Lesser Known Desi Tumblrs Tag Game
This will probably backfire but here goes…
Certain Desi tumblrs are not very well known among the more popular blogs, and some lesser known blogs are too shy to come forward and introduce themselves.
Which is why @krazykelpgarden and I decided that we should start this little tag game…
Basically all you need to do is tag some lesser known desi tumblrs, and list 3 facts about yourselves. Hopefully, more popular desi blogs will see this and the community will come together as a whole!
I am not very popular, and I want to get to know every single desi on tumblr if possible. However, to do this tag game, it does not matter if you are popular or not, everybody is welcome to do it because my ideology (along with Niki) is that everybody should be a more well known part of the community.
We’ll try our best to reblog all posts back to this blog, so it is easier for you guys to find each other.
I’ll start it off
1) My name is Anushka, but everyone calls me Anu
2) My favorite animal is the tiger
3) I am a huge Marvel fan, send me fanfiction to read!
Tagging some desi’s popular or not to get this heard and hopefully it won’t flop…

It was seven in the morning and not a single soul had slept a wink that night in Stark Tower. Not a single soul except for little Exton, who had not even woken up once, cuddled into Eleanor as she stared up at the ceiling. She hadn’t moved all night in fear of waking up the baby, and so far she had been successful. She wasn’t able to sleep all night, whenever she closed her eyes, she was greeted with Pepper’s dying moments. She couldn’t seem to get the sound of her gasping for air, the sound of her choking, trying to get a few more moments with Tony out of her mind. In fact Eleanor couldn’t even bring herself to believe that her best friend really was gone. It all seemed like a dream, and she would wake up in a few minutes to go prepare her soup. She really was dead though. She had passed away right in front of her, gone in a fleeting moment and there was nothing she could have done about it.
On the other end of the floor, Tony had spent his whole night sitting in that very same spot on the floor, next to the window. He watched the stars and the moon come out, he saw the clouds gather, the lightning strike and the rain fall. And he saw the sky clear up once again to let the sun come out, to bring its rays and shed light on everything. It seemed like everything in the universe operated as it always did. Pepper, his Pepper’s passing away had no effect. Everything was happening normally, the night came and went, and then the sun rose and once again as the evening will approach it will set, to let the moon take its place. But who wouldn’t come back was his wife. The love of his life and the mother of his child. No longer was she there with him, failing to fulfill her promise to be there with him in sickness and in health? But hadn’t she? Wasn’t it a paradox? They had promised to be always there for each other, but at the same time they had promised till death do us apart. And so it had done that. Death made them part ways and there was nothing that could have been done about it. Tine and time again throughout that painful night, which was perhaps, no, was definitely the worst night of his life Tony had realised that he could have everything at his disposal. He did have everything at his disposal, but ultimately this wasn’t. He was no god and he was painfully aware of that. It was today that he wished that all the tabloids that stated Tony Stark, a man who thinks he is God, were actually true for once, because if so then at least he would be able to bring back his wife.

It was seven in the morning and not a single soul had slept a wink that night in Stark Tower. Not a single soul except for little Exton, who had not even woken up once, cuddled into Eleanor as she stared up at the ceiling. She hadn't moved all night in fear of waking up the baby, and so far she had been successful. She wasn't able to sleep all night, whenever she closed her eyes, she was greeted with Pepper's dying moments. She couldn't seem to get the sound of her gasping for air, the sound of her choking, trying to get a few more moments with Tony out of her mind. In fact Eleanor couldn't even bring herself to believe that her best friend really was gone.
Pepper, his Pepper's passing away had no effect. Everything was happening normally, the night came and went, and then the sun rose and once again as the evening will approach it will set, to let the moon take its place. But who wouldn't come back was his wife. The love of his life and the mother of his child. No longer was she there with him, failing to fulfill her promise to be there with him in sickness and in health? But hadn't she? Wasn't it a paradox? They had promised to be always there for each other, but at the same time they had promised till death do us apart. And so it had done that. Death made them part ways and there was nothing that could have been done about it. Tine and time again throughout that painful night, which was perhaps, no, was definitely the worst night of his life Tony had realised that he could have everything at his disposal. He did have everything at his disposal, but ultimately this wasn't. He was no god and he was painfully aware of that. It was today that he wished that all the tabloids that stated Tony Stark, a man who thinks he is God, were actually true for once, because if so then at least he would be able to bring back his wife.
He was broken out of his deep silence when he heard the sound of his son outside, babbling and Eleanor. Eleanor, he thought to himself. His new wife. He still didn't know why Pepper had decided to get them married. He understood her reasoning, but there were so many other ways this could have been did. If not for her last wish, Tony would never have accepted another woman in his life other than Pepper. He took a deep breath trying to force himself to not let the tears slip, and got up, deciding to take a shower in order to get ready for the funeral. It was already 8am.
Eleanor in the past hour had achieved a lot. After having put Exton in his crib, she had quickly showered and changed into a sweater and jeans. Having done so, she grabbed the baby monitor, her phone and rushed down to the Banquet Floor to oversee the arrangements for the post funeral reception. There she bumped into both Rhodes and Happy.
"Hey you are here?" She tried to smile at her husband's best friend, but couldn't bring herself to do even do that.
"Yeah, I was leaving to oversee everything at the Church and break the news to the public."
 "Oh."
