It’s time! Gif requests are officially open again here at @tuagifs! Thanks for your patience as we worked through the latest round.
A few quick notes and reminders:
If you sent in a request and haven’t seen it on the blog, it may be in the queue! Feel free to send a (NON-ANONYMOUS) ask and we’d be happy to tell you the status.
Before you make a request, PLEASE check the tags to see if we’ve already made something similar! Requests for things we’ve already made will be deleted.
Please only send ONE REQUEST per message!
Please consider SPECIFICITY and SCOPE. A request for ‘Ben gifsets’ isn’t really doable, nor is giffing an entire scene / every time something very common occurs.
Thanks again to all our followers for the wonderful requests! Requests will remain open until we have 50 or so, and then we’ll close them until next round. 💙🖤

Hi!! I love that gif set you made with the odyssey quotes and the parallels to fives life and struggle. I love that story so much and actually want to get the first part of that line “sing in me, o muse, and through me tell the story” as a tattoo. And I wanted to do it in Ancient Greek instead of english. I was wondering how you found the Ancient Greek translation and if it really matches up line for line like how you wrote it on the gifs? If you don’t know that’s totally fine. Love ur blog btw!
ahhh i’m glad you enjoyed the gifset! with the caveat that i’m absolutely not a classicist and cannot read ancient greek, i did try to match the lines up using this page, which lists sentence-by-sentence and word-by-word translations for the first few sections of the odyssey. the fitzgerald translation reggie favors is apparently a bit flowery in comparison to the original and some other translations, so i’d suggest running any tattoo designs past someone who can read ancient greek first, but that’s where i found the pieces of text i used for the set!
