I have always been doing Hindi writing only never tried English blogging so here I am to talk about life around me in my first English Blog. The picture you can see here is actually a painting created by my wife Ritu Chaturvedi. She created this during her initial days in Mumbai when she realised the struggles of this mega city called Mumbai. This painting shows the everyday challenges which we all face. We know that the challenges come in different shapes and sizes so the different shapes and colours you can see in this painting, these are actually challenges of life which appear in all kinds of shapes and colours. The black figure of woman which you see at the centre of the painting is the fighter woman - Ritu herself who is getting ready to face any kind of challenges. This women denotes 'The fighter spirit' which we all must have. The colour black in the centre symbolises that if we have strength then we can overcome anything no matter what the circumstances are, hence this painting is the symbol of courage.

Ahh...Irrfan Bhai !!! those were my first words when I got to know about Irrfan's demise. I recalled all the moments which I have spent with him. I am fortunate enough to do interviews and chit chats with him. He was such a marvelous actor, I still remember when I called him after watching his first commercial film HAASIL and told him about the reaction which I saw in the cinema hall. He was so excited to know that people loved his performance he specifically asked 'people clapped really! on which of the dialogues?' It was his first commercial film and he was all over. Everyone praised his performance in HAASIL.

Though before HAASIL he acted in some of the greatest art films like SALAM BOMBAY and TV shows like BHARAT EK KHOJ but HAASIL was a game changer for him. Since he made his mark in commercial films Director Vishal Bhardwaj signed him for MAQBOOL and again he nailed it. The super success of Irrfan continued with PAAN SINGH TOMAR, HINDI MEDIUM, LUNCHBOX, NAMESAKE.

My selfie which I have posted here was clicked during the promotion of his film KAREEB KAREEB SINGLE in 2017 November, It was my last meeting with him.

I still remember the smile on his face. After couple of months of this meeting we got to know that he is fighting with a rare disease. We all knew that he is a fighter and we were waiting for his return. He was in UK for his treatement and returned back after 11 months. All his fans were happy to know that he is back and then he started shooting for ANGREZI MEDIUM The film got released early this year and his performance was again commendable. He promoted this film in a unique way through his audio message. He was not seen promoting this film so people realised that he is still not well but no one was expecting this sudden loss.. IRRFAN we still have you in our hearts, and you will be there forever.
