An update...
School is about to start even for us, 11th grades here in Germany. Homeschooling has been a challenge. I've learned so much about myself in the last two months, I even think I've become a slightly different person in a good way. Quarantine was a blessing in terms of personal growth and development for all of us, I think so. Everything starts to become somehow normal again, which is basically very refreshing after all.
Also, summer is around the corner. Flowers blossom and it becomes warm again. I can almost feel the nights summer air and it's sweet smell. But you know what is the most outrageous thing in the world? In one and a half months, I'm gonna finish my normal school and in three months, I'm gonna start working on my A-level-exams, which means that I'm gonna be all done with school in about two years. I am about to realize that all, but yeah, that's incredible... Just wanted to admit that.
Stay true to yourself and your dreams, people. Sometimes, this is all you gonna have.

I'm going to work again...
After some time to reset and to find myself again I'm going back to work. There are still some tasks to complete and also, when I go to school again, I don't want to feel like I'm behind. I still want my brain to function properly, so now I'm working on my condition again. There are some goals I would like to achieve...
Getting up early. When school starts, I want to get up at 6am and not at 6.30/6.40. This would give me time to prepare for the day and make my life more positive and less stressed.
Eating breakfast. Now that I'm staying at home, I eat a yummy and filling breakfast everyday, but during school time I don't have time (because I sleep in, unfortunately). Breakfast is just my favorite part of the day.
Drinking hot lemon water. I heard this is healthy and fills you with energy, so I'll try it.
Going to bed early. Sleep is really important, if you want to wake up early. We all know that 7-8 hours sleep per day are crucial for your health, both mental and physical.
Planning my day. I know, if I plan my day, there is no way to procrastinate.
Eating healthy. What you eat is sooo important, because your brain needs the right energy to complete all the tasks you want. Often, my meals are nutritious and healthy, but my snacks are far away from that. Now I have the chance to fix that.
Reading more books. I am definitely a reader, but I have phases when I'm reading every book in no time and I have phases when I don't want to pick up a book. What I want is consistency to read more books.
Staying (and getting in touch again) with friends. I'm definitely not one of the people that texts a lot, but during quarantine, I've kind of lost the connection a little bit. Still, friends are really important.
Being more calm and positive. I don't know, if I really have to explain this one. This is just the only way you can thrive.
Sooo, this was just a little update, kind of. I hope, I could inspire some of you, if you lack motivation. It's just too hard to find it when there's nothing going on in life.

Covid-19
Sooo, first of all, I'm not a fan of this whole panic situation happening in the world now. But I do think that it's more important than ever to follow the hygiene rules and to just stay in, when required. I mean schools, public places, government institutions, borders etc. don't close out of laziness or something. It's not a vacation and it makes me sick when some people still go out and visit crowded places. I get the point when people say they aren't in danger even if they catch this virus. But what about the people YOU could infect? These may be some teenagers... But these also may be old people, sick people, babys and all the other people in the world who's immune system isn't strong enough. YOU may not even feel the virus, but YOU could cause deaths, in some way. It's not really your fault, if you infect yourself and other people, because you can't control the virus. But you have the responsibility for your actions. If you want to go out, great. But please take into consideration that you are responsible for how fast the infections will increase. The western health system is good, but it has it's limits. And we should try to avoid every single death possible at any cost AS A COMMUNITY. So, please stay IN, don't play with the risk.

Schools closed in Germany too and actually, I wasn't prepared for that at all. And I'm a little bit lost like many of us in terms of how to complete the school work. Our teachers will send us tasks soon, so we'll get through the materials at least a little bit. That's why I'm super glad I've found this post 😅

