Niallloverontheloose and racist sterek fandom exposed
okay I went to their blog and found a whole lot more than I expected. These first 2 were at the very beginning and from not even a month ago: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/693488215409164288/jesus-christ-who-cares-if-you-were-there-at-the
https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/693490072074534912/these-anons-are-idiotic-newsflash-fandom-isnt
They said this on January 8, 2021 which was the day that Biden was inaugurated and Trump was getting called to be impeached again and the FBI started arresting the Jan 6 rioters: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/639777985116995584/i-will-not-comply
And, as if that was not enough, they have a convenient ā€œpoliticsā€ tag which is quite shocking: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/tagged/politics Just on the first page of that tag you will find pro Matt Gaetz posts, calling the January 6th investigations a waste of money, celebrating the overturning of Roe v Wade, and anti mask rhetoric (calling masks scams?).
Now this is the page I found really interesting and disturbing: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/tagged/politics/page/2 If you scroll to the 4th post on the page they talk about how a year ago yesterday they could have been arrested but werenā€™t. If you click on the post you can see that this was posted on January 6, 2022. Exactly a year after the capitol riots: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/672640548403888128/a-year-ago-today-i-could-have-been-arrested-but-i
But theres more. On the same page, if you go down more, (posts 6 - 10 from the top) are about the white supremacist and murderer, Kyle Rittenhouse. Two of their posts say #FreeKyle and then cheering when he was ā€œfound not guiltyā€ and then finally another post where they talk about how kyle, the white supremacist and killer, should sue (and just look at the date: nov 19, 2021, the day the judge handed out the sentencing) : https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/668306490934935552
It didnā€™t take much time at all to find this and I have never followed or interacted with them and vice versa so I find it hard to believe that the sterek fans who did interact with this person somehow missed it. Iā€™m angry and disgusted but not at all surprised that the sterek fandom chose to ignore it. They would rather keep the peace with racists and white supremacists in their fandom than cause a stir (but of course Iā€™m sure they have no problem starting riots if an anti says their problematic ship is creepy).
And since I know people will ask how its known that sterek fans were interacting with this person and it not just being one sided, I know because I can see on their page that they are actually very popular in the fandom for being an anti scott and anti tyler posey page. And people love to send in their hateful and racist confessions to them to be posted. But since we all know by now that the sterek fandom does not care about racism, hereā€™s something else I found.
A lot of their anti Tyler posts consist of them comparing him to Dylan (and praising Dylan in the process)but ,apparently, they hate Dylan too: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/693484565366456320/dylan-obrien-would-hate-you
And then they were asked why they post so much about him they said this: https://niallloverontheloose.tumblr.com/post/693485743625142272/you-claim-to-hate-dylan-obrien-because-of-his . Keep in mind, they never have anything bad to say about him and appear to be a fan even though they claimed to ā€œhate himā€ but for Tyler they, along with their followers, have all the time in the world to make hateful post after post, a lot of which are also extremely racist. But clearly neither they nor fandom care about that.
White fans always have the privilege and audacity to ignore racism and disgusting behavior in their fandom and gaslight and harass poc who call it out, but maybe since they also admitted to hating the white guy, this time the fandom will actually care enough to say something.

the teen wolf fandom constantly berates the writers for their poor treatment of poc (and rightly so) but then go on to sideline the main character, a moc, in favour of the white best friend? the amount of abusive and hateful comments on here - mainly from dob stans and sterek shippers - is absolutely FOUL. if you donā€™t want to support or watch the movie that is completely fine but there is absolutely NO reason to send hateful messages.
youā€™re all fully supportive of sex work until itā€™s tyler. youā€™re all fully supportive of unlabelled sexualities until itā€™s tyler. youā€™re all fully supportive of leading pocā€™s until itā€™s tyler. all because he said one time that the fandomā€™s favourite ship is ā€˜twistedā€™. which it is, by the way. derek was in his 20s and stiles was 16 when they first met.
i wonā€™t be replying if anyone chooses to argue with me on this post, i donā€™t have the energy for such nasty hateful people. but honestly take a step back and look at how hypocritical and cruel your comments are. i, for one, canā€™t wait for this movie. iā€™m excited to see characters i held so dearly come back, even if it wonā€™t be the movie of the year. itā€™s a bit of fun for those who loved the show. but you know what iā€™d do if i hated the idea? iā€™d keep it to myself and not try to rally the antis on tumblr like some pathetic reincarnation of the 2016 drama. stop hating and focus your energy on what you love instead.

