Tubbz Tomb Raider Classic Lara Croft

This item was released in early 2024, February 16th according to Amazon, and it recreates the look of Lara from Tomb Raider 1 in a vinyl rubber duck form. It comes in its own bath tub and uses the colours and logo of the unified Tomb Raider timeline. On the label is a reminder that this item is not a toy.

The description on the official Tubbz website reads: "Tomb Raider fans it’s time to celebrate – it’s 27 years since Lara Croft leapt into action and began her journey to become one of the most iconic gaming characters of all time. Part of the gear available on the new 2024 gear store, this item is a stamped leather keychain with an HK-style clip. The official store page gives the following description: "We can’t all live in massive mansions full of priceless artifacts. Tomb Raider Lara Croft's Classic Raider Specs

For the first time in over 20 years, fans are once again able to purchase Lara's signature sunglasses! The official store page gives the following description: "Whether she’s plunging the depths of a long forgotten tomb, climbing a dangerous glacier, or just going out for a spin on her trusty motorcycle, Lara always does it in style. Take a leaf out of her book with the Lara Croft’s Classic Raider Specs".

The frame is made of stainless steel with a brass finish, the lenses are polarized, with a red tint. The item measures L126.5mm x W50mm and weighs 17g. The case is made from PU leather with a debossed Tomb Raider logo on the front. It measures L16.5cm x W6.5cm x H5cm and weighs 56g. Lara's signature can be seen on the right lense.

Idea Planet Launch Tomb Raider Collector Bundle - Lara Croft's Backpack

ITEM NEEDS CROWD FUNDING

First proposed in 2023 through fan surveys, this bundle features Lara Croft’s Backpack, Lara’s Journal and some Tomb Raider game covers pin badge collection. The bundle itself will not go into production unless it can get the support of 2500 people to back the project. Pre-orders began at 08:00 a.m. EST on February 14, 2024, and run until 11:59 p.m. EST on March 31, 2024. The bundle will cost $119.

The backpack itself measures approximately W13" x H10.5" x D5", with space to fit a tablet, chargers, a journal, and more! It is made from authentically-aged and distressed top-quality vegan leather and will have a fully lined interior. The main compartment features two smaller compartments and for ease, the backpack will be fastened by snap closures although it has brass buckles for extra detailing. Just like Lara's backpack as seen in the classic games, this backpack also has the two outside side pockets and one front pocket. Every backpack will be individually numbered.

The journal measures W5.3" x L8.5" x and 0.75" thick, and is very reminiscent to the journals seen in the Rise of the Tomb Raider collector's Edition. Just like the backpack, it will be made of authentically aged and distressed top-quality vegan leather and features the the debossed Croft family crest on the front. It contains 85 blank pages, weathered, 150 gsm acid free paper and the whole thing can be fastened by an adjustable leather strap closure.

The pins that feature the cover art from the first three Tomb Raider games measure in at H1.83" x W1.43", made from die-cast zinc alloy with rubber stopper. The family crest pin is a little bigger, measuring at H2" x W1.6", also made from die-cast zinc alloy, but finished with antique nickel with metallic gold and black wash. It also has a rubber stopper.

Tomb Raider 15th Anniversary Nerd Machine Unisex T-Shirt

Featuring artwork by Crystal Dynamic's very own Brenoch Adams, titled “Shipwreck Beach”, which he created for the 15th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise, this t-shirt was available in limited numbers (only 1000 were made) and sold via the Nerd Machine website. A portion of the money from each sale went to 'Child's Play', a games industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in a network of over 60 hospitals worldwide. The first 50 people to purchase a t-shirt were also awarded with a poster of the same print. A regular Tee cost $25 whilst the 2XL size cost $27. For additional information, the poster could be bought for $20.

Due to its limited place of sale (1 online store in 1 country), these have become very rare. We have rarely ever seen these on eBay and these don't appear in many fans' public collection. Due to the resurgence of interest in Tomb Raider goodies, we wouldn't expect this to be a cheap purchase, if you do indeed see one!

Lara Croft Tomb Raider Inkworks Uncut Mini-Press Sheet

Made and sold by Inkworks in 2001, this item features the 9 foils cards on a single sheet. It is limited to a run of 500 and comes in a sturdy card envelope.

These can still be seen on eBay but they can be a little costly for what it is. Saying that though, there is one listing seen in USA for $59.99, which isn't too bad for US residents as it was originally sold for $69.95 by Inkworks.

Tomb Raider (2018) Journal

One of several items created to promote the release of the movie 'Tomb Raider' (2018). It is made of a brown faux leather, with three little blank booklets tied on the inside using a cord. The journal is also closed with a thin piece of faux leather that wraps around the item. Along one edge on the front is the movie logo, the words 'in cinemas 2018' and copyrights. It measures approx H18.5cm x W12cm.

