Before the end of episode five of X-Men ‘97, Madeline becomes absolutely horrified at what she’s seeing on TV about Genosha being destroyed and millions of mutants killed (Gambit included).

Fortunately, Logan is there to make sure she’s safe and to ease her worries the best that he can.

(and yes, she wears a new outfit for the interviews with the local news station).

(This will now lead to Scott physically/verbally abusing her for no reason along with a series of nightmares and panic attacks).

So, it was mentioned by Jubilee in the new episode of ‘97 that Cyclops has control issues and I’ve had this little head cannon for a while that Cyke is prone to go ballistic over every little thing (especially since the whole Professor death/Magneto being the new leader/Jean clone/Loosing Nate thing) and he takes it out on the team.

Unfortunately, one said outburst of his causes him to loose his temper on his sister, Madeline (my OC), slap her hard in the face, and say some things he really doesn’t mean about her being a disgrace and how being her brother is his life’s biggest mistake and junk.

Of course, he regrets it afterwards, but that such said outburst causes Maddie to be absolutely terrified of her big brother and the person he’s become.
