Taking this account into a new direction

So for the last year, I've found it super difficult to find things to post. I felt pressured to only post things relating to cartoon news. However, I want to expand on here, and post head canon related stuff. Also, my content will also lean towards more video game content. I will still post cartoon related things, I just want to go back to my roots of this account, just posting for the hell of it.

My thoughts on the Fionna and Cake series (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

So, as of today, the first two episodes have released. I gave them a watch and enjoyed them. I especially loved the Sailor Moon-inspired sequence in the beginning. I thought it was interesting how these Adventure Time characters were integrated into real life society, and how there were alterations to make some of the characters seem more human (and Cake seem more of a cat). The second episode focused more on Simon, as he copes with his past as the Ice King. I loved his adventures and dynamic with Finn, and I hope to see more of that in the coming episodes.

I remember when the first Fionna and Cake episode released in 2011, and despite being only seven years old at the time, I absolutely loved it. One thing I absolutely enjoyed about Adventure Time was their willingness to experiment with a lot of ideas. I hope this new series can achieve this as well.

Reminders as The Owl House ends

1. Don’t beg Dana Terrace for more episodes and a fourth season. The ending of The Owl House was out of Dana’s control and she should not be blamed for this decision. Unfortunately, many Star vs the Forces of Evil fans still beg for creator, Daron Nefcy, to make a fifth season, which is annoying for the creator, and will give false hope. 

2. Support Dana through her future endeavours. After The Owl House, Dana will likely move onto other projects and shows, similarly to many other creators. 

3. Be thankful for The Owl House. Dana and the crew put their blood, sweat and tears to create this amazing show. The ending may have been rushed or unsatisfying, but three seasons is still a lot compared to other cartoons.

4. The Owl House may return in other mediums. Likely, Disney may publish comics or chapter books to continue the story and lore. For Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil, and Amphibia, there are tie-in books to expand the lore and continue the story of these shows.

Clone High | Official Teaser | HBO Max

I am so excited, you have no idea!!

Clone High is my favourite show, fyi. The second season will presumably release on May 18. I’m buying an HBO Max subscription for a few months just to watch this show. I absolutely love how Harriet Tubman and Frida Kahlo are added to the main cast, even though I don’t exactly like all the change to Harriet’s hair. I am also happy to see some good chemistry between Joan and Cleo, in which they were enemies in the first season. I’m also hoping for some more iconic lines from JFK.

I’m going to give my thoughts on the Ghandi situation. As you may have noticed, Ghandi did not appear in this trailer and likely won’t appear in this season. The original series was cancelled because of the portrayal of Ghandi, so it is totally understandable why they didn’t include him. I still hope they acknowledge his existence in some way or do a funny fourth wall break explaining it.

My thoughts on Inside Job’s cancellation

Personally, Inside Job is one of my all time favourite Netflix animation series, and the creators put so much effort and love into it. I related a lot to Reagan and loved how she was great female autistic representation. I enjoyed learning about the inner workings of common conspiracies and how they were played out. My favourite episode is Clone Gunman because I enjoyed all the references to the MTV series Clone High. I am very saddened and heartbroken that Netflix butchered this wonderful series. I wish the best for Shion Takeuchi and the rest of the crew.

1. Aaron Mitchell (The Mitchells vs. The Machines)

While watching The Mitchells vs. The Machines, I could easily tell that Aaron is autistic. Aaron is hyper fixated on dinosaurs, so much, it takes over his life. He avoids social situations, such as when he tried to approach a girl who like dinosaurs and ran away from her. Aaron is a great representation of autism because unlike other characters, he has a clear passion and special interest for dinosaurs.

Famous Animators that did NOT attend CalArts

CalArts is the top animation school in the world. Most well known animators attended the school and created famous movies and TV shows. I personally applied there and got rejected, and I hope to reapply and get accepted one day, even though it is super expensive. I basically made this post to cope with the fact that I am not going there.

Attended École des Métiers du Cinéma d'Animation, a French college in their animation program. So stop saying Gumball has the “CalArts style”.