She turned towards Happy while James made his way out. Various workers were working in the room, there was a whole wall dedicated to Pepper and her photographs, her achievements at Stark Industries and even before that. Eleanor eyes teared up as she took all of it in, but she controlled herself. It must be weird to the public to arrange such a grand funeral for the Personal Assistant. But not only was Pepper so much more to Tony which was given, but even at the company she was considered family. She was an only child just like Eleanor, and her parents were no more. So if anyone was going to do something like this for her it was them.
"Happy do you need help? I know I was supposed to do this bu-" Just as she was asking this, the baby monitor lit up with the sounds of Exton's cries. "Uh do you mind if I?" She told him, insinuating the obvious.
"Go on, I don't mind dealing here, I'll manage." He replied with a pursed smile.
"Thank you so much!" Eleanor smiled back apologetically.
After having fed Exton because that’s why he was crying, she gave quickly gave him a bath. It took her a great while to decide whether he should be wearing all black or not. It was his mother's funeral but at the same time he was only a few months old. Did that really matter? In the end she decided to dress him up in navy blue onesie over his the many layers to protect him from the cold. She then brought him to her room, where she created a sort of pillow fort around him to prevent him from rolling down the bed. Considering he was a little over 6 months old he could definitely sit with support, so she set him up like that with Jarvis making holographic animations that he stared at with his wide brown eyes. Exton was an exact carbon copy of his dad, with the same nose and lips and the same hair. Anyone who would have known Anthony Stark in his childhood, would have thought he had time travelled into the future.
It took her maybe less than ten minutes in the shower. She didn't want to waste any time inside, while the baby was outside alone. Albeit Jarvis was keeping an eye on him, he was still an AI and there was only so much he could do. The other reason however was that she didn't even want to give her mind enough capacity to think about Pepper's death or grieve her. Eleanor had a lot of stuff to do and most importantly she had to be there for both Tony and his son, she had to be strong for them. And for that to happen, she had to make sure she didn't allow herself to lose her resolve and become weak.
Given the occasion, she chose an all-black business suit with a black turtle neck underneath the coat.  There was a lot of stuff, much more important than these physical objects that Dimitri had taken away from her. He destroyed her completely, in all sense emotionally, mentally and physically, but when she left the house for the last time ever, she took with her all that she could. These objects, dressing nice, always looking good was her only protection. She had made herself believe that all was good if she looked good and that is why one would never see her in dishevelled state, a simple t-shirt and jeans. She always aimed to look prim and proper, because that was the only way she knew how to settle down her anxieties, and to keep the memories at bay.
She quickly blow dried her, applied simple makeup and slipped on her heels. The same ones she had worn when she first stepped into Stark Tower as Eleanor Stark, not Eleanor Lockwood, not Eleanor Belikov. After having picked up Exton in her arms, she made her way down the hallway and into the master bedroom, Tony and Pepper's bedroom, where only Tony would live now. She knocked and waited a few seconds, but she knew just like last night he wouldn't respond. And he didn't.
Slowly opening the door, she stepped in, but did not exactly walk into the room. There Tony stood in front of a full length mirror, tightening his black tie when his eyes made contact with hers from the reflection. The both stared at each other for what seemed like hours but was only a few seconds. Eleanor saw the pain in his eyes, she saw the sadness, and she saw a man completely broken from the inside out but still standing in front of her in one piece.
She pressed her lips together, frown lines appearing. "Uh-" She didn't exactly know how to tell him they had to get moving for the funeral, to reach in time. "It’s time." She told him, the remaining silence between them conveying what words couldn't. The air around them screamed at them it’s time for you to bury your loved one. The nature screamed she is ours now, she belongs to us. The clouds that loomed over the New York City skyline for the second time in the past 24 hours said we will wash her presence away, cry while you can before we take away the rain, and the sun comes to snatch you away into the real life again.
Tony only made a slight movement with his head and Eleanor knew this was all the acknowledgment she was going to get out of him. So she turned around and made her way downstairs into the living room where Rhodey already dressed and ready was waiting for them.
"Where's Tony?" He asked her, while she shifted the toddler in her arms.
Eleanor opened her mouth to tell him he was coming, but Tony himself cleared his throat to announce his presence. Rhodes walked up to him, grabbing his shoulder tight and looked into his eyes, Tony stared back at him without blinking. The two best friends who were more like brothers seemed to have conveyed through their eyes to each other what words couldn't.
Tony was the first to break their eye contact. "Let’s go." He spoke for the first time since Pepper took her last breaths. His voice cracked. Maybe it was because he hadn't talked to anyone for a day, or maybe it was because there were tears he was holding back, they didn't know. Eleanor followed him to the elevator, Rhodey behind her. As the elevator made it way down to the garage where Happy was waiting for them Rhodey turned to them. "You know what this means for the both of you right?"
Eleanor looked at him confused. "I know this is not the right time but you both should know, this is the first time the both of you are stepping out into the public eye as a couple. A couple madly in love for years who have a son together."
Her heart seemed to have stopped, she didn't even think about this. Tony on the other hand only stared into his reflection in the steel doors.
"You are stepping out as the mother of Exton Howard Stark, heir to the Stark Legacy, as the wife of Anthony Edward Stark, Iron Man, one of the most powerful men in the world."
Her heart started to beat faster, as the actually reality of the situation settled in. Whatever had happened up till now was behind closed doors. But this out there was the real game, a game she couldn't lose no matter what. Her self-realisation was cut off by Tony snapping at Rhodey. "We are painfully aware of that, James you don't need to shove it in our face." He took Rhodey's first name meaning he did not appreciate whatever was just said.
