When there is silence, it is Contentment, not another passive aggressive fight. The dog is no longer barking to protect, he simply just wants the cats to play with him. happy new year 2024

man oh man am i sad today asdkjfh today has just been hard with my car not starting (my car has been acting up a lot lately) and my gf leaving a few days ago for California. then on top of that my first thought about today was "wow, this is the year my papow dies", which is like super morbid and dark but he's got colon cancer and the doctors are surprised he's made it this far. I've spent time with him, told him how much I love him, and have made as much peace as I could. Still, I need to call him more. anyways, overall I'm just feeling sad, tired, and lonely. normally I try to have a positive outlook on the new year but today it is a struggle. anyways, I hope writing this new year resolution list helps in some way. and if it doesn't? at least I tried.

-read more omegaverse books

-visit more new-to-me bookstores & thrift stores

-travel somewhere new

-craft more (collage, paint, make bracelets, etc.)

-keep up w/ a book/movie log

-visit little libraries

-do more cosplay

-get a big girl job or at least one that isn't starbucks

-learn a new physical skill (boxing/skating/hoolahooping)

-take more chances, life is a sim and it is about time I start acting like it

-video/see my friends more

-try at least new places to eat

-visit a town in FL I've never been to

-finish draft 2 of my book

-get better w/ money (saving/student loans/retirement)

-try a new haircut

all of these things I'd like to do but at the end of the day, I just want to be happy. if I can manage more happy days than not happy days I'll consider that a win. this oddly did make me feel a little better. at the end of the day, I have amazing friends who love and support me, a girlfriend who loves me more than I ever thought possible, and family who drive me crazy but I love them, and more opportunities to grow and learn and laugh and love. here's to doing our best!
