning grey day by day. For example, people are mad over an animated show ending where the protagonist isn't "God like" or pure "Angel". But to me its totally fine. Its all about perspective. People don't like a show when its too close to reality. People like to imagine a hero comes and save all. Same goes for following a cult. Followers cant tolerate criticism about their views or their leader. They try to give generalized statement against their opponent. So my point is not to follow anything anyone so blindly, try to investigate and understand others before giving any statement.

Chapter 5: Three eyed Raven
There was nothing in that basement except some old broken furniture. Sayan and Prof. Carter both tried their best to untie the knot but failed. While trying sayan fell off with the chair. He tried to get up. Suddenly he noticed some broken piece of glasses in the corner of that room. He tried his best to slide and took a piece of glass using his teeth. Though his lower lip was bleeding, he successfully passed it to Carter. Finally Prof. Carter abled to free himself and Sayan.
This basement was just underneath that small house of Yusuf. They went back to that house and search for Amara and Yusuf. But there was no trace of a single human being. “We need to file a case.” Said Prof Carter.
After finishing all legal procedure in the local police station, Carter and Sayan walked out. They realized they have not eat since yesterday. “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse. But right now I am craving for Doner Kebab” said Sayan. “I am not into kebabs, I would rather go for fish & chips” Carter replied. They started looking for restaurant. Suddenly Prof. Carter stopped, “What’s wrong Professor?” asked Sayan. “My sixth sense is telling me someone is following us!” Sayan searched around and found nothing suspicious. “Whatever! Let’s focus on our mission.” said Carter and they started moving forward.
But they did not noticed a raven staring at them by sitting on a cornice of a nearby house. It was not an ordinary raven, as it had a piece of the ‘mysterious’ crystal at the upper middle portion between eyes.

Chapter 4: Knotted
“Then we must go to Egypt” said Prof. Carter. Emily sighed saying “You will never change! Henry. But I suggest not to get yourselves in such trouble. It’s dangerous out there.”
Before leaving Emily gave them a visiting card of a person named ‘Abu Yusuf’ who was a co-worker of Emily back in Egypt.
After 8 hours of journey Sayan and Prof. Carter landed on Cairo. They took rest for 2 hours, then left hotel and went directly to Yusuf’s office. “Mr. Yusuf went on an early retirement due to his health condition 3 years ago. Both of his legs are paralyzed.” Said one of his colleague. Then they went to Yusuf’s house. There they met his wife and asked about Yusuf. She replied that he left this house since they got divorced 3 years ago and she does not exactly know where he lives now.
Next they searched randomly for Yusuf depending on some ambiguous piece of information. They were asking an old vendor by showing Yusuf’s visiting card. Suddenly they heard a voice from behind “I can take you to Yusuf.” They looked back and saw a tall Afro-Egyptian girl behind them. “My name is Amara, I’m Yusuf’s foster daughter. Come with me.” Soon they started following her. She took them into a living room of a small apartment and went inside. After a while she came back with two glasses of lemonade in a tray saying “Father is sleeping, so sit down and have some lemonade”. Both of them finished the lemonade too quickly as it was so hot out there. Soon Prof. Carter fell asleep. Sayan stood up and tried to wake him up. But suddenly he started feeling dizzy. There was something in their drink. The last thing Sayan saw is Amara’s smiling face.Next morning Sayan and Prof. Carter discovered themselves in a basement without any natural lighting. All of their belongings were gone. Both of their hands were knotted with a rope sitting on chair.

Chapter 3: The vessel
While leaving Jonas’s relatives house Sayan asked Prof. Carter “Professor, what should we do now”? Prof. Carter did not answered his question. After a while he replied “I just remember of one of my old friends, I think she can help us”. “Where does she live?” asked Sayan. “Not far from here” Prof. Carter replied.
After 2 hours of driving they arrived at Prof. Carter old friend‘s house. They got off the car and started walking into a narrow pathway through an abandon garden. While walking Carter began to recall his memories. “Her name is Emily Granger, back in our time we used to call her ‘Moving encyclopedia’ said Prof. Carter. “This garden used to be Granger’s family garden. Now she is the only remaining member of her family.”
Soon they saw an old mansion. After pressing the bell, a woman opened the door. “Oh my goodness, Henry”!!! She hugged him and welcomed them into her house. After having tea Emily brought them into her library. Sayan’s jaw dropped with wonder, he whispered to himself, “Whoa, That’s huge.” He never saw a personal library so enormous before. The height of the ceiling is almost 35-40 feet and nothing to say about the collection.
In the end of their regular conversation Prof. Carter asked if she knew the war suit and Jonas. She told that she doesn’t know much because when this incident occurred, she was not in England. Then Carter told Sayan to show her the scroll. Emily did not seemed surprised by the glowing ink, rather she was trying to feel the texture of it. “Jesus, it feels same as the vessel we found back in Egypt, Feels like touching the skin of a living thing.” Sayan stretched his hand and touched the scroll, it was feeling warm!!!
Then Emily brought a scrapbook and show them a photograph of a vessel. “We found it in a Cascade, in which we usually find Mummies. It’s around 4 feet in height. Also we failed to detect any carbon absorption in radiocarbon dating.” Said Emily.

