ramble about their history, the kind of person they are, alignments, go nuts, show the character some love, dump important information/general bio here: korkie kryze lived a charmed existence. born into privilege , from a young age , he was molded to be a leader & follow in his aunt satine’s footsteps as a duke of mandalore. when he got accepted ( as though there was any doubt ) into the royal academy of government , there seemed to be no stopping his destiny. from a young age , korkie showed signs of exceptional intuition and empathy , surprising friends and foes alike with the ways in which he always seemed to know. a feeling , he called it. a feeling which grew in him as he himself grew. in his mid-teens , this feeling came ahead when he and his friends ended up in the middle of a conspiracy , tracking prime minister almec’s relationship to the black market & food shortages. it had been more than a suspicion that led him to the truth. and it wouldn’t be the last time.
insights grew , tapping into something huge and looming that terrified him. the once carefree young man , eager to take on responsibility , grew afraid of what he was becoming. when korkie was fourteen , he began to have recurring dreams. images he couldn’t understand. past and future intertwining. a prison cell. a symbol. flashes of faces , snapshots of memories that were not his own. and while he could decipher so little , there was one truth he was left with: his aunt was not who she claimed to be. satine kryze , dutchess of mandalore , was his mother.
and if these new revelations were not enough , something evil was beginning to creep beneath the surface of mandalore. korkie could sense a dangerous shift coming. death watch. at first , he thought he was being paranoid , on edge by whatever was going on inside of him. but as time went on , it became clear: the corruption had spread. like a plague , it infected every branch of their government , sowing the seeds of destruction to the peace they’d once fought so hard for.
but even korkie’s intuition could not prepare him for the arrest of satine. and despite his best efforts to save her , she was executed. and he imprisoned. suddenly , the future that had once seemed so bright , was gone. war and violence ravaged his home and he was useless to stop it. a boy trained in diplomacy , not war. a boy imprisoned with only the guilt of failing his mother aunt and planet weighing on his shoulders.
once imprisoned , korkie began to focus on the feelings he had long suppressed. while of course he had heard of the jedi ( even meeting a handful ) , the notion of the force was foreign. little more than story. but the longer korkie was locked up , the more he began to realize that this feeling , sense , intuition , was more than he had ever thought it to be. it made sense , really. and if he closed his eyes , concentrated , and reached out , he realized he could sense far beyond himself. the universe opened up before him. in some ways , prison was a gift. time to understand. train his mind. but that didn’t stop him from using his newfound abilities to break out on the anniversary of his mother’s murder , and a couple months after his other aunt’s succession.
a fugitive , korkie crept through the shadows of what had once been his home – now a playground for the newly founded empire. how quickly had they forgotten their pacifist ways , swayed by violent occupation and the promise of power. but mandalore was his home , and he was one of the few of his noble house left. so he stayed , trying to connect with old allies and establish a resistance movement.
as the years wore on , it became harder and harder to find allies on world. and korkie became disillusioned at the idea of mandalore ever being free. he began to isolate himself , becoming withdrawn. even going so far as to change his name and do his best to disconnect from everyone. even the force , seemed to only echo his despair. according to the galaxy , korkie kryze was gone. dead or missing or maybe he'd never existed to begin with. he was not his mother , he was not his aunt. he was a young man , lost and alone.
that didn't stop him from joining the rebellion when the call came , still not using his real name , still unwilling to let himself hope. but if he could make the empire hurt , then he'd do whatever it took. even his own life.

the daughter of the hammer of ryloth , hera felt the weight of that legacy. but after her mother's death by imperial hands , and her father's emotional distance , she knew her fight was not on her home planet. it was time to take to the skies and find a sense of peace in flying for the rebellion that she could never find at home.
dedicated to her mission and her ever growing family of a crew , hera tows the line of rebel leader. she hates to stay in one place for long , her heart always soaring among the stars , but she will do whatever it takes to help the rebel cause. even if it means denying her heart or putting herself in danger. as long as she has her family , her spectres , she'll be okay.

