IT IS HERE. HUZZAH.

The finale to my big massive queer horror game is now released. Which means that, after 2 years and 8 months, the game is now complete. (And I am now officially spent.)

The finale features:

🔚4 epilogues (1 neutral and 3 LI-focused)

💦A lot of tears

💕A lot of heart

If you're new to this school, Our Wonderland is a super cool and definitely not traumatic horror-fantasy visual novel following a passel of childhood pals returning to the wish-granting wonderland of their youth. Or, as I also like to describe it, "five 30-year-olds tackling the traumas of a cis- het- allonormative world in a land where all their (darkest) dreams come true."

It stars an awkward biro-ace guy who may or may not get some gay kisses as he struggles to figure himself out (and keep from dying). YEAHHHHHHH.

The full game features:

283k words (around 20-25 hours)

520 CGs (because I'm severely unhinged)

96 unique sprites (+ countless variations)

7 animatic-style semi-animated cutscenes

12 optional deaths (+4 non-optional deaths)

i shared this on twitter but forgot to do so here lol

i had the honor of beta testing the finale of our wonderland by @just-a-carrot and it's probably one of if not my favorite VN i've played in years! obviously no spoilers, but i think everyone regardless of your favorite love interest (or character in general) will really enjoy how the story wraps up

if you haven't played the game already, i highly recommend it!! it's a pretty heavy read (length and content wise), so i would suggest looking at the content warnings carrot has listed on the itch.io page. they were super helpful for my personal reading experience, and the game has a lot of fantastic accessibility options for anyone who may need them!

congrats on the release, carrot, and i hope to see a lot of new fans of the game after the finale update!! april 5!! mark your calendars!!!!
