Hi! I’m planning on signing up as a writer for the Big Bang, but I don’t have an A03 yet, I just requested an invite and it says it won’t come until after the deadline for writer sign ups has passed. What do you suggest I do ?

If you want to reach out to us off anon—Tumblr DM or ask, message a mod on Discord, shoot us an email—we can hook you up with an invite code. I can't speak for all the mods, but at least a few of us, myself included, still have unused direct invite codes.

While things have gotten off to a little bit of a later start this year due to Life Happening. We are underway and, among other preparations, have welcomed a new mod to our team. I'll let them introduce themself:

Hello! I’m Jeems, 27, any pronouns, @jamesjamesonfitzjames on Tumblr, jamesjamesonfitzjames/MillicentArcher on ao3. I got into the fandom for Big Bang last year and had such an amazing time, I wanted to make sure I was involved this year. I signed on to help mod Bingo and have been working in the background there. There are two main points to this year's survey in addition to general feedback:

We are again looking for new mods. Life changes mean that our current mods are busier than ever and we'd love to have more hands on deck to help things run smoothly.

We have had minimal response to our beta sign-ups for the past few years, so we want to know what you, the participants and friends of the event, would like to see when it comes to author support.

Blinking a totally normal amount: Are you guys running this again in 2024?

We hope so! Though we have not convened to discuss things yet. Life has been very busy for all of us, which is why the closing/feedback survey for the 2023 event hasn't gone out yet.

That said, I've let the rest of the mod team know that there is continued interest and we do hope to get the feedback survey out before the end of the month.

Are you accidentally reblogging posts on the wrong account?

While Tumblr has definitely made it easier to do that recently, it doesn't look like we've reblogged anything since the event ended. So if one of our mods did accidentally reblog something it's already been removed.

The TLDR of things on Tumblr's side is that, previously, when you reblogged to a side blog, your main blog was still defaulted to as the main posting option. This is no longer the case. If you do anything on a sideblog now, even just edit the settings, Tumblr sets it as the main blog to reblog to and you have to change it back to your main blog manually.

This makes it much easier to accidentally reblog things to side blogs, and The Terror Big Bang's tumblr is a side blog with multiple admins.

I decided to participate in @theterrorbigbang 2023 and I had a blast! I love the show and Goodsir has always been my favorite character out of all the cold bois. The fanfic I had picked out was amazing too. “The Endless Loop of Time” by @still_lycoris is an incredible fanfic and I recommend reading it as soon as possible. Her writing,characterization, and plot are incredibly engrossing.

Hi, this is still_lycoris on A03. My fic is due to go live tomorrow (and is posted and ready) but due to a slight issue, I can't access my E-mail to see where my artist has posted their art and link it I should be able to fix this after Monday 28th 16:00 London England Time but right now, there isn't anything I can do. If you want to delay my fic going live until then, that could work - or we could make them both live and I link to it once I am home. Terribly sorry about this!