Before the conversation could escalate any further, the elevator doors opened to reveal tens of expensive cars all together worth enough to buy at least a small island somewhere in the far off oceans. Just in time Happy brought the car right in front of them, a black Rolls Royce. Tony didn't even wait for her before he got into the back seat.
"Are you coming with us?" Eleanor asked the army colonel standing beside her.
"No, I'll follow you guys." He replied, making his way down to his car.
Eleanor along with Exton in her arms took a deep breath as well and got into the car's backseat. This was the first time she was going to be in such close proximity with Tony and that too in a car. After she had carefully tucked Exton into the car seat, Happy sped his way up to the exit of the garage and onto the busy streets of the Big Apple.
Having reached the Church, a swarm of journalists and photographers, of whatever magazine and newspaper you could think of were there. Eleanor turned towards Tony to see his reaction but there was nothing there. He maintained a stoic expression, not letting anything convey through his expressions, but she could sense with the way his shoulders tensed, and his fist clenched that he was really dreading what was about to happen.  As she extended her free hand, the one that wasn't holding his son to comfort him, to give him some reassurance, he turned away and went to forward to open the door and stepped out.
Sighing, she took a deep breath. Ok Eleanor, this is it now, she thought to herself, time to build up her facade which wasn't that hard anyways. She had spent her whole life doing so, what was this to her? And so she opened the door, her heel clad feet making their way onto the pavement before her body ever did. She shifted Exton into her arms so that his head laid on her shoulder, to protect him whatever flashes there would be.
Happy helped make way for them through the tons of reporters. Not that it was a hard task anyways, considering all their attention was on the billionaire hero Iron Man, who seemed to have been waiting for her up the few steps at the entrance of the holy building.
"Mr. Stark how are you feeling?"
 "Was she sick?"
"Did one of your enemies get to her?" Eleanor sucked in a breath at that one.
The questions seemed to have shifted focus as she neared her way to Tony, going onto stand next to him.
"Mr. Stark who is the woman?"
"Another one of your endless supply of women?"
 "Who’s the child?"
Yet neither she, nor Tony paid their questions any heed. Tony knew this was a changing moment for him, not so because he was about to say goodbye to the love of his life for the last and final time ever but also because of the promise he had made her. A promise and a contract he had signed. There were many ways that legal contract could be cancelled, his team of lawyers could always find a loophole, but it wasn't something just on paper. It was a promise to see Eleanor as his wife from here on now, as the mother of his child. While he refused to actually believe all of that in his heart or accept it for that matter, nevertheless Pepper had trusted him with this and he could never break that trust. Dead or alive.
Eleanor's breath hitched as his hands wrapped around her waist. This was the first time he was touching her in a non-hostile way. He clenched his eyes, ridding his mind of the thoughts that he was betraying his wife, and together the two, with Exton in his new mother's arm made their way down the aisle and into the first row of seats, closest to the open coffin. Whispers surrounded them as they walked down and over to Pepper. Both of them knew they were being talked about, and that by the time the funeral and burial ended there would be hundreds of rumors about the two. However, that didn't matter right now. The pair had their eyes set on thing only and that was the coffin in which Pepper laid.
They stood over the coffin, looking onto Pepper's lifeless body. She looked so at peace as if she would wake up from a slumber and ask to see her baby, and get onto Tony's ass to attend the board meeting. That was not the case, she was never going to open those blue eyes of hers ever again. She was never going to hold her baby boy again. She was never going to tell Tony she loved him again. She was never going to tell him he was late for his flight. Tony choked back a sob, his shoulder shook once and then twice before he sucked it all in. No. He had to be strong for his son. He had to be strong because he had promised his wife. Eleanor looked up at him, smiling softly and laid her small hand over his that laid on her waist, providing a semblance of warmth even in this cold and squeezed it gently. As a result he looked down at her, his glazed brown eyes staring into hers without any emotions. She didn't what was going on in his mind. Whether if he was about to lose it there and then, whether he was angry of if he was feeling anything at all. Snatching his hand away he turned around to make his way towards his seat leaving her alone with Pepper.
She sighed, looking down at the redhead, her hand now clenching around the edge of the coffin, her being not courageous enough to touch her friend’s cold lifeless body and be made aware of her death again. "Them over me always, Pepper. I promise." She whispered softly, taking one last look at her, "I love you." And then she too made her way to sit next to Tony, who was sitting next to Rhodey, Happy now in the row behind them.
As the services commenced, Tony Stark was invited up for eulogy considering he was the closest to Pepper out of all in the room. And rightfully so. Everyone's eyes snapped over to the man sitting next to her. Eleanor wasn't aware this was going to happen otherwise she would have done something to prevent it. She wasn't even sure if he was in the right state of mind to speak in front of so many people. Her eyes met Rhodes, who looked at her confused-even he didn't know what to do.
"Mr. Stark if you may?" The priest asked over the mic again.
Eleanor felt him shiver, but he stood up, slowly making his way over to the podium, his shoulders hunched. She shifted Exton in her arms in nervousness, as he started to babble, maybe he sensed the tense environment or maybe it was because he was just a little baby she didn't know. However the people in the room, Stark Industry employees, work colleagues and acquaintances of Pepper and a few not very close college friends of Pepper looked at Tony with anticipation. The man was known for his eccentric speeches, of owning whatever room or stage he walked on. Eleanor sincerely hoped everything would go well and he wouldn't breakdown. Not only that would raise questions as to why a CEO was so dishevelled at the death of his assistant no matter how close. At some instances she didn't even know why they chose to hide their relationship. But each to their own she guessed.
