i learned about Tim Wong who successfully and singlehandedly repopulated the rare California Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly in San Francisco. In the past few years, he’s cultivated more than 200 pipevine plants (their only food source) and gives thousands of caterpillars to his local Botanical Garden (x)

am buying my first gaming pc tomorrow and already mourning my bank account statement afterwards

#i am very lucky to be in a relatively good financial position #especially for my age #since i’ve worked the last two years without having to pay rent/groceries/etc from living at home #and community college for gen ed’s have made it so that i’ve literally payed maybe $250 total dollars for schooling in that time #so i’ve managed to save quite a bunch #and i’ll have help with tuition/room+board when i transfer #but i still Do Not Like making big financial decisions #like buying an ipad for school genuinely made me cry lol #and i’ve used it every day since! just like i’ll use this new pc all the time for the forseeable future! #but the initial cost makes me want to weep #seeing your parents struggle with money in your formative years does a number on you lol

Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria is such a weird theory because it's like there's a very obvious explanation for why middle school kids who didn't have dysphoria before might suddenly have dysphoria. Like huh weird I wonder what very obvious and widely known change that could cause kids to suddenly become very uncomfortable in their gender or sexual identity starts in between the ages of 10 and 14. Guess we'll never know. Must be peer pressure to *checks notes* become the only gender minority in your whole school singling you out for harassment by your peers. Couldn't be puberty suddenly giving you new body parts/bodily functions that are wrong for you.
