playlists for different moods ✧

under the lights - in the backset of your friends car, head out of the window, cold wind blowing through your face in the dimly lit yellow glow of the night, the streetlights and stars merge into one sky, the overwhelming feeling of wanting to scream through a tunnel

rotting pears - everyone's eyes are on you, apples falling to the ground, looking at yourself in the reflection of the glass doors, lollipop in mouth, chewing on gum, smiling to yourself as you pass by others, who is the mystery walking down the blue toned lights of the grocery store?

velvet teeth - the feeling of thick lip gloss on your mouth, splayed across plush furniture, purple and pink hues all around, sipping on a cool cherry flavored drink, the air is sultry and you catch glimpses of glitter floating around

the irrelevant - you are dead in my mind, i am burying your body in the middle of an open field, i keep my knives by the door, broken statues of gods and men are under my feet, who do you think you are? i did not lose you, you lost me.

pressing soft kisses to knuckles - we live in a house on a cliff by the sea, there are untamed bushes of flowers everywhere, we are hidden away underneath the sun and clouds, i see you in my dreams as i am in your bed, i wear your initial around my neck and it tastes sweet

kiss of venus - main girl potential, perfume in her hair smells of a planet you'd want to visit, when you see her she moves in slow motion, a fantasy of smiles, embodiment of an angel, a fairy, a goddess, the confusing feeling of wanting to be her friend or more

rising temperatures - decks of cards thrown on the table, unfinished drinks all around, something sticky and sweet and sour, the is sweat and salt in the air around, the smell of sunscreen and artificial tropical fruit moves around the table as you laugh with friends under sunglasses

the tenderest part - sometimes it's okay to sit next to our shadow selves, to only share tears and nothing more, there is soap in our eyes, what else are we supposed to do?

realitybreak - on a rooftop away from the movement of the world, you watch the earth and the sky become one, count constellations and wonder if they have ever counted us, the sun has set but the night hasn't come yet, you spot someone walking alone and wonder if it makes a difference if you were walking with them, it's nice to feel like your life is just this, just this

eat my youth - watching my old self through songs, reliving moments of being sixteen and dumb, the coming of age movie in my head where my younger self is the main character (as they deserved)

i glitch in the light - wear a dress and dance around the living room, no one is watching not even yourself, your houseplants watch you and sway, sunrays enter curiously and touch your hands and legs, there is a pinkness in the air, it smells of peach or cherries, eyes are closed mouth smiling feet can't touch the ground, the world moves with you