"I-" Tony's crack in voice was covered up by the loud screech of the mic. Even after that he stood there silent for more than a few seconds.
"Pepper, “He started to speak again, as his eyes filled with tears at saying her name out loud for the first time since her passing. Eleanor shared a concerned glance with the army colonel sitting a seat apart from her.
"Pepper was, she was," Was, one simple word and he lost it all. His head bowed down, as his shoulders shook in sobs, his hand moving up to cover the mic, his other palming his eye.
Shit, she mumbled to herself. Immediately she got up, turned around and handed Exton over to Happy before hurrying over to the podium. Wrapping her arms around Tony, he buried his face in her neck, not caring who she was to him, not caring about the tens of hundreds of people witnessing all of this or the various reporters capturing the moment in their cameras. As she rubbed her hand over his back to calm him down, she stared at Rhodey, hoping he would understand what she wanted him to do. Thankfully he did. He got up, and made his way over to them. Grabbing Tony by the arm and wrapping his arm around his shoulder, he walked him over to a corner where no one could see them.
Eleanor took a deep breath for what seemed like the hundredth time that day, realising this was all in her hands now.
She turned towards the audience, now facing them directly. "I apologise for that." She smiled slightly at them, not exactly knowing where she was going with what she was about to say.
"It is a hard time for all of us. My husband especially," Whispers and chatters broke around all of them. People looked at each other, amazed at what the young woman whom they have never seen or heard of before in their lives had claimed. Claimed to be the wife of the Da Vinci of their time, a superhero billionaire and one of the most powerful men in the world currently. She knew it might not have been the best time to make everything officially public, but what other explanation did she have of what just happened? Of why Tony Stark arrived with a woman and a baby in her arms? Of why he had his arms wrapped around her as he condoled the death of Pepper Potts? Or of why he, the man who was considered to be heartless, to have no feelings, of being irresponsible and having an hard exterior absolutely wrecked himself in her arms, in front of hundreds of people?
"Pepper was not just another employee. She was a lot more. She was our best friend." She cleared her throat. "Infact, she was family and we loved her like one. It is still hard to absorb what has just happened. She was...” It was as if once Eleanor started to speak about the great Pepper Potts words were going to be too less to properly give her the honour and tribute she deserved.
As the service, and now her eulogy that was initially Tony's to give ended, everyone got up from their seats, quietly making their way outside to get into their cars for the procession to the cemetery. On the way towards the exit many people whom Eleanor did not even know greeted her, apologising for the loss, telling her who were they to the deceased woman. She tried her best to smile politely at them, but her main concern right now was getting to the car where she believe Tony, along with Exton and Happy already waited for her.
Outside once again, a swarm of reporters waited for her. "Mrs. Stark when did you two get married?"
"Why didn't you break the news to the public sooner?" "Is this a publicity stunt?"
Questions were screamed at her from all sides, with no way to escape them. "With all due respect you can contact our PR Manager for any information. And if you may excuse me we have a friend to bury." She snapped.
She still didn't believe they were going to let her go so peacefully, but surprisingly enough they parted and made way for her to pass. Having reached the car, she saw that Exton had already been buckled into the car seat calming sleeping, while Tony only stared out the window. "Tony?" She said his name, closing the car door.
She glanced at Happy through the rear view mirror, signalling him to drive to the cemetery, as it was time for the burial. She once again turned towards the man sitting next to her. "It will alright. It will take time but you'll see." She touched his shoulder, only for him to roll his shoulder and push her away. She only sighed, Eleanor understood his turmoil and therefore decided to say anything more and settled back into her seat, closing her eyes for a brief moment of peace.
Dark clouds loomed over them in the sky as both Tony and Eleanor stepped out in front of the cemetery's entrance. Happy had decided to stay back and look after the sleeping baby in the car. The couple made their way down the grave, where the funeral director was already waiting for them, the casket laid next to them on the ground. Her head stone was beautiful- a white marble, carved in gold.
The service processed as usual, both Tony and Eleanor looked on as the casket was lowered into the ground, Rhodey standing a few feet away from them. Tony stared at grave with an emotionless face. What exactly was he supposed to do? Or think? That was his wife in there, being buried in the earth and he was never to see her again.
Eleanor nudged him forward, encouraging him to go throw dirt on the coffin, to be close to Pepper one last time before she was covered. And he did so, with a shaky hand, he grabbed a handful of dirt that laid in a pile next the grave and let it free fall slowly and clatter onto the black casket. Soon everyone followed suit and did their part, Eleanor and Rhodes being next, and then the rest of the handful of people who had decided to be a part of the procession to the graveyard.
There was silence as the grave was filled with dirt and then evened out, their only companion was the occasional rumble of the clouds as everyone left one by one. Cold air buried itself in their bones, only Tony, Eleanor, and James now left. And of course, Pepper, as well as the hundreds of other dead souls that surrounded them. Tony felt just like those dead souls, with nothing to live for and no chance of coming back.
"You guys go." He rasped. "I'm going to stay with Pepper."
"Tony, it’s going to rain soon, and it’s very cold." Eleanor argued softly.
"I don't remember asking for your permission. I told you to go! So go." He snapped, turning around to look at her with eyes filled with both rage and grief.
She took a step back in response, and looked at Rhodey. "Go Eleanor." He told her. "I'll bring him back." She could only nod in response before making her way down the opposite side, towards the very same entrance they had come in from.
