That last series I worked on

I was an animator on Rock Paper Scissors and it's been airing on Nickelodeon recently. We had 2 teams, later 3, plus there was some overlap, so I worked on about half of the episodes. On some of the other shows I've done, animation was split between 2 studios, though with Care Bears I believe it was a case of our studio temporarily hiring an overseas studio as a 3rd team until they had enough people to be an in-house 3rd team.

When you finally find a freelance 2d character animation job but you have to test in a program you've never used before that costs over $500 with no free trial options...I guess I'll keep looking. I did update my Youtube avatar though from Tails with glasses in a box to Knuckles with a hat in a circle. I was listening to "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" of all things and I felt inspired to storyboard...not about THAT though. Sometimes a song is just a vibe and the meaning to me doesn't matter.

Sank statues are such a mood. I have one of the cheaper ones from a couple years ago, a kid with a spike through the chest, and one of the blind boxes, but the older age statues with the serious head wing situations are my favorites. Too expensive for my taste though. I did preorder the Go Outside action figure with the street scene a few months ago and almost forgot I did. It'll be something for me to look forward to this October, not as thought-provoking or expensive as a resin statue but perhaps more enjoyable since I like to pose things.

Drawing christmasy holly elves on Mother's Day cause I was at work finishing quota this morning which meant I got distracted and started doodling again. My off and on interest in vintage Strawberry Shortcake and bishonen collided and I've been doodling it more often recently. Any excuse to put rosy cheeks on people.

So there are new Sonic Lego sets coming and I NEED one with Tails in it. I can live without modern Amy and Eggman. I'm a classic Eggman purist. Plus the Tornado set has a Sonic with a winky face and I NEED that too!

I also saw the SMB movie the other night between working. I mean I had to. Not bad and full of references, and I'm glad my boy Luigi got to participate in the boss battle. I've almost always favored Luigi over Mario. I'm also the younger of 2 siblings and was always stuck as player 2 when we played games together and just came to identify with him more, plus he's got more personality quirks.

I guess Spring has sprung, time to take the winter Lego sets away from my work desk and mail stuff to my sister because I'll probably never build it again. McDonalds Bowser can stay though. Edward also lives on the other side of my workstation but I wanted at least one shot of him in the snow. The question is what to put in it's place. I really kinda want to finally make that Kirby Green Greens diorama.
