there is something so darkly comical about tumblr potentially outliving twitter
tumblr, which is held together with duct tape and madness, run by three raccoons in blood stained Yahoo! hats and a handful of crabs, its only discernible source of income the sale of shoelaces from an inside joke so inside no one knows the original source anymore and fake blue checkmarks... that website still lives on
truly the cockroach of social media and I love it for that
I know a man didn’t just tell me that “we’re halfway through and we’ve already had three women screaming and wailing through childbirth, is getting annoying” about the childbirth scenes in HOTD. Because, no… Bro. You don’t get it. You’re not a woman or a person capable of giving birth. You won’t EVER understand it.
You won’t understand why Daemon refusing to carve his wife up, giving her the respect and dignity she deserves as a human and as his wife is so important. You won’t ever understand why the sheer joy in Rhaenyra’s face after giving birth to a wanted, loved and healthy baby is so important.
“ This movie really reaffirmed why Wanda is one of my favorite MCU characters. She’s not necessarily a hero, but more of a redeemable villain. She can do bad things without realizing it, but will not hesitate to do the right thing when she sees that her actions are causing harm. Of course, in this case, she was corrupted by the Darkhold, but she was still willing to sacrifice herself so no one else would be corrupted by its power. She was a monster in this movie, but still not beyond redemption.”
