Y’know I thought the jatp fandom had managed to avoid people asking who was the top and bottom between Alex and Willie but, shocker, tiktok loves to prove me wrong. I literally saw a video of someone showing their friend the show and the first fucking question they asked was whether Alex was the bottom. I’m genuinely fucking sick of this. Why is it that any time theres an mlm couple in media, you’ll always get people immediately asking who tops? Queer relationships are always fucking broken down to their sex lives, completely excluding the asexual/sex-repulsed/celibate members of the community. And it’s almost always the more emotional or stereotypically feminine of the men that’s called the bottom. Not only is it fetishising gay relationships, it’s imposing a heteronormative view on a relationship where the whole point is that there isn’t a ‘man’ or ‘woman’ in the relationship. Can women (because it’s almost exclusively women who do this, not actual queer men) please just treat gay couples as normal fucking couples instead of just focusing on their sex lives. Thanks.
