Okay but being the little spoon is an art that takes honing, it takes practice to be a good little spoon. And I'm willing to say that Nico's never slept with anyone if anyone goes double entendre at that I'm going to get murderous anywho on the other hand Will is a natural sleep like the dead sleeper, a skill born of countless nights where his sleepy time place was like an empty chair hidden away in the infirmary or something while the world's burning around him, like he has an unparalleled ability to just log the fuck off. But Nico is used to sleeping lightly so he can be his own guard when he's on his own, + nightmares make him a chronic light sleeper.

They try spooning like 1 time cause it soothes Nico's fight or fucking die response but as soon as Will is off they're Set in Stone not an inch to move which claustrophobia -> panic attack -> shit goes south real quick. If Nico was the big spoon he'd lose his arm to gangrene in an hour. omg hi hakki!! love the wips you posted, esp the percicobeth one!! nico would absolutely be some sort of bounty hunter. I always imagine older nico either hunting monsters, finding lost spirits for hades or working as a very literal ambassador between olympus, the underworld and other pantheons. i'm glad i'm not the only one w/ this hc!!

omg hi hi that is my exact headcannon too i just Love it!!! like it just fits in so well with him being a traveler which i feel is one of his strongest themes (plus... hermes legacy...) aaa its my fave headcanon

the neptune kid is a 6 year old named dev whos like mega traumatised because he killed his whole family on a boat accident where he was the only one to survive. nico found him and nico's an ancient artifacts dealer/mythical bounty hunter (basically he goes around doing shit), so he brought him to new rome. frank and hazel are serving their last years as praetor, jason didn't die and is instead helping chf create their own new rome called new rhodes, and honestly i really like the way everyone was written.

it was narrated alternating between percy and annabeth and honestly, if theres one fic that id actuallly go back and finish it's this one, i really did like it. some of the things i was exploring the most were percy being a house husband and learning to live according to what made him happy, annabeth being lowkey no contact with chiron because she realised Some Things about what kind of guy he was, and Nico learning to be happy on his own terms. also dev the demigod kid was SO cute

wow im looking at some of my wips from the great nico era and theres this percicobeth one thats like 10 years after the war and percy and annabeth are retired living in new rome and nico comes back after being MIA for 8 years with a new child of Neptune and annabeth and percy agree to stay with the kid cause lupa wont take him and nico was the one who found him so he stays whilethe kid gets used to the two of them and like... oh this is kinda good this is good