i just got to know about this ....oh my god, not only these people enabled creeps fetishizing a pedo ship, but threw posey under the bus too? has hoechlin or dob ever acknowledged the crazy amount of hate posey gets because they didn't stop continuously enabling his haters? ... my god i am shocked i am seeing this, hearing this for the first time.
the age thing wasn't even the only problem about that ship... it was literally everything else. i could literally give a long long list of all reasons why that ship is problematic.
i am still really new to this fandom, so can some one tell me if tyler H or dob OR anyone else from the cast or crew ever came forward to talk about the hate tyler posey got, or how problematic that ship is?

Racism in the Teen Wolf Fandom
[This post originally tagged several people I was directly addressing, as I was expecting it to mostly be reblogged by them and their followers, with maybe a small handful of people I asked to take a look at this post even bothering to read this behemoth, let alone share it. However, a lot more people than I expected paid attention to and shared this post, including a blog that dedicates itself to highlighting racism in fandom. In the interests of preventing ā€œraidingā€/dogpiling behavior against the people I addressed this post to, I have removed their handles.]
tl;dr - I donā€™t actually believe any of you are racists, no more than I am, than we all are by virtue of being raised in a white-centric culture, internalizing the attitudes expressed by our media and community, and carrying those attitudes with us into fandom. But that is all the more reason we need to address bigotry in our communities, no matter how passive or benign or minor, because that is the only way to engender change in this fandom, in fandom in general, and in ourselves. I take issue with your guysā€™ posts and meta not because I think everyone should worship Scott - hey, heā€™s not my #1 fave either - or because I think he is perfect (no one is, perfect characters are boring). I take issue with the fact a lot of your logic, meta, and analyses rely on the same racist arguments that permeate mainstream media. I object to the casual dismissal of canonical events, and the way headcanons and assumptions are treated as canon when analyzing the show (especially when they are overwhelmingly skewed a certain direction). And I object to the fact every attempt by myself and many, many others to point all of this out is often met with little more than dismissing everything with the vague claim that weā€™re ā€œtoo sensitiveā€ and ā€œsee racism everywhereā€ and ā€œare only using buzzwordsā€. I donā€™t think any of you are racists, but I think all of you have utilized or enabled racist rhetoric when talking about Scott (and several other characters, but primarily Scott, for reasons I explain down below).
Iā€™m temporarily disabling anon - either one of you, or one of your followers, constantly fills my inbox with misogynistic slurs every time I speak up against bigotry in fandom, and I just do not have the time to IP block each one. I just got this lovely one just yesterday:
Tumblr media
(I and everyone else who talk about racism in Teen Wolf fandom are accused of ā€œusing buzzwordsā€, while Iā€™m getting anons who accuse me of misogyny while calling me a cunt. Yay irony.)
If you want to yell at me, do it under your own name. And yes, out of all the people circle-jerking on the original post, I blocked the one who used name-calling now, and has demonstrated some remarkably immature behavior in the past. If bhadpodcast is going to act and post like I blocked them, I might as well actually block them and save myself the headache. They can still relay messages to me through one of you. The rest of you have demonstrated yourself to be open-minded and willing to listen to logical arguments in the past (or I donā€™t know you well enough to assume that youā€™ll ignore my words and skip straight to the name-calling) which is why Iā€™ve tagged you.
This is a rodeo Iā€™ve ridden before, and while I can always hope for change, the reality is that I have already expressed all of this in meta before, and that Iā€™ve spoken to most of you directly about all of this. Iā€™m familiar with the arguments you make, and Iā€™m tired. So itā€™s going to take pretty much all of my self-control to do this, but no matter what you reblog, I am not going to respond. Iā€™m not going to get caught up in the tactics of deflection and distraction, Iā€™m not going to let you draw me into petty arguments on isolated comments and use that as an excuse to ignore the overwhelming majority of this post, and Iā€™m not interested in rehashing arguments Iā€™ve already had a dozen times over with almost all of you at one point or another.
If you actually read this entire thing and have an honest rebuttal to something I stated below, and its something that is based in the canonical source material, is not contradicted by other canonical source material, and is not contingent on a headcanon, my Messenger is open. Otherwise, itā€™s been good talking to you, and Iā€™m sure weā€™ll be talking about all of this again, soon enough. But I am stating my piece and peacing out, because I need to save up my energy for the next time this wank comes around - and given the way fandom has shown itself to act in the past (and the fact racism has been around far, far longer than television, letalone fandom), that is not an ā€˜ifā€™, but a ā€˜whenā€™.
Below the cut:
1.) Yes, Scott is a character of color, I donā€™t care what country youā€™re in.
2.) The fact that most of the racism in Teen Wolf fandom comes in microaggressions does not make it less racist.
3.) Actors and characters are held to tremendously disparate double standards and this is a huge problem, probably the biggest one.
4.) Racism of Teen Wolf fandom is highly reflective of racism offline/in the ā€œreal worldā€.

