I originally was just gonna do Alastor but my stupid ass is obsessed with my genderbent design for him so I did Alice too so I can swap between the two pfps at any point.

A Deal Between Two Media Titans (Animatic Sneak Peaks Part 1)

I've been hard at work on this for a while now and I'm not even close to done, and honsetly I don't think this is gonna be done for months. If I had to guess, maybe August at the earliest. I really did not realize going in how ambitious I was being when I came up with this, but I'm already over 50 panels in and I refuse to give up.

I don't really want to spoil the plot outside the title. I even removed the dialogue to upload these sneak peaks. Also, the panels I uploaded here are not in sequential order at all. But I do plan to upload more sneak peak panels as I go.

I really, really, want to be a storyboard artist when I go into the industry one day, and this is probably the best practice I've ever done yet. I really hope people will enjoy it when I finally finish it. This shit takes time though, sadly. And rn I don't think I'll be able to work on it much until May 2nd when finals are over... well for my finals week is just final project week in the animation labs but y'know same thing.

Literally just my first Alastor render but traced over with my genderbent design. I made some minor updates to the design such as having the black part of her hair be higher and I changed the belt color to white.

I drew this a while ago, just forgot I didn't upload it. This was the first time I legitimately (as in not an edit) drew Alastor in like two years, and the improvement is still insane. Like, wow. I got a lot better despite not even draw Alastor let alone anything in the Hellaverse style for 2 years.

I did try to keep it as close to the Hellaverse style as possible but ofc I have to throw in my universal style quirks that I do for any style I draw in. The unique shading. (Eyes, nose, neck, ears if applicable, and hair) I also am giving hellaverse characters 5 fingers because I've always drawn characters with 5 fingers and it feels weird to draw them with 4.

First off, DO NOT REPOST ANY OF THESE. I left out my signature and watermark for the sake of the authenticity of the edits. Basically meaning I want them to look as real as possible. However, I will be forced to add these to future edits if people start reposting them, especially without my permission. (The Hellaverse fandoms are very bad with this) Due to previous bad experiences, I deal with reposting (especially on insta) very harshly. Especially if reposted without credit. I have been having so much fun with these and they're actually really good for learning to draw in the HH style!

Btw I've changed her name from Alastrina to Alice since I got a comment suggesting that Alice would be a better name. Despite that comment's phrasing being a bit on the rude side, I do agree that, yeah, Alice is a better name. So I do genuinely appreciate the critique despite the fact it could've been a bit nicer said. Tbh I just looked up "Female version of Alastor," when I made the edit of Alastor's render and Alastrina was what I got.

I also made a slight edit to Alice's design where I gave her lipstick since I noticed in Viv's OG drawing she probably did have lipstick.

How many people am I gonna make gay/bi/pan/omni/hetero/etc panic over these edits. Like despite these being my own edits, I am one of the people gay panicking-

Disclaimer: These are EDITS. NOT REDRAWS. I did not draw these from 100% scratch, because the point of an edit is to EDIT. Obviously it is going to be traced in some areas (mainly the face and the limbs) because that's what editing is.

Side note: Imo, good screenshot editing actually still requires heavy drawing experience to pull off well. Obviously your tracing in some areas but you're still changing some things, (the entire point) and if you don't know how to draw well, or draw in the show style well, the edit will either look fake or just bad. Edits still require good drawing experience to pull off well, just the same as regular drawing. You just have a templete to go off of. It's basically the same situation as art bases. They might be infamous for often being done poorly, but they can be still be used to make incredible art if the artist is experienced. And this is not to dunk on beginner artists, because I support the practice of edits and bases (as long as proper credit is given and its stated that they used a base or it is an edit) because bases and editing can be used as training wheels for beginner artists, or even profressional artists like me who are learning a new style, (which is what I'm doing rn actually) it's just at some point, if you're someone who does want to improve your art rather then just have fun, you gotta take the training wheels at some point.

Anyway, rant over. I just wanted to talk about my silly thoughts on bases and editing.

Like I said in the Hexside post, I headcannon Amity redyes her hair shortly after the Boiling Isles is saved.

Matt was fun because I loved the idea of giving him that stupid "S" symbol as a graphic on his tee.

As for Viney I also said this previously, she either purposely rips her own clothes like Eda, or Puddles rips them up. Tbh I don't know which I like better. Hunter just constantly says he can patch her clothing up and Viney is like NO.

I gave Skara a simple traditional nightgown since I feel like that would be her style.

