The Town Whispers is a narrative horror podcast that delves into the all consuming existance of a small town in Canada called The Fort. The Fort is where Eldritch Terror meets Folk Horror.
Update week 5: guess who did more work instead of taking the week off 😅 Dont worry i didn't do too much, just took notes on my first 2 episode recordings so I know what to redo when I start rerecords! Anyway, The Town Whispers recommendation incoming!
We're back to horror y'all and the town whispers is some of my favorite horror around! Its dark and enticing and full of turns that i never expected. That being said, its a heavier show than the others I've recced please keep that in mind if you give it a listen. When I say this is one of my favorite podcasts at the moment, though, I fully mean it. I practically inhaled it in December and season 2 has been absolutely stellar so far, I can't wait to see where it goes ESPECIALLY since I didn't see where season 1 was going until it happened
YOU'LL LIKE THE TOWN WHISPERS IF:
-you like small towns
-you don't trust your shadow
-you want to hear some INCREDIBLE voice acting
-you don't always want a happy ending
-you like intrigue and mystery mixed with your horror
-you want to hear terrifying yet beautiful narration
Thats all for this week! As I continue on boarding for my new job I'll probably be sticking to listening to my recordings and taking notes, hopefully will be back to recording in the next couple weeks!

You no longer have skin or flesh or nerves in the same way you no longer breathe. You need to let go of having hands.

[Description: Birds rising over a moorland landscape. The caption reads, “But there have to be limits, don’t there? There have to be limits to the cruelties we inflict.”]
Chapter 19 of The Silt Verses has arrived - and as Carpenter makes her pilgrimage home to the White Gull River, her journey takes an unexpected turn…
The ep is out on all good podcasting platforms and you can find the transcript right here.
Forgot to post this. So I jokingly made a "talk to me about my blorbos" meme and posted it on a few discord servers. A lovely person over on Invictus actually asked me about them so I gave them a list to choose from. They made this delightful wheel and spun it XD Interviewer ended up winning but I thought the wheel of blorbos was hilarious.

For it's many years, The Fort, has had many monsters. Some of them men, or women - others clothed in fur, and others made of nothing but air, and a whisper, that sends all those who strain their ears to hear it, nose first in a sea of madness.
Without knowing our past, we may never discern, with clear eyes, our present or future - so today I ask you to come with me, back into the past, before Peggy, before Reverend Albit, back to the early days of The Fort, when it was nothing but crooked shops, and crooked people living in a pocket of ramshackle civilization.
