I think Sparrow Ben is a coward and that's why he got demoted

In the first fight scene he went to fight Five, who to him just seemed like a teenager (didn't know he was a 58 year old at the time). Fight breaks out, and Ben goes after the kid first.

He then goes after Klaus who we know he has judged to be weak

When Marcus is gone Ben mostly orders the other Sparrow's to fight rather than getting involved himself (had Christopher disarm the Umbrella's in the hotel, and then sent Jayme and Alphonso forward)

In Oblivion, Sloane was doing the work of looking around while Ben just complained. And then when a guardian showed up, Ben was straight up hiding while Sloane and Five fought. He only stepped out and used the Horror when the two of them had been knocked down.

Umbrella Ben didn't like fighting, but he always did it for his siblings. Sparrow Ben seems to have used his power as leader to send his siblings into more dangerous situations rather than himself.

Whatever the Jennifer incident is, I suspect Umbrella Ben died trying to save her; and Sparrow Ben probably let her die to save himself (and that probably tied into his demotion to #2)

2. the cube from sparrow academy will cause another apocalypse

5. one of the sparrow academy kids have a shape-shifting power

6. reginald will be a traitor

8. klaus will meet dave again

9. allison falls in love, again

10. harlan will come back and meets with vanya

11. vanya will fall in love also

12. more hargreeves shenanigans

13. drunk siblings, a lot. just some chaotic moments

14. the sparrow academy kids are the polar opposites of the hargreeves. mostly in personality

15. lila will die or kill one of the sparrow

16. the swede will return, will join the hargreeves

17. five snaps, gives up

18. five gets his old body back

20. while being in the sparrow academy, ben remembers his memories and life with the hargreeves
