'A man who chases two rabbits, doesn't deserve one.' Her whole life the vixen and her covetous personality despised that phrase, but.. perhaps in this moment in her life, listening to it's meaning instead of shunning it might serve her well. โ What might force a woman out of hiding after more than two decades? A part of her sought revenge, another a taste of power, glory. But when it came down to it, underneath that kitsune mask what she truly desired... was simple aid.
Spending most days in pain or in bed didn't suit the redhead. Pain slowly managed throughout the years, but pain still prevalent nonetheless. Traditional doctors had no cure for her, herbalists tricks and cons didn't work. So now it was a matter of reigning in her pride and searching higher up in the ever changing global food chain for help. After all her dreams of returning to crime and thievery were as good as on hold until she found a possible remedy. Unfortunately for her, whether karma or some cruel fate, it would seem most who could possibly help were former acquaintances the once infamous Kunimitsu wasn't quite ready to face.
Lee Chaolan, the flirtatious annoyance from her previous dabbles in tournaments was first on her list, to her dismay. Even her small clan had heard of his company's feats, and when her daughter reported the number of unique medical equipment being delivered to Violet Industries, the plan was clear: a heist was in order.
โ Hence why she was now here, shimmying through the cramped passageways not intended for anyone to ever traverse. Using light and shadow as she moved, each light that shun through passed hatches letting her keep track of her location following the memorized image of the buildings blueprints in her head. Until finally she reached it, what should be the medical bay.
One silent removal of the hatch and careful drop later, and based on the shapes she could make out, Kunimitsu was surrounded by what she wanted. IV's, beeping machines, and.. what appeared to be someone ill on a table. She froze. Ears locked on the pattern of the strangers breathing, the sound of a nearby heart monitor. ...They were asleep. In a far deeper sleep than she could discern, but either way, she would have to be quick. Time was of the essence. The little party going on in another wing could only capture the employee's attention for so long.
Quickly pictures were taken of the room with her phone, should there be anything her lack of vision made her miss then this way her daughter could inform her and she could come back for more equipment later. And with no sign of approaching guards, the fun part could begin.
The fox began swiping almost anything she could get her hands on. Prescription bottles, files, needles, you name it. Duffel bag over her shoulder, anything stolen that wouldn't serve her later could no doubt be sold for a high price, right?
Attending formal events were rarely his thing.
As much as Lee insisted he come along, Lars politely declined. The businessman was far more talented at keeping the politicians entertained than he could ever be.
With the dinner over with, Lee was busy giving their guests a tour of his robotics division. Alisa had never sampled such refined foods before; while she didn't require sustenance to continue to run, she enjoyed sampling different flavours to add to her database. Since Lars had some free time to spare, he brought some of the leftovers up for Alisa to try. He of course didn't turn down free expensive food either.
The two resided in the lounge area, Lars seated with one of his legs leisurely dangling off the side of the chair. Alisa sat neatly and politely, as she usually did, across from him; her charging cable spanned to the edge of the room where she was plugged into the wall. RestingโโLars considerately put it.
"...Crazy, you can buy some of the cheap stuff and I bet they wouldn't even notice..." Lars could only scoff at the price.
Alisa pipped up, citing an article, "According to the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization, roe from any fish not belonging to the Acipenseriformes order, including Acipenseridae or sturgeon sensu stricto, and Polyodontidae or paddlefish, are not caviar."
"Fair."
"This is fun! May we do another?" Alisa giggled.
"Hmm," Lars perused the table, pausing before he settled on one of the unopened bottles of wine, "ยฅ140k?"
"Incorrect."
"Less or more?"
"Far more valuable."
"...ยฅ180k?"
Alisa's gloved fingers shielded her rosy lips, more shy laughter.
"Reallyโโ?" Lars then sat up straight, incredulous, "It can't be more than ยฅ185k."
"Approximately ยฅ182,000, depending on the origin and flavour."
"Oh come on, I was ยฅ3,000 off."
Lars had been expecting more jest on Alisa's part, but instead he was met with a deadpan stare, her emerald eyes shining even brighter than usual.
"What's wrong?"
"Unidentified signature detected in Medical Bay C."
"...One of the interns?"
"Negative, it is highly likely an intruder. Please allow me a moment to scan."
Lars rose from his chair, patting his waist to make sure he had everything on him, "I'll go check. Security has been funnelled to the guests, I can only assume whoever it is is taking advantage. Sit tight."

Thoughts on her daughter retrieving Yoshimitsu's cursed sword?
Sheer pride. Like mother like daughter. Even though she couldn't steal the infamous sword in her prime, surely losing it would torment it's former owner either way, and that was more than enough to bring a smile to the ninja's face. "I hope he loses many a nights worth sleep."
What surprised her was how no one seemed to ask a certain question, one that even she was still debating : what now?
Her cherished daughter stole the sword in her honor, now it was up to her to decide what to do with it. Tradition dictates it be used to draw Yoshimitsu's last breath, and then used to slay villains. No doubt the former would happen on way or another, yet what if it's capable of more..?
She could allow her daughter to continue to fight with the demon sword. She could use it for her own vengeance, her own greed..
The options were limitless.

A heart-shaped box of chocolate sits there, with a note that simply says, "For Kuni~"
Another normal day, the so dubbed retired ninja was on her way out for a leisurely stroll when she felt the toe of her shoe tap something. โ Something on her doorstep? Suddenly the day didn't seem so mundane. "Interesting.."
Picking up the box didn't provide much of a sharper image, but the uniquely shaped container combined with the day was clear enough for her to get the point. Even when scanned with her optical character recognition app the card attached didn't lend further info. The name of the gifts sender nowhere to be found.
The vixen's expression remaining impassive while concerns lodged themselves in her brain. Obviously rumors of her divorce had spread... if the sender was from outside the clan then that would entail someone found her hideaway from the rest of the chaotic war torn tournament ran world.. Troublesome. How troublesome.
โ Regardless, one issue at a time. Whether she wanted the chocolate or not, if left outdoors it could poison the village wildlife.
She'll accept the gift this once. For their sake. She doesn't need the stench of this sweets furry victims and the sound of their owners tears ruining her walks.

Miss Kunimitsu? Forgive me, but I have one question, may I date your daughter?
Seeking her approval was certainly honorable.. yet also moronically brave. Ironically even more so under anonymity. She may not be able to see them outside of a blurred shape, but their words were possibly more telling than they intended... She could practically feel their jitteriness reverberating through the wooden floorboards. โ Underneath her mask the vixen's eyes narrowed. Nose scrunching slightly.
"You expect a coward to be worthy of my daughter...?" Barely brave enough to ask the question, not brave enough to reveal even one tiny detail about themselves in the process. Regardless of her permission, the younger Kunimitsu wouldnโt go out with such a person.
Her trust was one to be earned, and she taught her daughter well. Don't talk to strangers, always learn a persons weaknesses, and should the stranger persist : Sickle Bash.