Happy Dadrius Day!

Oh, you thought I was only celebrating Huntlow Day today? NOPE! Any Sport in the Storm not only gave us Huntlow, but Dadrius too!

I explore Dadrius much more in my writing rather then art, and honsetly their dynamic is so fun to write, it's not even funny. Highly recommend you check out my Timeskip Watching and Dreaming AU on A03 if you're in to both Dadrius and Huntlow. It's a serveal fic arc exploring the months shortly after the collector is defeated, during the earliest parts of the timeskip we never saw, and heavily focuses on Hunter adjusting to his new life in the post-apocalyptic Boiling Isies and new relationships with old friends, new enemies, current friends, and his adoptive father and uncle.

Anyway, didn't mean to plug myself so much like that, but I earnest really love Dadrius so much. It may have no changed my life like Huntlow did, but I've also met awesome people who have shared the love of Dadrius. And I have to thank ASIAS for giving us not only the best ship in the show, but the best found family in the show.

Happy Huntlow Day!

Any Sport in a Storm is now two fucking years old! (jesus christ,)

Two years ago my life completely changed and my TOH hyperfixatiom began. My art and writing has drastically improved in these two years and I have met amazing people, and I've even met the love of my life, @theoneandonlygothicrainbow

When the day comes that my TOH hyperfixation ends I will always look back at how this how changed mh life forever and for the better, and this was the episode that really changed everything for him. Not only did it soildfy Hunter and Willow as my favorite two characters, but it introduced me to Huntlow, a ship between those two favorite characters, that no joke, changed my life. Sounds sappy I know but if I didn't get into Huntlow I don't know where'd I'd be or who I'd be today.

ASIAS will forever be one of my top 5 episodes, you will never change my mind.

Genderbent Alastor: Alastrina (Render Edit)

I originally was just gonna trace over the official Alastor render and figure out his shape breakdown to learn to draw him... but then I decided to try and edit the render and make a genderbent version of him. So behold. Female Alastor. I think Alastrina is a good name for her.

I actually referenced the female design from a drawing Viv was requested to make in a old livestream.

Since Alastor is so stuck in his time, if he was female, Alastrina would adhere to the female fasion of the time. A lot of people who make genderbent Alastors tend to oversexualize her or make her design too similar to the male version considering their time of livinf. Considering Al's personality, neither of those design ideas fit him. It's why I really enjoy Viv's concept of female Alastor appearing to adhere to the women's fashion of the time.

I really tried to encorperate the vibe of the 1930s into the full design I made since Viv's cuts off at the knees. I also added some extra stuff to make it more 1930s style.

Also, yes, I did actually do the shape breakdown. I did it for both Alastor and Alastrina

Shape breakdowns are something I learned about in animation school and I've learned they're very helpful for learning to draw new characters you've haven't drawn before. Also, these shape breakdowns of Alastor in particular are very good at showing the difference between masculine and feminine designs.

Disclaimer: This is a render EDIT. NOT a redraw. I used Alastor's render as a base and worked off of that. Obviously it is traced over in some areas. (Mainly the face, head, and limbs) Because that's the point of an edit. Think of it as a screenshot edit or one of those old timey diveant art bases. Its the same thing. You get a Grom outfit! You get a Grom outfit! Everyone gets a Grom outfit!

Gus, Luz, and Amity were simple. Just reference the WAD Grom photo. Everyone else I came up with from scratch.

Ofc I wanted to keep the silly Suit/Dress thing Luz had going on so I did it again.

Amity tbh was probably the most simple one based on what was visible in the photo.

Gus was pretty similar to Amity, being simple outside of having to figure out how to draw his hair at a 3/4 angle because the photo had him at a side profile. (Just ignore I didn't notice he had glasses in that photo please... by the time I noticed it was too late to fix)

I originally wanted to make Viney blue, but then realized I had too many characters I wanted to make blue, so I made her yellow instead. Viney either gets her clothes ripped up by Puddles or she's like Eda and rips her own clothes.

For Skara and Boscha they're likely rich af so I wanted to try and give them fancy dresses.

For Skara and Cat, I also wanted to give them black hairstyles. Skara has dreads in a bun, and Cat has afro puffs.

Tbh I really don't have much to say for Cat's dress.

Bonus:

Amelia wore a suit in the previous grom so I gave her a suit.

Matt was fun because I really do feel like he'd go out of his way to get the extremely rare Cupid-Rose flower just to show off. Also I made his suit half blue half brown because Gusmatt lmao.