Chapter 2: The Suit
Since Sayan found about the scroll, he did not shared it with anyone yet. The next day he decided to show that to Prof. Carter. Sayan was anxious about the Professor will believe him or not. Because the respective human settlement on which they are working is so primitive: they were just evolved from hunting to cultivation. It’s quite impossible for them to create some spiritual set up with such craftsmanship. Any way he approached to Professors chamber and showed the scroll to him. Carter became quite for a while and Sayan’s anxiety was in rise. Then Prof. Carter replied: “I have seen the similar type of glowing crystal in a medieval war suit in a Museum in England.” “Let’s head back to England”. Sayan smirked, because Prof. Carter is infamous for making instant decisions.
So they postponed the excavation in Mexico and flew back to England. In the museum they found that war suit; Sayan was mesmerized by the beauty of those crystals. There was also a sword made of crystal. But sadly there was no significant information about the suit. Prof. Carter decided to contact the researcher who was working on it. They had to toil too hard, but Prof. Carter is too stubborn to give up. Finally they found the researchers identity, a young Archaeologist Jonas Davis. “Jonas passed away six month after he found this suit” informed one of his relative. He also mentioned the war suit as a “cursed” one.

Chapter 1: The Crystal Cave
"It’s a sweltering day in Mexico, excavation is getting impossible" said Professor Carter. The students happily agree with him. Meanwhile Sayan noticed something unusual. Sayan Ahmed is a 24 years old British-Bangladeshi student. He is working as a research assistant with Professor Henry Carter, a renowned archaeologist. Currently they are working in a research on the trace of an earliest settlement, which dated back to 300000 B.C. Today after noon Sayan found a scroll made of an unknown texture. He was so confused about how everyone would react so hide the scroll into his backpack. After getting back into the room sayan unrolled the whole scroll. It was actually a map. He suddenly noticed an illustration of a crystal cave. It was not a primitive cave painting. It’s a detailed illustration of an interior of a cave. The whole illustration was done with something like a thin lid of a brush or fountain pen. The chunks of crystal were colored with a glowing ink like radium. The most shocking part is there is a pedestal with stair that leads to a stage. On the stage there are three oval shaped crystal with smooth surface though the chunks scattered in the cave are rugged.

Vampires and our obsession towards Anti-Aging
Sometimes I used to be very infatuated with a particular topic ( for an example- reading some books and articles about world war II for a week). Last month my one of my cousins asked me to suggest her some movies about vampires.I am really impatient about watching movies, though I loved watching animated ones.So we searched on netflix and start watching an animated show named “castlevania”. That show represented the dark age as well as the early-mid christian period where there was a conflict between some corrupted christian priest and some magicians. But the main antagonist was the count Dracula who was an ageless vampire lived on blood also a mass murderer. they also portrayed him as a philosopher and a scientist. I have heard the name of count Dracula many times, It is actually a novel by Bram Stoker, published in 1897. The classic story was about a person named Jonathan Harker went to Transylvania on a business purpose and met Dracula the count of Transylvania.Later Jonathan found out he was actually a vampire and escaped the castle. He formed a group with a doctor named Van Hellsing  and defeated the Dracula. The character  dracula has become a legend and appeared in too many movies and series, also in animated movies for kids like “Hotel Transylvania”. The classic story has also gotten a netflix adaption. Dracula also appeared in Japanese anime named Hellsing as a character named “Alucard”. They actually continued the classic story line in a different pathway. They showed Harker and van Hellsing did not killed Dracula, they captured and enslaved him by dint of magic and science. They founded an organization named Hellsing corporation and used Dracula aka Alucard to destroy other vampires and for also defeating Neo Nazi. That show was average but there was a scene where Alucard referred aging as beautiful.
Now back in reality is there really any person named Dracula?yes there was really a count Dracula, his was better known as Vlad the Impaler. He was known for his cruelity, but that was not related to blood sucking immortality or agelessness. Than how the author related the two characters? I do not know the true motive of the impaler, but the netflix adapted dracula showed he just wanted to stay young and enjoy a long life! Also there is a myth about bloody marry who used to take blood bath with blood of young girls.Though the real story was quite different. These all myths and fictions actually reflects our thoughts and obsession towards anti-aging. People use millions to look younger. I appreciate living a healthy lifestyle, eating healthy food which may prevent diseases and early aging. But spending over anti aging creams, bullying people for looking older, comparing with celebrities, being insecure is hilarious. Not a single person can escape death. We should appreciate a person who lived a life, grew old, have wrinkles. Being old is beautiful!

Ancient Mystery
In 2005 when I was nine or ten years old, there grew my interest in Ancient Egyptian civilization by watching the movie series, “the mummy”. The plot of this horror movie was about a  group of explorer whose greedy and foolish decision results awakening 3000 years old mummy king .That mummy king was like a zombie flesh eater which also helped him too gain human form. Some how at the end of the movie the protagonist manged to kill the ancient evil king. I enjoyed that movie as a child though if I watch them in 2021 I am sure I will literally wince, whatever in 2008/2009 when I was in middle school, my father used to watch History channel, TLC a lot. In history channel there was a show named ancient aliens. there some theorists (more likely Conspiracy theorist) claimed pyramids in Egypt were constructed by Aliens. They also showed some ancient artworks or hieroglifics those prove the existance of aliens (taller head and larger eyes) those came down into the earth in 3000 Bc gave all the knowledge and technologies of them . Even as a teenager I did not believe them.Later I read in some blogs that egyptian royal families had incestuous marriges among them, which resulted giving birth to child with abnormalities. I also read about queen Cleopetra,Nefartiti, king Tutenkhamen and different gods and goddess- anubis, osiris, sphinx in various articles. In 2014 after getting myself admitted in architecture, I learned about the basic structure of a pyramid, there are different chambers for the members of royal family. Its such a huge grave. The scale of the pyramid also inspired architects and helped to  introduced monumentalism in architecture. there are enough evidence to prove that the ancient egyptians were developed only in architecture but also in other sectors. they used to wear leather sandals, also practiced braces like dentistry. However there is a biggest question,”what the ancient egyptian looked like”? there is a big argument in social media between european and africans about the complexion of ancient egyptians.
we really know a little about this ancient mystery, hope archealogist and scientist can find all the answers!