Would he really come back though? The Tony Stark, who went to the funeral, wouldn't be the same as the one who returned from the funeral. There was bound to be a change that was one thing she knew for sure. She only hoped she would be able to fulfill her promise of catering to that change, as she had made to the woman now buried six feet under.

Do you all prefer longer or shorter chapters/parts to a series?
Also, do you prefer visuals? Like if describing the outfit or the room I put in links for their pictures? Because for me the visuals are there for the reader to envision everything and when I have something to fall back on if my writing lacks in description that is of great help to me.  And if so do you prefer it to be
all in one link like a weheartit collection / pinterest board
a hyperlink wherever the object is mentioned in said writing
a collage at the start
or pictures right in the story when the object/room/outfit etc is talked about it
no visuals at all?

Visions for this part  (none of the pictures except the yellow building are mine)
The mug clanged against the glass coffee table, after having finished last drops of the homemade coffee you had missed oh so much an awkward silence settled in the living room. You and Tony sat across from you parents on the couch while your father scrolled through the stock market on his phone. Something you knew he always did when he was free.
"Well,“ He cleared his throat, putting away his phone. "We should leave you both to rest, I believe Y/N will show you your room. What do you say Saira?”
"Yes of course,“ Your mother replied. "I hope you enjoy your stay here Tony. Y/N there better not be any shortcomings in the way he is taken care of. You are in charge.”
"Yes mama.“ You smiled at her, having missed the way she always ordered you around the house.
"Thank you, Mrs. Khan.” The American replied.
"Call me Maa (mother), beta (son). All the kids in this house are my children.“
He just looked down at his feet, not knowing what to say to this overly sweet woman who he hadn’t even had a proper conversation yet was so welcoming.
"Tony, you must tell us anything you are in need of. You are here as Y/N’s friend, not her boss so you must not be formal. Y/N make sure he is part of all the activities and goes wherever you go. Don’t make him feel left out, introduce him to everyone and don’t forget about the dances!”
"Theek hai (ok) Baba!“ You laughed, “We are going to go now.” You kissed his cheek, and walked towards the stairs. “Come Tony.” You motioned him to follow you.
"What about our bags?“ Tony asked from behind you as made your way up the stairs, your heeled boots clicking against the marble flooring.
"The driver must have brought them up already,” You replied.
And surely enough they were resting on the floor near the entrance of the upstairs living room. You went ahead to grab them, but Tony cut you to it.
"Na uh! A fine gentleman never lets the ladies pick up the weight.“
You scoffed and rolled your eyes, while opening the door of his room.
"We all know how much of a gentleman you are not. Anyways, this will be your room for the next few weeks.” You told him, following him, “Do you like it?
He only hummed in response. “Not bad. Not bad at all. I actually quite like it.”
"Great! I’ll leave you to it then. My room is right on the other side of the atrium if you need anything. I am going to freshen up and nap a little bit.“
"Atrium?” He asked as he made your way towards the door. You only pointed towards the window.
"The toiletries are in the closet,“ You shouted one last time before entering your room.
Sighing to yourself, you closed your eyes and relished the smell of your old room. A faint mixture of Comfort fabric conditioner and the vanilla scented candle that you always burned when you were here.
An hour and half later, after showering you were still wide awake staring at the ceiling of your room. You wondered what everyone else back in America were doing. Had a national emergency occurred in the time you were absent? Was everyone’s schedule fine? You hoped Steve remembered to attend the meeting with the National Security Council in place of Tony.
Huffing, you got out of the quilts, deciding to WhatsApp Steve a reminder just in case.
With that being done you yet again did not know what to do.
Deciding to get some fresh air you walked over to your window, sliding it open only to enter the atrium.
Tony was already sitting out there in the lounge seat.
"Can’t sleep?” You asked from behind him, wrapping the shawl tighter around your shoulders which you had grabbed from your desk.
He turned around to look at you and shook his head in response.
"I decided to catch up on some news instead.“ He held up the Stark Pad.
"Come on! You are on vacation Stark!” You plopped down next to him. “Cut yourself some slack."
"What do you want me to do then?” He snapped the cover shut.
"I don’t know.“ You hummed, leaning your head back against chair taking in the cold air of Lahore.
"You know what?” Your eyes snapped open and you looked at Tony with a wide smile.
 "Let’s go out for nashta!“
 "Nashta?"
"Breakfast. Get up and go change I’ll see you downstairs in 10 minutes.” You told him excitedly, skipping off to your room to change.
Care free Y/N was a good change. He had never seen this spark before in your eyes before you had entered Pakistan. Home will always be home he guessed. Must have been the happiness of meeting your family after years.
After changing into a black embroidered kurta and shalwar your mother had hung up in your closet for when you returned, along with a maroon block printed shawl to keep yourself warm and checking if you had enough local currency in your bag to pay you made your way downstairs. Grabbing the keys to the black land cruiser you stepped out into the early morning fog of Lahore. The cold immediately setting into your bones as you shivered in your lose shalwar. Too late now, you thought to yourself, can’t change again!
"Chacha gee! Gate khol day!“ You told the guard to open the gate as you opened the doors to your car and turned on the heating.
The morning fog was settling and had completely covered the mirrors and so you turned on the rear heat.
Finally you saw Tony exiting the house and making his way towards your car. He too had dressed up for the weather, in some jeans, a hoodies and a coat. Winters in Lahore did not spare anyone.
"Are you sure anything is going to be open this early in morning? It’s almost 5:30am." He asked, getting into the passenger seat.
"Darling! Lahore is the city of food. Lahoris know nothing but to eat. Our lives start and end at food, everything else is just a side track. Plus where we are going is a first come first serve basis and it’s better to get there as early as possible."
