Headcanons for Dream and Nightmare? Any brotherly shenanigans?

Sorry that it’s taken a bit to answer this- 

Headcanons under the cut UnU

-Dream refuses to fight anyone except Nightmare. He believes that everyone deserves a chance/has good in them but since Nightmare is his counterpart and brother, they just always end up fighting. (Not in a serious way tho- Just like a sibling rivalry)

-Although Nightmare relishes in people feeling negative, he physically can’t feel that with Dream. 

-When Dream feels bad, Nightmare feels bad. When Nightmare is happy, Dream feels happy. (Like when one is feeling happy/bad the other feels just as happy/bad (but only with those two emotions))

-When Nightmare and Dream were kids, Nightmare used to constantly do things he enjoys so he can feel happy and Dream would feel the same. Although this was a super sweet thing, Nightmare would only focus on trying to make Dream happy instead of like making friends (since he didn’t see “friends” as being a happy thing since the townspeople were always mean to him)

-Speaking of which, the townspeople would constantly try to keep Dream away from Nightmare as much as possible since they saw Nightmare as evil. Dream never really thought much of it, but Nightmare saw it as Dream not wanting to spend time with him/ignoring him. (Pretty much this is saying that Dream never knew about the bullying since the townspeople would always be distracting him so they can mess with Nightmare)

-Dream honestly wants to reconnect with his brother but is warry about it because he’s afraid of people thinking poorly about Nightmare for making up with the guy that’s supposed to be his enemy (Another way to put it is that Dream is scared that he’ll ruin Nightmare’s reputation/make people think less of him)

-Whenever they have a (not common) semi-big fight Dream would always go to the remains of the apple tree back in Dreamtale. However, since that area is now a wasteland of negativity, Nightmare can always tell when he’s there. This either ends up with Nightmare coming there himself or just sending Horror to go hang out with him until the Star Sanses come to pick him up.

-Dream is the old brother. I do not take arguments on this one. I have no reasoning for this one. He just gives them older brother vibes. I rest my case.