Calm Down, Please
I wish people wouldn't jump to conclusions that Derek having a 15-year-old white son means that Braeden and he are broken up. It doesn't tell us much about the time frame either. It doesn't say anything about the writing either.
Alternatives other than Derek and Braeden are broken up:
1. Eli is Kate's child. (Ugh, but possible.)
2. Derek had sex with a woman during the six years between the Hale Fire and the beginning of Season 1.
3. Derek and Braeden adopted a child.
Considering that I don't think they're going to have Scott be in his early thirties, #2 is most likely the correct answer.
Jumping to conclusions is being pretty overly dramatic.

First, you have to take into account that anyone can write anything they want, and many people write for many different reasons, thereā€™s no way you could figure out what they all are and their motivation for writing a particular fic or using a particular tag. There are crossovers, AUs, fics where werewolves donā€™t exist. People are allowed to watch 8 episodes of something and write a fic with their own ideas for characters. And someone saying a character deserves nice things does not in any way mean they never got nice things. And maybe some of them mean ā€˜more nice thingsā€™ instead of ā€˜differentā€™ nice things. Who knows. Certainly not me or you.
An issue with your statement ā€œAnd you realize that 998 of those 1000 stories were published after September 8, 2014, which is when Season 4 ended. Apparently the tag should read "Derek Hale Deserves Different Nice Things."ā€ is that you donā€™t know when writers watched the show. You donā€™t know how much of the show they watched. You donā€™t know if theyā€™ve even seen the show.
Your post just reads like you got butthurt and pulled out the soapbox because you donā€™t like that other people have different thoughts and opinions than you, or donā€™t like that someone has the audacity to write something you donā€™t like or approve of.
This question refers to this previous post.
I love how you start off with "you can't possibly know people's motivations for writing" and end with the diagnosis of my motivations, knowing that I'm "butt-hurt." I guess you can possibly know people's motivations for writing.
First, I don't have to take anything into account; it's my blog. But I will, just for you. Nothing I said was incorrect. The thing about statistics is that I don't need to analyze every single individual to talk about trends. In those 1000 stories there may have been individuals who satisfy the numerous criteria you listed but how likely do you think it is that all 1000 authors only watched three episodes?
What isn't arguable and isn't a matter of perspective is that 99.8 percent of stories on AO3 with the tag Derek Hale Deserves Nice Things were published after Season 4 ended. No matter how many reasons you speculate for this, it doesn't change that fact, and it doesn't change the idea that Derek left the show with a new girlfriend, new powers, his money, and a close relationship with Scott McCall.
Are you trying to tell me that everyone who only saw three episodes or only read fanfiction waited until the end of Season 4 to publish? Does that make any type of sense?
And for your information of the now 1012 stories with the Derek Hale Deserves Nice Things Tags, 23 of them are crossovers, 321 of them are 'alternate universes', and only 4 of them are stories where werewolves don't exist. You see, instead of speculating, I investigate.
But here's the thing you miss -- all those people who only watched eight or three or no episodes, which episodes did they all watch to determine what Derek does or not deserve? The ones where he beats teenagers, betrays them, or tries to kill them in order to get what he wants? Or did they only read fanfiction and produce more fanfiction with the same premises, like a snake eating its own tail?
I don't need to divine intent when I can talk about impact. I don't need to interrogate every individual writer who came to the conclusion that the manipulative and brutal white millionaire werewolf stalker who tried to kill multiple teenagers and got multiple teenagers killed and received nice things in canon didn't get enough nice things.
I can can draw conclusions with evidence to support me -- statistics, the incredible amount of racially-motivated Scott hate, and the very fact that 919 of those 1000 stories are Sterek -- that a fundamental aspect of those stories is transforming Teen Wolf fandom from actually being fans of the show to an enterprise prioritizing white secondary characters.
It doesn't how many episodes the authors watched or didn't watch if the end result is part of a focused effort to erase a character of color in order to promote a white character that should have been considered lucky to escape jail time. It's still racism.

