Honestly, reboot of any kind would be so disappointing no matter what. Because of how awesome the phandom writers are and all the different lore they have made, nothing alex hirsch would make could compare, to all the different versions each and every author makes, no canon could ever be could enough, no matter how dark and angsty, no matter how well rounded, no matter the relationships within the show, which like most tv shows would upset jsut about everyone to a certain extent OR make them uncomfortable because while the phandom is chill and all, we all love certain characters together. Twould be better in my opinion for there to be no reboot. But that's just because of all the fanfiction I've read and would hate to lose that idea in my head

@certified-bi The holy book thing was just me not being fond of religion being forced on people, especially kids and then after forcing one religion onto them, prohibiting the ideas of another religion. I'm a (huge) theology and deontology nerd because of the way I was raised and I do love holy books. Though you are absolutely right on the (western, the various eastern/orthodox ones have even more content that's super interesting)Christian Bible being full of things that are totes mcgoats graphically bonkers, though it's certainly not the only one like that. Kind of a pointless response, but I loved reading the Bible and Quran when I was in my teens, and then apocryphal writings are super gnarly, like the book of jasher, enoch, the gospels of peter, thomas, and mary. I could go on for a while, but uh, all this to say you're right on that one, holy books are the one place I think censorship for all ages is lowkey bad but I can certainly see the benefits of not giving kids thirteen differnt hells and a hundred+ gods and their associated disasters, wars, and other asorted atrocities.

TL;DR You're broham, I just really like holy books and am projecting my beliefs of no censorship of any gods' word for any reason. Also, Holy Wars from Megadeth's Album Rust In Peace is phenomenal imho

So. We all know the Fenton's are weird and obsessed with ghosts, but why? I've proposed the theory they blame ghosts for Vlad because they're in denial and still love him, but I've got something even better. What if, the Fenton line is cursed by witches who were trying to protect them from the fae. So everytime a Fenton is born the child is named by a ghost who posesses the parents and gives the child a middle phrase instead of a middle name, this ghost could be Clockwork, because the names always fit the child. How and why he does this is up to you, after all how could witches control the time god of ghosts? Maybe it's him, maybe it's not. This would explain ghost hunting and witch hunting (they don't know why the witches 'cursed' them) as well as allowing Danny to be Daniel Fuck Around and Find Out Fenton.

Not neccessarily unpopular, just my opinions

-Cores are kinda almost cool

-Sam as a character sucks, veganism is absurd and if you're going Goth, just GO GOTH

-There are like, three good episodes in the whole series, the show in general is just interesting concepts but not very good

-Forcing jewish-ness to be an important part of Sam's character is stupid, there's two episodes that give credence to the idea that she's of jewish descent. Judaism is a religion, not all people born into jewish families believe in the jewish God or celebrate those holidays. Making that a big part of her character in stories is just weird. I get it representation is important for feeling included et cetera et cetera. She's not shown to eat meat, and while that's not against the Torah and the Talmud gives some interesting words there, most jews eat kosher meats, as God told them to, sorta. She also promotes vandalism and theft. This is not to say I don't like jews or Judaism, I love my jewish family memebers, I simply don't care for her jewish descent being stressed.

-I'm really not fond of her characterization in general

-All ships with danny suck.

-Redemption arcs are not good. The characters being redeemed have done too much.

-Dan shouldn't exist as anything other than a threat and memory

-Dan is Danny's former future self

-Dan's whole fusion thing is BS

-Sister/Cousin Danielle does not work.

-There is no good way to rationalize halfa's, half-dead, ectoplasm overdose, whatever, it's not good, half-death is just more entertaining

-Valerie is built like a strongman

-Giving humans ghost abilities, creating more halfas, making Valerie part ghost, things in the same vein, really blows, and not in the fun way

- Just let Ghosts be OP, reality doesn't apply to them

-Danny doesn't need sidekicks

-If you're going to make Danny High Ghost King, or ghost god, make him Danielle's dad too, make the child's real superpower taking responsibility for everything that could be even vaguely construed as his

-Vlad takes a lot of rewriting to be a good character

-Badger Cereal is batter than Lost Time

-Clockwork should be more of ally/pseudo-advisor, maybe even grandfather-figure, just not his dad

-All the ghosts adopting danny is f*cked up

-Making Jack a bumbling fool as his main trait was absurd, the man made a rift in dimensions with only two other people

-That's not say he should be all collected, he just shouldn't be completely inept at everything and incapable of thought

-Making all the characters LGBT is strange, I get it, you want them to be more relatable to you/you think homosexuals are more interesting. They're not.

-Changing characters' race is bad

-Desiree as a character has so much potential and should be utilized more than a goon and not saying wish

-I have others but should prpbably stop and go write that paper

Because he's entertaining? I really don't see a problem with Nintendo making a movie with popular actors doing the voices. The castings makes it seem like a fun movie that wn't take itself seriously. Sure it won't be the same kind of good as it would be if they used proper voice actors, but I think it'll be entertaining nonetheless. The following statement is meant non-sarcastically and is intended to be read in a regular tone. I try to live my life happily and if it's not possible to be happy I strive to be content with my lot, if I can't I'll do what I can to change it. But I see no reason to be upset over movies and who plays what. (Note this does not apply to actors who commit horrible acts such as rape and/or pedophilia, also applies to roles meant to played by specific "kinds" of people, an asian man should not play a native american woman, that kind of thing)
