A little green birb that I have yet to name - I've been slowly but surely detailing him over the course of several DnD sessions, as BG3 has been absolutely *devouring* all of my actual spare time.

My newest DnD Character - Midnight “Blue” Adagio. She’s a Tiefling Bard with a background in jewel thievery, fresh off of a Spelljammer ship and looking for her kidnapped crew. <3

This year has been a crazy-busy one, and I definitely haven't made it through as many paintings as I would have liked, but I finally finished this wee starling boy ❤️

There are some days that you finish a painting, and some days a painting is deemed done because you've been fiddling with it for too long and you're tired of looking at it 😂

"Thread"
Normally bullfinch are more orange in color, but I thought this guy could use a little more spring-pink. 😁

Probably the most realistic-leaning birb I've attempted in a minute, this here is a Belted Kingfisher. 🐦

“Duchess Bane” - This lovely annoyance loiters around carefully manicured gardens, waiting to steal fallen jewelry and coins for it's treasure hoard.

A buddy of mine asked if I'd done a Spotted Towhee (I hadn't) and this flew out of my brush! (Nib, whichever. 😁)

"Coral-tailed Flycatcher" This raspberry gal was the first bird I sketched out in Procreate, which I've been test driving these past few weeks and I *love it*, the brush textures are killer. (I did finish it up in Photoshop for the finer details.)

WHELP, no idea where in the ether this idea came from but....I painted a duck. A lightning duck. This started out as one of those scribbles that you don't expect to finish, and yet somehow this weird little guy pulled through.

“Wyvern Jay”
The Wyvern Jay is a mountain dwelling bird highly sought after for it's glowing plumage and fiery eyes (Their golden feathers continuing to glow at night.) They love the tinkling of bells, and are often drawn to wind chimes.

“KERNEL”
A coworker of mine is putting together a Ladies Night DnD session, and I've never played before, so obviously I had to roll out in style. Meet my idiot son: Kernel.
He's a gallus druid obsessed with what dish he's going to be prepared as when he dies. He insists it be chicken and waffles (because he saw it in a vision), and is on a quest to find the very best recipes for both fried chicken and waffles. He took the name "Kernel" because he heard "The Colonel" in his chicken and waffles vision and didn't understand the difference. He has a cricket scribe that writes down every recipe they find in his book, and he carries a jug of syrup on his belt at all times.

“Jacques”
Looking through bird reference a while back, I found these hornbills that look like straight up muppet birds, and I love their big dumb faces *too much*. So I painted up this guy in the style of the other three "awakened" birds I'd done. I imagine he travels around the countryside with a troupe of entertainers, earning his keep (and his trinkets) by picking the highest, tastiest fruits.
