Hello!! I was wondering if we could hear anymore ideas for your YouTubers au bc you said you’ve been thinking about them a lot :> any hc, plot, etc….

Before meeting Link, Revali was pretty infamous for hooking up with/starting short flings with fellow beauty youtubers after/during collabs. Def a sort of 'well, we're both here, we have a lot in common, we're young and hot, why not?' time and place situation. It's not easy meeting people when your famous, and this is just easier for all of them. It becomes so prevalent/common in the beauty side of youtube that a hookup is just implied/assumed in all collab requests, and its not a big secret from the fans: they all COMPLETEY know and lose their minds when their fav beauty gurus collab (which draws in SO many more views.) Revali is GREAT at playing this angle up by flirting and bantering with whoever he has on, driving the audience RABID.

The relationships themselves though are always very shallow/superficial. They're all TOO similar and self involved and feelings almost never come into the mix. As soon as the work is done they separate back to their respective cities like nothing ever happened.

Link is different, Link changes everything.

Have you ever considered doing a sequel to Finding Link? Or do you think you’ve told the story that you wanted to tell and it’s finished? If you don’t want to continue it then that’s fair enough, though I do think it would be interesting to see the events of TOTK take place in your world (as far as I’m concerned, Finding Link is the REAL Breath of the Wild 2, TOTK is just a fanfic written by Nintendo).

I’m the one who sent the Hazbin ask lol. I personally liked the trailer but Husk’s new VA being Keith David is messing with my head (he’s a good VA but I don’t feel he fits the role for Husk). I miss Pilot!Husk.

Yeah one of the hard things for me as someone who wrote SO much radio\\husk fanfiction is I played those voices in my head every single day 24/7 to plot out dialogue and I spent a lot of time writing about the unique vocal quirks of each character. Husk's gravel was something that became one of my fav qualities:

"The way Husk’s voice breaks into deep gravelly rumbles when he talks this quietly is a soothing balm to the distressed overlord. It’s the kind of voice that would be absolute garbage for radio. Simply incomprehensible under all the static and interference. No, it’s a voice made to be savoured only in-person. He sinks into Husk's touch and feels himself slowly calm back down." It's so beautiful and mournful, it makes me feel so many things T_T That being said, yeah Keith David's is a LEGEND. He's going to crush it (and maybe is one of the strongest of the new casting as a veteran in the VA industry) but sometimes you just get too used to/attached to something. I am so adverse to change, I used to throw fits when I was a kid and my parents wanted to do so much as 'rearrange furniture'

BATB was always very special to me because I usually try to write stuff I think people 'want to read' but BATB was something that started off being 'I'm doing this for me. I'm not holding myself to standards of quality, I'm just going to have fun' and then people ended up really vibing with it!

It was definitely also my 'wish fufillment fic' Escapism into a small town surrounded by nature, being friends with all your neighbours that are so close you can just walk over to their house. I'm a geoscientist and I LOVE feildwork. A lot of my friends go off every summer in small Revali-type private planes to work in the Northern Canadian wilderness and I'm GREEN with envy so a bit of that is in there too fkjgn.

PLUS REVALI's ACREAGE. UG. My prof had an acreage he filled with all of his favourite things. a house for cats, a house for dogs, a-barn-renovated-into-a-home-gym. I thought 'that is the LIFE' and immediately took inspo giving revali an acreage to fill with all his fav things.

I think there's something that needs to be said about encouraging readers to leave feedback.

For me it's not about "tell me my writing is amazing and stroke my ego"

It's more about "please engage with me so that I can experience your joy secondhand and foster a connection with you"

I understand that not everyone wants this in their reading experience, some people are shy and a million other reasons why maybe someone wouldn't want to engage and that's perfectly fine!

But what I'm trying to steer away from is being a passive content creator with passive consumers. What I want to steer toward is fostering a community that is essential to fandom. I want to see your reactions because it makes me feel like I'm a part of something.

On encouraging reblogs —

I understand that not everyone is comfortable reblogging, especially explicit content. This is ok!

But just consider that the only reason you were able to enjoy a fic or fanart is because someone else shared it, and by not sharing it yourself you are potentially robbing someone else of the opportunity to enjoy it as much as you did.

As OPs our reach only goes so far and this website relies on reblogs in order for anything to truly get seen by a wider audience.

So that's really it! That's why I encourage these two things at the end of every story I post. Not because I'm trying to be demanding and "make people feel bad" if they don't do it.

I know most other social media sites encourage mindless content consumption and that's just the way of the world nowadays, but I am from a time when community was at the heart of fandom and I just don't want to lose that.
