Have the cracks still been appearing or do they only start when Antonio doesn’t get a gift?

Very curious about the plot!!

Mirabel's gift is this because I thought it was actually a really good idea:

Bruno doesn't have the vision, but he does still live in the walls after a disagreement with his mother got out of hand, and something was revealed that made him hide away

As for the cracks, they start appearing after Bruno disappeared, but they're hidden and kept under control by Mirabel, Dolores and Bruno