 "And where exactly is that?"
"The Old City of Lahore. Today I am going to bless you with the best breakfast to ever exist. Halwa Puri!"
"Okay.” He seemed unsure but turned up the volume to the radio.
With that you reversed out of your driveway, making your way onto Ring Road. Why ring? Because the road was basically a ring that surrounded the huge city and connected all its major areas. Speeding your way through the expressway.
It was an uneventful car ride really. All you did was point out the various roads, monuments, markets and areas of Lahore while Tony just stared out the window. To see a country with his own eyes, and hearing about it in news or dealing with it on a political scale were tow completely different things.
"Sooo,“ You exclaimed, getting out the car made your way towards his side. "Are you ready to try the best ever nashta of your life,Mr Stark?”
He didn’t reply. He was busy taking in the early morning fog, how it seemed to merge the miners of Badshahi Mosque into the thin air. The bright red and yellow buildings of the food street, each holding centuries of history. The wrought iron tables and chairs lined alongside the curb, next to the park wet and cold from the February air and fog. They were still upside down, as no one who came this early would want to sit there. Anyone who came for Nashta to the food street at 6 in the morning had only one aim in mind. Breakfast on rooftop, with a direct view of the Bashashi Mosque, and the Lahore Fort.
"Come,“ You locked your elbow in his, and pulled him along to the narrow entry into the restraint.
"Y/N are you sure we are supposed to be here?” He asked, confused at the lack of restaurant workers.
"Yes! Be careful, the stairs are narrow and small.“ You warned him as you led him to the rooftop reception of the restaurant. The stairs curved in a way that if there was ever someone coming down and you didn’t see, at least one of the two were to fall and break a bone. The restaurant had been built into an old haveli, original erected in what you were guess would be the late 1800s or the early 1900s.
Tony climbed behind you as you excitedly made your way up the stairs. That’s when the pashmina shawl slipped from your shoulder, tangling into your feet as you stumbled backwards, your khussa clad feet getting caught, and right into Tony. He didn’t let you fall though, his arms immediately wrapped around your waist as you fell into him, and taking support of the wall with his palm he steadied you while you looked at him with wide eyes. "Careful.” He whispered, his warm breath brought a refreshing gust opposed to the cold air.
"Sorry!“ You smiled sheepishly, warmth flooding into your cheeks, realised his face and body were only a mere inches away from yours. "Chalo,” You moved up a step, careful of the shawl in your feet and picked it up. (Lets go.)
You smiled to yourself as you reached the top, stepping in the dawn air. When was the last time had you come here? 5 years? 6 years ago? You remember you and your friends had skipped a very important lecture on Macro Economics at LUMS, and had sneaked all the way here for an early lunch.
"Assalam Alaikum Ma'am.“ The manager walked over to the both of you.
"Walaikum Assalam.” You greeted him. “ Dau logo k liye table chahiye, railing k saath please.” (Table for two next to the railing please.)
 "Jee aye.“ (Yes, come.)
Knowing what to order already, you didn’t waste second before ordering two breakfasts and a glass of Lassi. Knowing your mother she would have probably scolded you for ordering Lassi in such a cold weather. It was a drink for summers, made of yoghurt and milk, but that is why you had ordered just one. The glass was big enough for the two of you to share.
"I got to admit Y/N, this is really nice.” Tony told you as soon as the waiter walked. “The mosque looks amazing.”
"Oh please, you can’t even see anything clearly because of the fog. Oh my god Tony you absolutely have to come with me here for lunch or dinner, that’s when you see everything clearly. The mosque in pictures is no way as beautiful as it is in real life.“
"Done deal!” He smiled at the way your eyes lit up talking about the architecture and history of your city. Right now this really was a different side of yours he was seeing for the first time. So carefree, and happy. Yes you were happy living back in the compound with the Avengers, but there was always a spark missing. Tony now knew what that spark was. You missed your home, your town, your city, your country. A glance at this Y/N and looking back to the Y/N in America, always running here and there, organising interview and press conferences, doing damage control in mornings while the team used to be passed out drunk. This side of Y/N was completely opposite.
Tony grinned at you. “So tell me more. What is in store for us the next few days?”
Five minutes later he regretted asking that. You had started talking, telling him about all the plans for the next two weeks before the formal functions started. Tony had zoned out, quite a while ago. He wasn’t even listening to what you were saying, rather he only stared at your animated hand movements, and how every few seconds they went up either to brush your hair out of your face or to fix the maroon shawl that slipped time and time again.  You only stopped talking when the waiter brought your breakfast.
He placed two round, steel thaalis on the table, each containing two puris ad four mini steel bowls, with channas, pickle, aalo and fresh yoghurt and in the middle he placed the large steel glass, equal to a 750 ml bottle.
Tony swore you squealed when the food appeared, God knows if needed you would have been sitting in your chair, clapping like a toddler at the sight of your food.
"Ok! So here’s the deal, I’m going to show you how to eat this. With your hands.“ You tore a piece of the puri, and dipped into the channa, and then the halwa. "You roll it up while grabbing the channay okay? And then add some halwa, or pickle whichever one you want. I personally do both, and then just put it in your mouth, yeah?’ You demonstrated exactly what you said, and moaned at the burst of flavours in your mouth, closing your eyes to enjoy the taste of home.
Tony soon followed suit, taking his first ever bite of halwa puri. You stared at him eagerly, waiting to see his reaction. You wished you would have recorded it, but it was too late now. The bite was already on its way to his mouth. You anticipated his reaction as he chewed.
