A wonderful pair of C18 th Chinese Export Elm open armchairs with a yoke back beautifully curved armrests, hand carved detailed panels along the spine of the chair. More carved decoration along the apron of the seat and flanking both inner edge of the 2 front legs. This detail is also repeated in a lesser form along the inside edge of the back rests. The quality of the elm and its patina are both exceptional. On the underside of both chairs still can be found the original export stamp.
