Feyd-Rautha headcannon/ fic idea

Feyd hands reader/oc/love interest an apple or some food casually at a meeting. It's early, as is typical for Feyd's schedule and reader is tired, so they happily take it and eat it.

Feyd did this to fuck with reader/oc/love interest, because he (and most everyone else) assumes any food they don't prepare themselves is poisoned on Geidi Prime. It's not normal to just eat food that a stranger gives you (so much so that variations on "eating something prepared by someone else" is code for a person being an idiot or irresponsible in love) , and Feyd is horrified that you actually ate it.

What's worse is that the man spends the next day in a silent panic watching reader because he just picked up the apple, he has no clue if it's poisoned.

Feyd x Reader thoughts I can't stop from bouncing around my brain like the DVD player logo.

The Emperor takes Arrakis away from the Harkonnens. Not as an overly convoluted power grab, but because the Spice is the main source of income for the entire empire and people don't want to buy it when it means that they have to buy it from someone who might just fucking kill them for "breathing wrong" or "to test my sword".

To earn back Arrakis from the Atreides, the Baron gets a wife for Feyd who will revamp their reputation; like a company in trouble for causing ecological destruction getting a new celebrity representative. Reader is a princess/duchess etc who is not only soft but famously so.

No one really paused to think why she would agree to the match. Hint: reader's probably fucked up in her own way but just 500x better at hiding it.

Feyd-Rautha Headcanon idea #2

Geidi Prime is a fairly toxic planet, and they manufacture a lot of poisons, some of which make their way to court. The Barron likes to use poison for mind games, making a guest think they're poisoned or not when the opposite is true.

Feyd has been systematically immunizing himself to a wide variety of poisons for years. This means that he can use them publicly without worry that he will accidentally poison himself.

He prefers poisons as a means of killing for those he considers beneath him (i.e. doesn't consider them interesting or important enough to fight) and enjoys showing off by eating food that he knows could be poisoned and would kill someone without his tolerance.

A normal person in House Harkonnen doesn't touch any food that hasn't been tested, but Feyd just takes what he wants.

It makes him look untouchable, as fitting his role as Na-Barron.