"Hmm,” He hummed. “This is really good. Really really good.”
Satisfied with his reaction you leaned back in your seat and decided to now continue your meal in silence. More than halfway through out the meal you were about to stretch your hand to grab the glass of lassi, when he beat you to it. You didn’t say anything as he gulped down what was probably half the glass in one go. You waited for him to set it down, and then grabbed it yourself, taking in a big sip of the satisfyingly sweet, yet bone chilling cold drink.
"You’ve a milk mustache.“ Tony laughed at you, pointing towards your mouth.
"You have it too.” You rolled your eyes.
"I do?“  He questioned, leaning forward to grab a napkin to wipe it off.
 "No!” You shouted.
He only looked at you with a what the fuck expression.
"Let’s take selfie.“ You opened your front camera on the Stark Phone.
It was his turn to roll his yes but nevertheless, he leaned forward to get into the frame. Both you heads touched together, while the table separated you from below. Both of you took a few snaps, peace signs in one, pouts and poked out tongues in another.
After having finished your Nashta’s both of were about to make your way out towards the car, when voice made you pause.
"Sir Jee! Sir Jee!” A waiter came running behind the both of you. “Aap Iron Man hai na?” (You are Iron Man right?)
You laughed, of course he was a fan. “He is asking if you Iron Man? Jee yahi hain aap kay Iron Man.” (Yes, this is your Iron Man.)
"Sir jee selfie?“ He requested, motioning towards his phone.
Tony turned towards you. "How do I say yes?”
"Yes is many words. Gi, Haan, Haan Gee.“
"Haan ok.” Tony answered to the waiter, even a simple word as yes in urdu sounded foreign in his voice.
After having taken his picture the waiter turned around with one last line. “Mai aap ka bohat bara fan hu, aap mujhay bohat achay lagtay hain.”
Tony didn’t know what he meant but figured as much that it was a compliment. “Thank you.” He smiled.
"He said, I’m a huge fan of yours, I really like you.“ You translated for him.
 "Oh thanks.”
The rest of the ride was a quiet one, both of you were extremely full and all you wanted to do was get back home and go to sleep. And that is exactly what you both did. You did not even bother to change and got straight under the quilt covers, while Tony in his own room at least made the effort to get into a sweatshirt and sweatpants. About to fall asleep you didn’t when exactly you would wake up after having fulfilled your sleep. So you made sure to text Tony. Albeit he was literally in the room next to you, you were too lazy to get out of your warm bed.
Do you want me to wake you up whenever I wake up? We’ll go down together.
 Ye
You smiled at this reply. He was too sleepy to even type the whole word.
A few hours later, towards the noon hours you woke up to shrill ringing of your phone. You groaned. One of the cons of being back in Pakistan was that no one. Absolutely no one ever let you sleep in peace. Turning over, your grabbed your phone from your bed side table, without looking at the screen you picked it up.
"Kya hai? (What is it?)“ You snapped.
"Madam, neend puri ho gayee ho tau neechay aa jaye?” It was your mom, oops and she was calling you downstairs.
 "Oh, ayee.“ You answered.
"Bring Tony too. Khana laga diya hai.” Your mom ordered before hanging up.
Your mouth immediately watered at the thought of your mom’s cooking, that awaited for you downstairs.
Getting into your slippers, not even bothering to brush your hair, you made your way to Tony’s room. Only separated by a living room that had small kitchen counter towards the side.
"Tony you awake?“ You banged the door, and waited a few seconds for a response.
You tried again twice but there was no response. Finally giving up, you twisted the door handle hoping he hadn’t locked the door, luckily it was open. You entered the room only to be greeted with his sleeping self. He was sprawled out on the bed, one hand under the pillow, the other hanging off the side. You laughed to yourself, and turned on the lights.
"Tony Stark!” You screamed at him.
"What?“ he jumped up from his positions, arms raised to defend himself from whatever the threat was.
"Chill, it’s just me. No need to bring out your inner Iron Man.” You smiled at him as you leaned against the wall. “Lunch is ready, mama is calling us downstairs.”
"Ah okay, give me five minutes to change.“ He told you as he got out of the bed.
"No need, it’s just us. You can change later when the guests will come. Baba and Jibran have arranged a small dinner before the dholki’s and practices kick off tomorrow properly.”
"Ok then,“ he shrugged. "Let’s go.”
"Wiz happening? Wiz happening?“ You entered the dining room with Tony behind you, as you greeted your parents with a deep cartoonish voice.
"Time dekh rahi hain aap?” You Baba scolded. (Have you seen the time?)
"Jet lag baba!“ You grinned at him. "Tomorrow we will have morning chai together and catch up before you go the office, okay? I promise.”
He only mock laughed. “You are going to wake up at 7 to have chai with me? Impossible.”
“Ab aisi bhi baat nehi. (Oh please, I’m not that lazy.) Tony take a seat what are you waiting for?” You noticed him standing in the doorway still. You pushed out the chair next to you. “Come sit.”
Tony settling into his chair besides you was followed by a few moments of awkward silence as you all stared at each other.
 "Tony ha-“
 "Y/N fil-”
 "Beta daalo n-“
You, your father and mother spoke at the same time, laughing to yourself you took for yourself to serve him some Biryani.
"Here in Pakistan if you are a guest, or are having food with we for the first time, the hosts don’t start eating unless you do.” You explained what just happened to him.
“Well then, I better get started because the food looks absolutely amazing, Aunty."  Tony rubbed his hands together.
