All of your food sculpts are amazing! I'm currently learning 3d modeling/animation and I just found your blog and it's amazing! if it's ok can I ask if you have any tips for a beginner? (only if you're comfortable)
Oh my gosh thank you so much for the compliments!!
My biggest advice for a begginer at 3d animation and modeling is to not get frustrated if things dont look the way you want them to at first. I still struggle with that. Also, tutorials will be your best friend forever. I find there's still a lot I don't know with these programs after like 7 years. This is more advice for creative endeavors in general though.
Specifically for 3d modeling, I would say definitely learn about keeping topology clean and in quads or triangles and what works best. I ignored it for a while, and it's really annoying to go back and have to recall how to do things the right way. Also only adding geomertry/ smoothing or subdividing when necessary. I used to smooth everything all the time because I liked the look of it, but it really bogs down the scene and makes things 10x harder. There are other ways to do it like sofenting normals.
An isometric Bakery I modeled in blender over the past few weeks. I kept going back in and adding more details to it and I really like how it came out.
