I miss your posts! Whoever you are, I hope life is treating you well, despite the last few years being really shitty.
Hello! Thank you so much for sending this it really made my day! I’m sorry to everyone who follows this page for disappearing, I’ve been struggling with some pretty severe depression for awhile so it’s been a bit hard for me to do most things. I’ve really been wanting to get back into posting here, so I will try and give myself a push and see what I can do!
I hope you’re doing amazing and that life is treating you as well as it can be ❤️

How would you describe the relationship the Phoenix has with Jean and Rachel and who is the "better" Phoenix (host) in your opinion?
I think they both have similar yet very different relationships with the Phoenix. I think Jean was made to be the Phoenix when she initially emerged from the water, but after the Dark Phoenix saga and bringing Jean back from the dead they seemed to constantly struggle writing her with the Phoenix. I think there was always a power struggle between the two that most writers never seemed to want to get past. I’ve always found this frustrating as originally I believed that Jean and Phoenix were one in the same and I actually had hopes a few times (mainly during AvX and upon her eventual return which ended up being Phoenix Resurrection) that they would bring her back as one with Phoenix after she collected all the pieces in the White Hot Room but then they brought her back in a story that really seemed kind of non eventful and boring in my opinion and she left the Phoenix, which I do believe was the best decision.
Rachel on the other hand I think has always had a much better relationship with the Phoenix. She seemed like she had pretty good control over it and it actually felt like it was a part of her. It didn’t seem like there was a power struggle between the two and they seemed to act as one. I would have loved for Jean to have this development with the Phoenix, but I’m also sad that Rachel was stripped of the Phoenix as well. If anything I would have loved for Rachel to become the new “host” of the Phoenix Force instead of what happened in the Avengers comics (which I’m not saying won’t turn out to be good, as long as they write it well I think it could be great,) but Rachel is definitely deserving of it.