"Go on then. Try it.” Your mother encouraged him.
And so he did. “Tastes exactly like it does.” He smiled wide, looking at all three of you.
Turn by turn you and your parents also helped yourself to the rice.
"Where’s Jibran mama?“ You asked through a mouthful.
"He told you na, he is at the photographer’s studio with Sophia to finalise some things before the functions start.”
You only nodded, looking at Tony through the corner of your eyes. This was perhaps his second glass water, while he was only midway through his plate. You grinned to yourself, knowing that the Biryani may have been a little too spicy for his taste buds but you let it be and didn’t say anything.
“Speaking of that, you have got dress trials tomorrow. Tony’s clothes are with the same designer as well. So are your other friends. Be ready by ten thirty tomorrow morning. Both of you are going with me.”
“Urgghh!” You threw your head back in a groan. “Why so early maa?”
“Shut up! It’s you brother’s wedding. If you won’t wake up early and get the work done with me then who will? Plus it’s your dress trials.”
"Yay hain na!“ You bumped your shoulder into Tony. "You will do all the work on my behalf, won’t you? I mean I brought you for a reason.” You smirked.
“Not really, I’m Uncle Aunt’s VIP guest, aren’t?” He turned towards them.
“Yes definitely!” Your father’s eyes lit up as he agreed. Another partner for teasing his precious daughter who was back after years. It couldn’t get any better.
"Haw!“ You gasped. "Are you on my side or his?”
"His.“ Your mom shrugged, gathering up the plates to take into the kitchen as everyone was finished with their foods.
"Been here less than a day, and they love me more than you Y/N. Don’t be jealous. It’s okay.” Tony taunted you.
“Shut up!”
He only laughed as he got up from his seat, messing your hair as he did so. “I’ve a meeting with Pepper, I’ll be upstairs.”
You turned to face him so that you parents wouldn’t see you. Fuck you. You mouthed.
"I don’t mind.“ He smirked at you one last time before turning around to make his way to his room.
Your mouth dropped open in shock. Not really in shock as to what he had insinuated since making dirty jokes was a common occurrence between the both of you, but because he had the audacity to say he wouldn’t mind doing so in front of your desi parents. They were liberal but not that liberal. You were glad they didn’t know what context he said that in. But at the same time you thought to yourself. that wouldn’t be too bad waisay. Immediately you shook your head, haram thought Y/N. He is only a friend, a non mehram.
"Aur sunai mama baba,” You turned towards them once again, diverting your mind from that very sinful idea.

What would it be like to be in a car chase with Tony Stark?
Tumblr media
Well for one, the car would be expensive. Like really fucking expensive, with a custom turbo engine he would have made himself.
The car is probably some really bright eye catching colour. Fire engine red or maybe as bright of a yellow as as a highlighter.
Wherever you go in that car with him, all eyes are on it. Literally.
The both of you are most likely to be followed by HYDRA and its goons on a busy highway while returning from a weekend trip in the cabin in the woods.
The way his hand grabs the gear stick, his million dollar watch would glint in the sunlight. His other hand would he clenched around the steering wheel, urging the veins in his hand to pop out.
And you would definetely be turned on by that.
Specially when he goes turbo, and is pushed against the seat, eyes focused on the traffic infront of him, while at the same time he keeps looking through the side mirrors if they are still following the both of you are not.
"Grab the gun from the console." He would order you. "You think you can shoot them babe?"
"Who do you think I am Tony?" You would smirk, and pop out of the sun roof in the car, trying your best to shoot down atleast one tyre of the 3 jeeps that are following you.
Meanwhile Tony's left arm would wrap around your bare legs to keep you stable, the right arm still controlling the car.
He would speed through civillian traffic, and a seven lane highway and various trucks and vehicles without even blinking an eye.
Afterall, years of car racing during his Post graduates had made him a pro.
Also what difficulty was there to a drive a car you had made yourself.
"Get down!" He would then scream at you.
Making sure you are safely back in your seat, before drifting and taking a sharp turn.
You swore if caught on camera it could be a scene from Fast and Furious with the way Tony drives the car.
"I think we have lost them." You would then tell him, as you guys now make your way towards his mansion through back roads.
"Good, I wasn't planning on destroying this car anyways. I just customised the engine last week."
"You know? I never knew being in a car chase with Iron Man would be so hot."
He smirked. "Is that what was going through your mind all this time?"
You would only hum in response, your hand moving towards the emergency handbreak.
He realised what you were about to do and just time in time steers the car towards the side track that runs through the woods.
An ear piercing screech is produced when you pull that handbreak but you dont let that ruin your mood.
"What do you say we break in the hood? Make it feel more like home since its so new?" Your hands trail up his thigh.
Grabbing your wristly tightly and refraining you from moving any further up he smirks at you. "I think that is a great idea sweetheart!"
ps: i literally wrote this in the spur of the moment on tumblr's create post. This wasn't planned or anything lmao. Please excuse the typos hehehe

I mean we shouldn’t even have to shed light on this anymore, reblogs are really essential for writers to reach their potential audiences, and act a signal that their work is being read and liked. While likes are also essential, they do not exactly portray if the work was liked, because literally anyone can double tap. When you reblog or leave feedback that’s when we really know that our work is appreciated and is actually genuinely liked by the audience.
PART 3 is AMAZING! you’re so right, we need to treat writers like how they treat us. you constantly spew out great work, i hope you know that i check your blog everyday for story updates or just updates on your life. you’re great
