The primary reason Bradford focused so hard on Scrooge is because of the Papyrus of Binding. Scrooge proved himself as an actual threat by using it as well as he did and showed as deep of an understanding for it as Bradford had. If Scrooge hadn’t been on that adventure, he’d just be a regular threat.
