Hi! You mentioned in your recent post how private AJ is compared to Punk. I've noticed how, whenever Punk's asked about AJ, especially during a very emotional moments (after his UFC debut/when he was injured) he always takes a very long pause. I know it's mainly to compose himself, but I like to think he's also carefully planning what he's going to say, in order to respect her wishes and not reveal too much about their most intimate moments.

(Also, do you have any footage from when AJ was on Renee's podcast and said how she was really guarded while Punk goes around showing complete strangers his medical results?)

I’m so glad you said this because after I posted that video I’ve been thinking 🙇🏽‍♀️.

Ok so aj says in the video she’s was so proud of him and they kind of stepped off to the side after the fight to have a moment to themselves. Then when punk was asked in the conference all he says is that she was proud of him. But after going backstage and she just has this genuine huge smile and is saying all of these kind things, and she’s not like pitying him or acting awkward, but she’s just genuinely proud and happy for him. I wonder if that pause was like him kind of keeping what she said between them, feeling like he let her down( he said this in another interview) , or just being like ugh I love her and this sucks , but she makes it feel like everything’s going to be ok.

Then the same thing when he got injured at the rumble. He was already emotional, but when they asked about her, a tear literally fell out of his eye 😭. However when he finishes saying all of the comforting words she said to him, he has composed himself and seems a bit more hopeful.
