Some of my tasks on Space Jam 2 included putting characters on model, which was such a cool thing because I love drawing them! Here's a shot animated by the one and only @johnpomeroyart that I had to put on model before handing it over to the clean-up department. John did the rough animation then an assistant did the tie-down and the animation director decided another pass was needed in order to keep everything consistent so I redraw Lebron's head and Bugs face carefully not to mess up John's animation. You know, animation is all about team work and I'm always very thankful to work and at the same time learn from some great talents of this craft!

Here's another shot I did on Arlo, actually, this is the first one I got to do on the show. Fun fact: Ruff's voice is Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Flea! And that big dog is a CORGI!

I did a fun little design exercise using @justinbieber as a reference. The likeness wasn't the main point of this exercise but I wanted to focus on making the design almost usable for animation. In order to be a complete model sheet it will need a lot more drawings, but that comes from test animation shots as well and I'm not gonna to that now. And of course more drawings for the his body.

So Justin, if you want an animated music video here's the character for free, but for animation you'll have to pay tho.

If you did, Thank you for being a part of such beautiful and amazing creations of film!! If you didn't, WHAT THE FRIK, WHY HAVEN'T THEY HIRED YOU YET!?!? 🤩🤩🤩🤩♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Either way, your animation skills are top notch and so gorgeous to look at!! It's skill and animation like this that keeps my hope alive for 2D animation to still reign. I do love 3D animation as well, but there's just something about 2D that is just special to me. Hey man, sorry, didn't know this Tumblr feature exist lol. Thanks so much for the kind words! No I haven't worked on those shows but I really wish I could. I applied for Klaus but a bit too late cause they were looking for Disney veterans at that time, people with experience, applied at studios that were making Greens eggs and ham too, but without luck. And for Doppler, well, I was too young when the movie was released, so everything was personal projects. Now I'm working on Space Jam 2 and some other exciting projects, the future kinda looks great, finally! Thanks again!