Can you psychopaths leave Tyler Posey alone please?Ā  Just because he accurately said a ship between a child and an adult man where all their screen time is them hating each other is bizarre and twisted (and rightfully so).Ā  You already bullied him after his mom died I think thatā€™s far enough.Ā  Besides all your faves are still friends with him so stay mad.

@hamtobin since you seem to have chosen to block me from messaging you, Tyler joked ONCE about being queer (and even back then I said it sounded like he was told to walk it back same way Colton Haynes and plenty of others had to previously). I would love for you to show me the other times he has which you should be able to since you seem to follow his every move more than I do or ever have.
He called your stupid pedophile ship out for being just that and you freaks havenā€™t let it go since. Yes, it is a pedophilic relationship. Stop wanting grown men to fuck teenagers. Other than that Iā€™ve seen no other times Tyler has been homophobic or mocked queer people but judging by your delusion and your sentence structure, @hamtobin, are you the asshole anon running around tormenting people?
As far as cheating, look at that, another area where youā€™re running your mouth but donā€™t actually know what youā€™re talking about. Technically he was cheated on but thereā€™s been nothing to say heā€™s ever cheated. Also, Tyler isnā€™t white so youā€™re batting at a zero average.
Anyways, youā€™re pathetic and more than that you have got to be emotionally stunted to still be one, this weirdly obsessed with a fictional relationship and two, this weirdly upset at a real life person for not liking that fictional relationship. Get a hobby, get a job, get a therapist, hell maybe even get in touch with Christ. Just do something else instead of whatever youā€™re doing now.

neither dylan o'brien nor arden cho are in the teen wolf movie. paramount desperately wanted dylan and threw a blank check at him, but dylan still refused to even appear in jeff and posey's tw movie. they offered a deal to arden, but she turned it down, and based on her recent tweets, she's ready to spill the tea and destroy jeff/posey's joke of a movie. anyway, the movie is gonna flop so bad without them in it. that's a fact. the only way for the teen wolf movie not to flop is make thiam canon
while i agree with you that the establishment of thiam would be great in the movie, i don't think it's fair to shit on the movie, or to pin any displeasures on posey. he doesn't deserve any hate for being passionate about a project he loves. and as much as i'd love for arden to return, i respect that she's been away from teen wolf for so long and that she was mistreated by jeff. if she doesn't return, i applaud her for standing her ground despite how much she loves kira. as for dylan, i can't say that i personally will miss him too much. of course, he was amazing as stiles, but he's not my fav or anything. however, i know he is a fan favourite and that a lot of people will miss him, but there's no need to discredit the movie in his absence before a trailer's even come out. i would think arden and dylan are humble enough to not look at this movie as a joke (because it's not) and i'm glad that the both of them have other projects to be working on.
and anon, i think you're setting yourself up to hate the movie before it comes out. it's not my place to tell you what to do, but if it really irks you so much already, maybe disengage from it?? stop investing so much energy into this and ruining the fun for the rest of us. yes, it would be great for arden and o'brien to be in it, but even if they aren't, i'm just grateful to be getting teen wolf back.

3/3 If people don't want to watch the Teen Wolf movie because they don't care about Scott, Posey or Jeff and because Stiles, Derek and Kira aren't in it then let them. If you want to watch and support Jeff and Posey's movie then go ahead and do it; but you can't force people to give a shit about it, nor should you attack them for refusing to watch something that they think it's not worth watching or are not interested in.
jfc anon. go touch some damn grass. no one is forcing you to watch the movie and nobody cares that you arenā€™t going to watch it. what we do care about is the negativity you spread like a fucking plague. weā€™re not coming at you for wanting to suck oā€™brienā€™s dick, weā€™re just sick of people like you dismissing the talent of other passionate people.