Born years after the fallen jedi exar kun’s death, malak was one of the hundreds of quelli children displaced by the mandalorian neo-crusader’s burning of quelli. He fled to the republic where he was found by the jedi as force sensitive and inducted into their order as an initiate. He showed great promise. A charismatic young man with a magnetic pull and likability that had fellow padawans and knights flocking to him. Though, there was only one person who he ever felt a deep connection and kinship to: the prodigal knight themself, the future Darth Revan.
As the Mandalorians crept closer from the Outer Rim, they too grew closer. Malak’s pain and trauma at the loss of his family and home spurring his friend into heretical and revolutionary ideals against the oncoming threat. Though the Jedi Council of the time forbade involvement from Knights and Masters, this did not stop the two exceptionally charming Knights from creating a movement. Together, they formed the Revanchists. With Malak’s best friend as the lead Revanchist.
They went to war against the Mandalorians. First as guerilla fighters before the Republic finally stepped in and granted them a fraction of their military as Jedi Medics, but what they really were, were generals. Malak led as the Revanchist’s right hand. Loved by his troops and fellow Jedi for his brash and headstrong ways. Always at the front. Always ahead to lead his men into victory.
But victory has a cost.
War is a hungry beast with a yawning gullet that consumes all. Even the brightest of lights cannot escape its grasp. As the war stretched on, sacrifices were made. Costs were made despite their high prices, and the biggest one was Malak’s morality. No one knows when the Revanchists fell. If it was during the war, dragged down to the darkest pits by their brutal adversaries who spared no one, or was it at Malachor V? Where the Jedi Exile finished their war once and for all.
All is known that once Mandalore the Ultimate fell by Revan’s lightsaber, the Republic’s victors returned as conquerors. Now Dark Jedi who proclaimed themselves as Sith, and Revan and Malak as their lords. But as is the way of the Sith, there was strife. Lost in the spiral of the dark side, Malak and Revan began to fight. Their spats epic and grand in proportion with both of their tempers rising to the point of physicality. One remarkable occasion cost Malak his jaw.
It is here where the timeline diverges. In another life, Malak would stew in his hatred for his former best friend, now Sith Master, for this maiming. In another life, Malak would betray Revan in an act of cowardice that would cost them the war. In another life, he would die by the hands of an amnesiac, redeemed, Jedi Revan. Alone and forgotten by the one person he loved most in his life. But here, in the cruel arms of fate, he would have a moment of clarity. Where he looked in the sickly, yellow eyes of his friend with his jaw gorged from his face and knew fear. He fled from their flagship. Taking a nondescript fighter starship in a blind panic into the far reaches of space and crashing into a small farm 3000 years into the future.

han solo is literally the epitome of ‘idk, it just kinda happened.’ or that shrugging emoji. he gets himself into situations that typically aren’t safest, but deep inside, he likes to do it for the thrill. the more action he does, the more energy he gains. improvisation? also a strong suit. whatever is thrown at him, he’ll read and come up with the not-so-perfect solution in a matter of seconds. as long as it works.
when he accepted the quest to transfer luke, obi-wan, threepio and artoo from tattooine to alderaan, he initially only agreed to do it to pay off a debt. instead, he accidentally comes out a hero. he also had a change of heart. from the outside, it may seem as if he doesn’t take it as a big deal. though in reality, he’s happy to finally find a purpose.
i’m also pretty sure that if taylor swift existed in the galaxy, han would 100% be a swiftie.

A human male, Caleb Dume was born in 33 BBY, during the waning years of the Galactic Republic. As he was integrated into the Jedi Order at a very young age,[9] he would never know his parents,[16] for he went straight from his homeworld to the Jedi Temple[17] on Coruscant, where he would be raised as a Jedi.[1]
One day away from the Initiate Trials, Dume was in a practice duel with Uzuma and Quid under Yoda's instructions, when he tripped and hit his head against the floor, injuring himself in the process. The Grand Master then told him to go to the infirmary: by the time he reached it he was no longer bleeding, and the 2-1B-series medical droid told him to leave as the cut would heal on its own. It was then Dume saw Depa Billaba when she was recovering in a bacta tank and felt a connection with her. Just as he left, Billaba awoke.[19]
The next day, he underwent the trials and passed, much like Uzuma and Quid. He also attended a class by Madame Jocasta Nu on how Padawans were chosen by Jedi Knights, and Dume asked about how it came to be, much to Mace Windu's disapproval and Billaba's amusement.[19] On another occasion he attended a lecture by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Jedi Temple's central security station learning about the Jedi recall signal, during which he inadvertently gave Kenobi the idea to use the beacon to warn Jedi away.[9] Later on, Billaba herself would instruct them on Form III.[19]
After the lesson, Dume was hoping Billaba would choose him, so he checked if she had a Padawan (she didn't) and asked his two peers what they thought about it; Quid told him that word had it she was "damaged goods" after her disastrous defeat[19] on Haruun Kal.[20] As he didn't know what to think, Dume went to Billaba and asked about what had happened to her, and she saw his choice as not political, but wise.[19] Before they could finish the conversation, Dume and Billaba then heard an intruder at the Temple, Rackham Sear, a Captain of Confederacy of Independent Systems who was setting bombs off at the Temple.[19] Dume was then saved by Billaba from the initial explosion. They then hid, for Billaba wanted more information about the situation, but despite her hesitation, Dume followed the attacker to the roof and attempted to stop him.[21]
Sear then subdued Dume and tried to kill him, but Billaba intervened and saved him. She also destroyed the timer with Sear's own bombs, prompting Sear to attack her in an escape attempt. However, when Sear saw that they would not let go of him, he committed suicide. Avoiding the explosion, Billaba then asked Dume to become her apprentice.[21] Before the end of the Clone Wars,[1] Dume became Billaba's Padawan and was taken by her to get a kyber crystal for his new lightsaber. Soon enough, Dume accompanied Billaba on her duty to lead the Grand Army of the Republic as General.
and u all have seen TBB so you know what happens. from here, caleb took the name kanan jarrus in an attempt to disguise himself from the inquisitors hunting him.
from here, he becomes a smuggler with a taste for imported alcohol. it all changed when he met hera, and learned about the rebellion brewing. he joined the crew and became the unintended leader. he’s the rest is history. also it’s worth noting he still has his sight. for now.