hello!! as an online college student, i’ve been lucky enough to already have some experience with online schooling, so i’m here to offer all my advice for the students of quarantined schools! due to the covid-19 outbreak, it’s been very difficult for many who’ve had to switch to online school. however, there are many way to make it simpler and faster, and i’m here to give my best tips!!
firstly, make a list. whether you’re more comfortable with a physical to-do list or a virtual calendar to schedule things out (i’ve used google calendar almost my whole life but i just got the app elisi and it’s beautiful, minimalist, and easy to use! available on pretty much every device). planning out your work is the most efficient way to get it done.
don’t try to do everything at once. while it’s best to get things done soon, space out your work efficiently so you don’t feel overwhelmed!
create a simple, comfortable study space. it doesn’t have to be a perfectly organized desk or gorgeous setup at the kitchen table; i do all of my college work from my bed with a comfy throw blanket and fairy lights up. the most important thing is that you are in the right position to do work, you are comfortable, and that you are able to keep everything you need close to you.
work in chunks. to best knock out your work, take it an hour at a time with 10 to 15 minute breaks in between. make some tea, get a snack, stay energized.
drink lots of water. you are not immune to the coronavirus. it’s also easier to stay energized and focused when you’re hydrated.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR INSTRUCTORS. at first i was very timid to communicate back and forth with my professors when something was wrong but i have learned that it is the most important thing to have good communication. if you don’t understand a concept, have trouble with the online system, or just need general help in your academics, sending them an email is the best way to solve the problem.
reward yourself!! once you’ve finished an assignment, give yourself a little treat (maybe a half hour of minecraft or your favorite snack to munch on!!)–it’s the best way to encourage your mind to work harder.
don’t work too late. you’re off from school. unless it’s the night of the due date, don’t push yourself until it’s done. the morning is just a sleep away.
these are some good playlists for background music.
another important tip! communicate with your classmates in case you don’t understand something. everybody learns differently and some pick up info different than others.
make fancy notes!! get fancy with your stationery!! you have plenty of time now and can go bonkers with your beautiful notes.
continue to check your temperature and monitor symptoms. your school has closed for a reason. your safety and health are important.
retain a relatively normal sleep schedule, similar to the one you have when you normally go to school. slipping out of your regular sleep cycle can and will kick your ass when it’s time to go back.
lastly, eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. take a nap when you’re tired. remember to go to the bathroom and keep your water filled. take care of yourself.
if i think of anything else to add, i will!! just wanted to bring forth my advice in hopes that it benefits anybody who is at home b/c of quarantine or school cancellation :)

I am so sorry...
I've been working so hard currently. I just didn't find the time to post and I don't know where all of these tasks came from.
I am just a student, but I have sooo much to do. School work overwhelmes me sometimes. And there is also my life going on. I would easily manage just one of these parts, but together they challenge me. Sooo I've been really productive and had just a little free time, actually...
But let's talk about work load at school...
I think that most people don't even see, how much time a student has to invest in school and how much impact it has on the mental health. Of course it all depends on which type of student you want to be. If you want get As and B+s straight, studying is crucial. And I don't see that as a problem. I want to be that type of student and it won't be different later when I'm at university. My problem with that is, that you have to do lots of pointless work for subjects you won't even HAVE next year in your finals (I live in Germany, so we have a different school system). I get the point that first of all, you learn to learn at school, but I would rather focus on the subjects that are important for me and my life and on the development of my personality. And I would love to declutter my life mentally too, which is hard to do, if your unnecessary school work drives you crazy every day and stops you from reaching your goals. I don't think the worst of school, but I do think that there is so much to improve in our system. I wonder, if teachers know how much we have to handle in our lifes. And we'll, we're also teens. We still develop, we still grow, figure things out... It's one thing if an adult decides to study, but another thing if adults just throw an insane amount of school work on you. For me, it's no wonder so many teens suffer from mental problems nowadays... They don't have the time AND energy to deal with them. As a young adult, I get the mess done, slowly... But still, it all gets heavy sometimes and I don't get to the point when I can deal with my own mess... That's kinda life, but it's also frustrating somehow.
Sooo, if you feel just like me than: Hey, you're not alone. It's normal sadly, but there are always ways to unwind. For me, it felt soooo revealing to just post again.

I really like to prepare cheat-sheets...
They sum up all the important information in one place and plus, you revise all your materials. Basically, writing cheat-sheets makes your brain work by engaging different areas, so you'll remember everything you've wrote down. A big con is that it is so time consuming, but this technique brought from a B-C student to an A-B student. Do I recommend it? Definitely...

After reading "Pride and Prejudice", I really want to read some more of Jane Austen's books. Chances are good, I won't understand everything as this one is in English, but I guess I'll get the best impression of her writing style and not just the plot.
