Yes, absolutely, when Anakin comes in and says "Hey I'm worried about my... friend dying" it's reasonable to teach him to grieve healthily, but that is decidedly not what Yoda does. Yoda says "Just grieve healthily bro" and that does precisely nothing to help in this situation.

Yoda, you are a 900 year old Jedi Grandmaster. Anakin is a 22 year old knight who you knighted a bit too early because too many of your extant knights got murdered by Skeletron the Russian Cyborg, and he has well-established issues. Teach him. It is literally your job to teach people, you backwards-talking goblin. Don't just huck Thought for the Day advice at him and consider that a job well-done.

This whole mess could've been avoided if they did literally anything about his attachment issues besides telling him that he shouldn't have them. Yeah no shit, obsessive attachments are bad, have you thought about training him how to overcome that at any point between getting the bomb in his brain deactivated and leaving his still-explosive mother on Tatooine and him chopping off Mace's hand?

Did the Jedi deserve what happened to them? Obviously not. Were there steps they could've taken to avoid Anakin self-destructing that were not taken? Absolutely yes.

People really do assume the FromSoft formula is just "super hard boss fights" but really it's Tall Ladies, Hidetaka Miyazaki's barely contained masochistic death fetish, incredibly hard but usually fair boss fights, community graffiti, annoying rat, even more annoying dog, walk walk fashion baby, poison swamp, bottomless pit, Large Jovial Dad Figure, jolly cooperation, Berserk Reference, and slapstick comedy.

Honestly peoples' obsession with Bionicle's first few years (and how that's affected people's view of it from outside the fandom) taps into a Thing™ I have about when a specific era or part of a piece of multi-part media becomes The One Thing that everyone talks about or references after the fact, despite there being a lot more of it that's probably way more interesting but that only a fan of the thing would otherwise know about.

If there's a thing you liked in the past, don't just appreciate the parts that you're nostalgic for; explore and even celebrate the rest of it too, because for all you know, you could stumble across something pretty neat, and then share that with people who might not otherwise find out about it.

PSA for men and other non-womenfolk: Remember, if a woman hasn't opened up to you about her slug pilot yet, it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't like you. A woman's slug pilot is a deeply personal thing, and while some may feel comfortable being open about it, others may be embarrassed by it, potentially even going their whole lives without discussing it with even their closest friends and partners. So don't be pushy, and don't mention it unnecessarily. Do your best to make the women in your life feel comfortable, safe, and free from judgement around you, and maybe, just maybe, you'll be lucky enough to find someone who trusts you enough to show you her slug pilot.
