Love is the overwhelming presence. - TRU

A few moments from my very first traditional Indian wedding. My maternal family and I gathered to celebrate the union of my cousin and his bride in beautiful Balito in Durban. This was my second trip to the warm coast and I was absolutely in love with this side of the world and deeply honored to bare witness and participate in a traditional Hindu ceremony. The brides family were so generous and provided us with traditional saris to wear, this was my first time in one and I didn’t want to take it off. To sing OM together in grace, dance together in joy and bless the hands and feet of the bride and groom with turmeric, as well as have my own Mehndi done was so special. The effort, the place, the natural splendour of this African earth and family gathering in love was a treat that my heart really needed. I Am thankful for the time well spent, the beauty adorned and the love well shared. - TRU

FIT CHECK. My cousin Rebecca and I treated ourselves to our traditional excursion to the city for some fabulous brunch at our chicken and waffle fave, Mulberry & Prince. We then made our way to Zeitz Mocca, South Africa and Africa’s largest modern art museum for free Wednesday’s for S.A citizens. We both love spending time at art museums and these days especially, but always, it feels good to make use of the free resources available to us. We meandered through several floors of impactful art, unpacking each piece like poems. It was so good for the soul and also gave me the opportunity to dress up and dress smart for the weather. You know the deal, a casual chic outfit perfect for inspiring city missions like these.

I paired my vintage, high waisted leather shorts with these black knit Woolworths stockings that are almost 10 years old now. I know right?! What can I say, I know how to take care of my things and I know how to buy quality! A simple black turtle neck top to match, my delicious chocolate crop puffer jacket and my vintage leather boots to complete the captivating lewk. You know me, I’m all about feeling comfortable, authentic and powerful in what I put together and working with what I already have in my closet. Love love love what I’ve done here!

I love myself. I love all the ways I embody everything that I love to Be and do. I love myself and all the ways I embody and make room for all the parts of myself I once deemed ugly, unworthy or inappropriate. I allow myself to enjoy the beauty of my own personal energy. This is a liberation wave of Beingness sweeping over me now. I am unthreading from the status quo of my own making, burning the unchecked scriptures of Being and rejuvenating the wisdom of my own unique rhythm of soul. Yes. Love. Goddess. Earth. I’ve honoured the call to cocoon over this time. It feels good to know what my medicine is. I followed the intuitive call to go on a walk after day 1 of a three day ancestral healing workshop. I found myself walking slower than usual, meandering with the rise of my soft self love and because of this a whole new journey began to unfold. Above are some of all the sacred moments of my pilgrimage. I feel so blessed to be where I Am at within and so without. I recognize that this state of growing Being is one I’ve prayed for. There’s that prayer frequency appearing again. The mirror of this world is refracting anew, things are not what we at first assume. Believe Beloved in the multiplicity of the signs, slow down to feel yourself in process, in flow. Yes to be Earthed; to Feel, is to be surrendered. It has been a plethora of ever unfolding wisdom, graced in just the now anointing of my Beingness. We enter the garden, we love and anguish in our surrender. We love our humanity anew. This is TRU.

Followed the intuitive call to celebrate the Autumn Equinox early. Sunday at my new sacred earth haven with nothing but myself and the Goddess. Hello Everybody my heart smiled. A dream come true of deeper communion within and so without. I stood with my arms in wide greeting and was wholly embraced by every elemental deva.

A long languid afternoon of bliss, filled to the brim with loving breath, sun, earth and water. A nature dream finding itself wide awake in embodiment. I gave my offerings, I said my many thanks and prayed for more too. Always a helping hand I’m open to. For this now time I Am deeply dazzled and thankful.

Found myself guided to go into nature once again today, this time to bring more flowers and my music playfulness as offering. The tree ancestors were calling for shared loving. I lost track of time and fell into flow, exploring my rising inspiration with every willingness to just Be. The most beautiful nature altar I have created to date, I sowed from the open palm of my prayer hands. I Am so grateful for what was given, what was received Here. An ever unfolding grace, filled with wonder, embraced in love. We came full circle, this Saturn in pisces transit. These three magical years of returning to love anew. Yes I Am Here, discovering myself; the Goddess everywhere.

I Am grateful for this sacred space, sacred ancestors, OH seed of sun and soil; soul that called me back to Earth, back to Mother, introducing me to the Goddess anew. These last three years of world changing and yet as everything, including myself more and more began to change, the more I became myself. A full circle moment of offering ahead of time; consciousness. Simply Being. I found myself praying in gratitude to the blue dragon that eyed me from the mountain. Thank you OH sacred Earth for all the love returned to me and returning still. We celebrate love infinitely. I Am the Earth and the Earth is me. Amen! - TRU

A little denim on denim playfulness for a chic city mission. I love how effortlessly eye catching this kind of combination is and I especially love how seriously comfortable. I could swop them out for my pair of pure white Vans with caramel rind or my highlight orange slides from Rubi for this denim pairing. I wear my clothes, repeating pieces but never the same look because I know how to shop and style staple yet statement items that can pair with almost everything I already have. I threw on my classic, clear framed squares to elevate the overall look to my true sense of unique style. The perfect look for any city mission.

Softening into the subtle. At home with love. - TRU

I have often in the past found myself so frustrated for having to face personal insecurities, challenges, obstacles, blockages & tragedies. I felt they were markers of my imperfection, lack of strength and innate undeserving. Now I experience my humanity anew. I am thankful for my commitment to trust the unknown and love myself radically through it all even when my programming incessantly shouted that I didn’t deserve it as I first began the journey to love myself as the mother I never knew…the Goddess. Now my commitment to softening is embodied and the sing song of my soul speaks through me and to me frequently with clarity, of love, guidance and support. It flows easily to me now. Innate, it LIVES abundantly within me. This has just now started to become a natural response. I am thankful for my commitment now bearing new fruitfulness of Being. I see my shadow, my pain and suffering for it’s authenticity, for it’s purpose, for it’s guidance and for my beloved humanity anew. I feel the grace of IT’s presence anew. - TRU