These journals can appear on eBay from time to time. Currently, at time of writing, there are none for sale.

'Get a Grip' Iron-On Patch

A patch created in 2018 for the release of the game 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider', it is one of several that were created. It is embroidered on the front with a pick axe image and the slogan 'Get a Grip', and has an adhesive backing so that it can be ironed onto your favourite item of clothing. It is roughly H8.5cm from the top of the axe to the bottom of the grip, and W6cm.

Like several of the iron-on patches, this one is hard to find and was never sold officially, but when it does appear, it shouldn't be too costly as there isn't much to it.

Mens Rise of the Tomb Raider T-Shirt

Created for the promotion of the game 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' and sold on the official Tomb Raider Store in 2015, this t-shirt features the game's logo on the front, with a frosty, icy blue and white effect, and a plain white pick axe image on the back under the neck line. Here is the official store description: 'Men's 100% premium cotton black crew neck tee with 3-color iced screenprint on front and 1-color screenprint on back'. It came in sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL and 3XL.

It was originally sold for $20.00 on the official store. This is a rare item as the RotTR pieces of clothing didn't last too long, and it is no longer being sold brand new. Second hand, it will most likely keep its price, and it is best to look to the usual second hand shops (ebay for example) in order to add this to your collection. However, it doesn't appear often.

Trinity Insignia Iron-On Patch

We are not sure when this patch was created but the bulk of iron-on patches were created for 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' in 2018. It is embroidered with the insignia of the group 'Trinity', as seen in the games 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' and 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider'. It has an adhesive backing that will melt under the heat of an iron. It measures just over H9cm and just over W9cm.

These are rarely seen for sale and were never sold officially. It might be worth a little more to some collectors due to its rarity and also its likeness to those seen in the videogames.

Tomb Raider Zippo Lighter

We stated here that Zippo made four TR related lighters, however the TR2 logo lighter has a variant. To date this item, Zippo has a numbering system on the bottom of each lighter; this one features a H and the roman numerals XIV, the letter H representing the month August, whilst the numerals represent the year 1998. This makes this particular case newer than the one seen in the German Tomb Raider 3 merchandise booklet (which by using eBay listings of that item, dates to August 1997). This is sadly all we know and anything else would be guessing.

Any TR related lighter can be a rarity and along with the Zippo branding, can be expensive too. It's one of those items that you might want to add just one to your collection. eBay would be the best places to search. We were lucky to get this from a UK TR merch collector, which kept the costs down.

Redskins Tomb Raider 'Natla' Leather Jacket

One of a set of five officially endorsed Redskins jacket, this particular variant is called 'Natla'. Now we have written about the set prior, which you can read here. Each variant is limited to 2000 jackets worldwide and you can see the limited number on the tag inside. This version features the Rock Technology logo as seen on Lara's antarctica jacket in TR3, a secret mobile phone compartment, a spare button and a removable suede lining.

These are quite difficult to collect for multiple reasons: firstly, they are limited in number so they rarely appear online for purchase and when they do, they can be expensive due to being a reliable brand, made of real leather/sheepskin. The Natla variant is one of the more common versions but even then, the price can exceed £100.

This first in a set of four archives of the Top Cow comics features an introduction by Andy Park, one of the biggest contributors to the Tomb Raider comic franchise, covers the comic issues #1-15, a cover gallery including variants and what is considered the very first TR comic of its kind, the Sega Mean Machines comic.

As of writing in 2022, the price of any of the four Archives have at least doubled and you'd be lucky to find any archive still sealed for less than £100. Add to this that these books are no longer sold by Dark Horse or Amazon and despite public demand for the 25th anniversary (due to high prices), there are no plans for a re-release. However for those lucky enough to have one of these, this also means that these books hold their value. And if you do end up paying a lot for one, these books will hold that value.

Wētā Workshop Mini Epics 'Lara Vs Raptor' Vinyl Figure

Announced through their 'Collectible Unleashed' showcase, this figure is one of two based on Lara Croft in the 'Mini Epics' range. The image of Lara is based on the model in 'Tomb Raider: Anniversary', whilst the whole design is based on the 1:4 scale 'Lara Croft The Lost Valley' statue. This figure was sculpted by Wētā Workshop’s Mini Epics Art Director, Mauro Santini. Its measurments are W11.9cm x H23.3cm x L13.5cm and it weighs 0.33kg. Its decription on the website reads: 'Many forgotten dangers lurk deep with The Lost Valley, but Lara Croft is up for the challenge. Both are deadly, both are dangerous, and both are experts in their field, but this raptor may have bitten off more than it can chew. Capturing that spirit of adventure and endless bravery, our Mini Epics team have crafted the world’s foremost adventurer into a world-class collectible.'
