“Erik, my favorite cousin.” His only cousin, but that was beside the point. Matthias plopped down next to the boy with a broad grin. “So. What do you think of the new headmaster, huh? Day bloody one and he’s already changing everything up.” Frankly, Matthias loved the freedom that he and the other teachers had been given to properly teach the students about defending themselves and embracing what they were. “Personally, I’m pretty interested to see what he’s got in store for this school.” 

“The headmaster?“ and he looks back to where the headmaster office was. people around school seem to like the guy enough, mainly because he seems to encourage people to use their powers, which was fine. but alarm bells are all over his mind. “He seems shady. And we should know, considering our family.“ He points out, shaking his head. “But I have no time to think about it, as long as he keeps trouble out of the school, it’s fine.“ Erik doesn’t have much tying him up to the school beside his cousin and the deep water pack close by. “I have to deal with the pack so. . .the less trouble the better.”

“yeah, I always miss you.“ it was a long summer. and change was something that needed to happen. many things out of his control. the pit on his stomach, his parents death, the strong feeling of something missing inside him, becoming an alpha. but this? he can work with this. he can try and be better. hearing she missed him too makes the tribrid smile, almost surprised. almost. “we really need to work on that, don’t we?” and he takes on a step closer, almost sighing at their situation. “you missing me, me missing you. what are we, a cliche?” and erik chuckles at the thought, because right now, they were. “last year was. . .intense. but i don’t regret us. whatever we are.”

things to know about erik:

between him and hope, he thinks himself as the lesser twin, not as powerful and gifted in magic and in general skills.

he spent much of his youth hating his father for ‘abandoning them’ and season 5 was him trying to come to terms with him. 

he is honoring his father by becoming involved with the deep water pack. he is also the owner of his father’s art collection.

legacies season 1 had erik being disconnected with everyone, using drugs and magical herbs to induce magical comas in order to speak with his parents.

by season 2, erik is becoming the alpha of the deep water pack and planning to off himself in order to become a full tribrid.
