Hey take it from me someone who's talked to many older alt people who lived through all the emo shit. If you have any sense of moral character you don't want to be in 2009. The scene was horrible and toxic. Jake Munro on YouTube talks about it some but basically people would call you a poser if you didn't self harm and a lot of other fucked up shit. It's nothing like it is today. Even tho it's mostly online I'd rather it be honestly. Think about it too it was like a trend back then imagine all the posers who would "be" emo for like a month and then call it cringy. Anyways hope this doesn't come off as aggressive I used to wish I was my age in 2009 too before I knew what the scene was really like.
yeah very true my brother and sister are 12-13 years older then me so in 2009 they were teenagers and i was a little kid and i thought they were so cool so and wanted to be them and obviously at the time bc i was so young i knew nothing about how toxic 2009 was, so when i think of 2009 i imagine it how i viewed it as a kid but in reality if i was my age now in that year it wouldn’t be a good time lol
