There are lot of cozy mysteries that involve English majors/bakers with their loyal and intelligent pet cat/dog helping to solve a disturbing number of murders in their small town where everyone knows everyone else.

What I want to see is one of these amateur slueths with a pet parrot or mynah bird, pecking out clues or saying seemingly random words that get the humans thinking along the right track, making them wonder just how intelligent the bird really is.

Random thought of the day: Warlock whose patron is a child-like entity. Occasionally has to play games with his/her patron, or may be subjected to juvenile pranks. Patron may act as if the warlock is his/her imaginary friend.

Random thought of the day: Druids gangs fighting over their turf A couple of bears are in a small clearing in the woods. Suddenly, a man riding atop a dire wolf pop out of the trees, dropping a flame strike on top of the bears before bounding back into the woods. One of the bears dodges out of the way of the flame strike, but the other bear was not so lucky. The bear that jumped out of the way shifts into a young female, cursing at the Wolf Pack before casting cure wounds on the prone figure of man laying where the other bear had been.

This feel, like for real

So… I’ve made a homebrew campaign for the first time for D&D 5e… Is it sad that I’m waiting up all night to gush to someone about it??? Like, technically it’s spoilers too! And I don’t wanna ruin it, but I’m so proud of what I’ve made. We had a session tonight. It was one of the first in a long bit, and I dropped some pretty heavy lore on the players. Unfortunately, one of the biggest supporters of the campaign and my world-building wasn’t here tonight, and that’s a little sad. I think he would have liked what we came across! But I have another friend that I had been - well - bata running the world for, pretty much. I don’t want to spoil it, but I don’t think he’ll be going back to that character… ever. XD Not because he didn’t like the game, but he has so many character ideas he wants to pursue that he can’t stick with one character for too long. I mean, I’ll still ask if it’s ok for me to spoil it before I do, but it’s KILLING me not to gush about it.
