2. What is the trait they most deplore in themselves?

Dolores considered this. In her own mind, she was completely perfect in every way. She was hardworking, rose through the ranks of the ministry to become undersecretary to the minister himself and had many achievements under her belt. She took no nonsense and spoke in a respectful manner, to those that deserved her respect of course.

Indeed, there was the small instance where she lied, in fact she lied an awful lot. Her mother was a disgusting muggle, and it was her fault her brother was born a squib. There was no way anyone could know of her half blood heritage. So, no... That lie was justified. It was a lie in which to better herself in this world and needed to rise in the ranks of society. Which is why forcing her father to retire from his janitorial job at the ministry was also necessary. How on earth could she truly have risen so high if people knew she came from so low a place?

A high pitched chirp of a laugh left her lips, as a sickly sweet smile spread on them.

“How absurd, how can anyone have time to achieve their potential if they’re constantly looking at the negatives? No, no... I strive to be the best I possibly can be, which is exactly what everyone should do.”

An answer that glossed over the facts but did nothing to reveal the truth was what Dolores was best at. Yes, she truly was best at lying.

dear-indies has an active rp masterlist their player inactivity limit is now a month due to rl stress / the pandemic.

If you look on the dear-indies Harry Potter role-play masterlist, there’s lots of inactive accounts that have been inactive for months or more. So unless it’s up to date it doesn’t serve as helpful to any new members wanting to join the HP RP community.

That being said, I’m not trying to step on anyone's toes. I made my own masterlist because I was frustrated and found it very difficult to find active blogs, so I’m hoping it’ll be a lot easier for everyone to have an active and up to date list that I intend to update weekly. Dear indies can still do their thing.

7. What is their best pickup line?

Dolores sat from a moment, taken aback by the question. It was certainly an intrusive question and pointless too, in her opinion. A sweet smile spread on her lips as she pondered the question. In truth, she didn’t have a pickup line and in all honesty, the idea of using such methods to show interest in someone embarrassed her. She was far too old and mature now to need to use of childish pick up lines.

However, she knew in all honesty that she had never needed to use flirtatious methods to garner interest. Those older men in the ministry, those who possessed influence and power and would have made suitable husbands if only for their stature in society, never cared for Dolores beyond her hardworking tactics and found her much too hard to like. Affronted and hurt by the lack of advances used towards her, Dolores had come to terms with the fact quite a time ago, that she would never marry or have a partner in this life. Not for lack of trying of course, so she would instead dedicate her life to climbing up the ladder of success.

“What a ridiculous question.” She said at last, shaking off all notion of the idea of a ‘pickup line’, as though she were above such a childish thought. “I must inquire what age you believe me to be? Pickup lines indeed. I have more important things to worry about.” She turned her nose up at once and let a huff of disapproval out of her thin mouth, pretending of course that the question had not played on her mind.
