Louis has crossed the galaxy with a ship full of crystals; they’re the only thing he has to offer in exchange for safe harbor. He thought getting to his destination would be the hardest part, hoping that once he got his family to safety everything would fall back into place; Louis struggles to adapt while his sisters thrive. Louis suspects Emperor Styles may have something to do with it.

Louis tried to imagine what was happening deep in the bowels of the palace. No doubt one the twitchy men who’d met with him had run off to find the Emperor, holographic palette in hand. Louis had no idea what the emperor looked like, but he could still picture the amazement on his face as the images of amaranthine crystals were made clear.

Louis’ heart thudded harder as he imagined the nameless, faceless Emperor’s breath catching in his throat, fingers reaching out to touch the holographic image, fingertips pushing against empty air.

It had to work.

If you could only read 5 fics for the rest of your life wich ones?

Hi, anon! So I gave this some thought and I think what I have to go with are the five fics I reread on a fairly regular basis. I am just not someone who generally rereads many fics. There are fics that I love that I've only read once. But there's something about these five that bring me back to them again and again, whether that's comfort or a pang of emotion or the ability to sweep me away.

Louis knows that his tail is, frankly, stunning. His iridescent blue scales shimmer in even the slightest sunlight, and his fins have grown since he presented, delicate and almost transparent in their webbing.

He also knows that that means he’ll be one of the first to pick tonight, as the most beautiful omegas are blessed to pick their mates first. It’s considered a huge honour, since the guppies they’ll eventually birth will certainly be beautiful as well, bringing favour on the whole clan.

Louis has a stubborn streak, though. He’s always been rather a fan of mating for love, and there’s someone he’s had his eye on for a long time now.

Hi, i just read your fic where omega nurse harry volunteers in cairo and i loved it! I was wondering what made you choose Egypt to be the location of your fic? Thank you!

i had to think back on this! at the time i’d been reading a lot of simone st james novels (highly recommended!) and her historical fiction is all during WWI, which made me realize how few stories there were about WWI around.

around that time i was roped into signing up for @larryabroad so i needed a plot and a location. 

it was when i was researching that i discovered that plenty of soldiers were stationed in egypt--from england and australia and india. hotels and schools were turned into field hospitals. that along with that “men at war”-war stories bore me (there’s so many more angles to take! and perspectives to show!) is why i decided to use the hospital setting in the first place, as well.

This may be a bit self-serving, but this would be an excellent time for fanfic readers who don’t normally do so to get in the habit of leaving comments on fics.

If someone’s fic is helping you get through a tough time, tell them. Chances are, the author is going through a tough time too. Knowing that your hard work is helping someone, even if it’s years after you wrote the piece, can be a bigger bright spot in someone’s day than you might realize.

Furthermore, many authors now have more time on their hands, but like everyone else, may be battling through the mental haze of fear and uncertainty. Writing can help the writer as much as the finished product helps the reader.

A bit of positive encouragement may be just what your favorite writer needs to overcome the anxiety haze and instead rekindle their joy in telling stories, at the time when they too need it most.