okay so leia never really wanted all of the responsibility of being a princess and an imperial senator, but she innately knew that she was destined for more. even from a young age she understood that there was *something* about her, about the rebellion, about her untrained connection to the force that made her yearn for more, yearn for something bigger.
unfortunately that greatness came with a heavy price, and on a botched mission to deliver the death star plans, she was caught by darth vader and forced to watch the empire destroy her home planet of alderaan, effectively watching everything and everyone she had ever known and loved. now she was determined to take down the empire to avenge her parents, her friends, and all of her loved ones.
she successfully delivered the plans to obi-wan kenobi, and by chance, luke skywalker. the destruction of the death star offered a little comfort in knowing that no other planet could be eviscerated like her own, but still the guilt and shame loomed over her head.

• cal was born on the planet corellia and when he was eventually found by the jedi masters he was proudly given to the care of the council since his parents found it a high honor their child would one day become a jedi as well. he grew up as most younglings do and was noted to have strong skills with a lightsaber and rarely struggled with training, but he was ill-suited to deal with adversary after faced with any kind of failure. so when he graduated to become a padawan he was paired up with jaro tapal to address this concern the council noticed.
after a successful mission they were on their way to mygeeto to deal with a pressing matter but were ambushed by the enemy. in order to protect his padawan from death he instructed him to flee and stay safe, and although he didn't want to abandon his master, cal had very little choice in the matter. he snuck through the ship by using the maintenance panels while his master sabotaged the reactor of the ship, which ensured the destruction of the vessel. inside of the escape pod it was headed back to coruscant but the blast threw the trajectory off and forced him back to bracca. narrowly escaping the ruins of the escape pod, cal couldn't quite remember everything that happened to him except for the fact that he had this great hurt in his heart. he was found by the scrapper's guild and from there he was taken in and immediately put to work.
eventually he was able to reconnect with the force and recalled what had happened and how he wound up on bracca. when he got back in contact with the council he informed them of his master's demise and was taken back to coruscant where he was reassigned a new jedi master to continue his training. cal always had a strong work ethic and a sense of humility even when he was working with the scrapper's guild, though he does have a bit of survivor's guilt for abandoning his master even at his request.

nothing is known about finn’s life prior to being abducted by the first order and being conditioned and trained to become a stormtrooper. originally, fn-2187 with batch eight until later down the line he was switched to the fn corps. as a stormtrooper, he was highly trained and skilled, his potential being recognized by superior officers such as captain phasma. but, there was always something missing -- he lacked the typical ruthlessness that tended to be known for the soldiers underneath captain phasma.
during the mission on jakku, where everyone else followed and executed the orders whenever they came to kill the civilians, fn-2187 hesitated. despite all of the conditioning and brainwashing that had been done to him ever since he had been a child, something inside of him was breaking free and telling him that this was wrong. choosing not to kill innocents, he went back to the finalizer, stressed and confused about everything that just happened. when he was ordered to submit his blaster for inspection to ensure he’d fired shots at the innocent villagers, fn-2187 knew he couldn’t stay with the first order after his faith had been shaken in the organization. so, he made a choice and broke the resistance pilot, poe dameron, free and together the two of them escaped back to jakku where he accepted a new name of finn.
crashing onto the planet, and thinking poe was dead, finn went off until he eventually ran into rey and bb-8 who recognized the jacket he was wearing as poe’s. rather than come clean about being a stormtrooper, he lied about being a member of the resistance and stated he could get bb-8 back to them. after an escape from the planet on the millennium falcon, and running into han solo and Chewbacca, his fear was strong as ever concerning the first order, and finn made the decision to leave before anything else happened.
unfortunately, the first order attacked their location after being tipped off, with rey being kidnapped, and finn knew he needed to join with the resistance to save rey and destroy starkiller base before they could destroy the resistance base. joining the mission, finn fought against kylo ren until his back was sliced up rather severely by the knight of ren’s lightsaber, and he fell unconscious.
rescued by rey and chewbacca, finn was taken to safety where he was given time to heal. now, awake and in a completely different timeline than the one he’d been in before, he’s more confused than ever. all he knows is that the resistance is where he belongs, and something inside of him has awoken.
HEADCANONS:
finn is force sensitive!!!! now this isn’t really a headcanon since it was confirmed, but i do headcanon that finn was aware of something after the events of the force awakens and kept quiet about them because he was nervous about the force. given that he saw what could come with the dark side, he’s very hesitant to touch the force or give in to it.
he really wants to learn everything there is to learn in the resistance. piloting, specifically, since he had very little experience on that level.
finn is a very affectionate person. given he was never allowed that back in the first order, having the freedom to be touchy feely now is everything, and people can usually find him being very affectionate.
