The wait is finally over! After almost two and a half years in development with more than 2.800 images and 180 script files edited, you can now experience the first ever, modern and completely overhauled user interface for Sims 2 across all expansion packs! Please note that because of this, you need every expansion pack and possible also Mansion & Garden stuff.

You can find many more images in the flickr gallery.

Features: - completely overhauled user interface - various fixes and removed flaws - removed deprecated buttons or ones that corrupt the game (delete family…) - popular CC included to avoid incompatibility (Chris Hatch widescreen mods…) - three new startup loading screens - optional (new) Sims (and pets) in the menus - cursors (inspired) from Sims 4

Oh gosh, @criquette-was-here thanks so much for noticing this and coming up with so easy a tutorial! I expected the fix to be simple but won’t lie, had no idea what was going on where to start. Seeing by the notes this post has, I guess it was a good thing I took a bullet for everyone by posting a pitiful shot of my helplessness. Please recommend me neighbourhoods and templates! I am tired of the ones I have and they’re either not spawning hood flora or doing so with those shore plant thingies I hate and alas my laptop tends to crash because of the heat before I can remove plenty of those ...

hey i was just wondering...i've seen a lot of MM, but are there people who play a more realistic game? i mean, except for you and maybe a couple of others, i haven't seen many...

Oh, there’s definitely still a lot of semi-realistic players out there. :) Since I’m  assuming you’re asking for recs I’m going to compile a list.

(Note: the community doesn’t necessarily agree on what exactly constitutes a ‘semi-realistic’ style, but for the sake of my list I’m going to assume it’s players who play cc-heavy, with pooklet’s textures/colors for hair and skinblends that are shiny/detailed). I’m concentrating more on active bloggers though there are going to be some inactive ones too, in case you’d like to check them out.

hi there! sorry if you've answered this before but i was just wondering what road replacement you use.

I was never asked this, actually! I use ja-viera’s “Ghost” road replacements and overlays. I hope there’s no trouble in a reupload, as I always have a hard time finding their mf folder, if it’s still available at all! Included in my upload are two complementary floors with ja’s textures I made for personal use - I take no credit for anything here!

I am in love with the cutest little frame! However I had no recolours whatsoever for it so I made a ‘few’ in a personally selected palette, which I now share with you. 27 colours + black and white, smooth rather than wooden. The photo/painting part is slaved to the Travel Poster. Mesh is included, but you can get the whole set here.
